I think Ice is a scam.
Why?
When you go to the mall and order a 3 dollar cup of soda... with no refills might I add. They smash the damn thing full of ******** ice and fill 1/10th of the cup full of soda.
That's why when I order soda, I ask for no ice. The s**t already comes cold, why do you need ice? It waters it down, and eventually your soda tastes like watered down whatever if you wait too long... I'd rather have warm Dr. Pepper then watered-down cold Dr. Pepper.

I don't buy sodas in restaurants. If I know the store has refills, I bring my own cup.
Anyways yes. Ice is a scam like asking for drinks in an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

I usually don''t order a cup of soda at the mall, I buy bubble tea heart .
P.S.: Now I feel like I want to get a can Dr. Pepper out of the fridge now.

LOL, I don't like ice either. Though I usually don't ask for it without it, I'm too lazy and most people will forget, especially in resteraunts and stuff. They seem to forget when you ask for something that normally doesn't come that way, and I'd rather not deal with it more than I have to. But at places where you fill your own soda, I never get ice. There's no reason for it, and I hate how it tastes when the ice melts and makes the soda watery.

The exact same thing I said about most places. 40% of the cup is ice, so you don't get enough soda. D= Sucks terribly. ... Dad apparently likes the ice though. He filled his cup with so much ice when he was getting his own drink at a self-service place, where you pay later..
I just balance the ice nicely. Very little ice, just enough for it to keep my drink cool when I take it around with me, also considering how fast I'll be drinking it, and the temperature outside.

For years, I'd always ask for no ice because it wasted so much space in the cup. This is especially in movie theatres where the drinks are ridiculously expensive anyway.
But then something strange happened... I worked at a place that provided a free soda fountain to employees, and after six months I developed the habit of filling my glass to the brim with ice and getting a few shots of soda. I got to the point where I looked forward to chewing on the ice more than I did sipping the soda.
Wonder when I'll switch back... I sorta miss soda now. confused

Well, I also think it's a scam but I don't ask my soda without ice because most of the places they just hit a button depending on the size of the cup so they would always go like half of the cup of soda.

Just go to A&W, they never put ice in. I'm not even sure if they have ice readily available. On their cups, it even has a "Why we don't put ice in our drinks" section.

Bless A&W and their no-ice policy.
Ice in fast food drinks really is a stupid, stingy trick. I frequently get a big fork and pull out all the ice, only to find my drink with 1/3 or 1/2 less drink. This displeases me. stressed
My local Taco Time has some common sense, at least; the employees may be irritatingly incompetent, but at least they only add a little ice.

I love it. It's quite possible where you are Neo... But not here. We have two A&W's, one attached to a gas station and one in the mall's foodcourt... And both are gawdawful. I hate it. I'm not a fast food guy really anymore... Closest thing I eat to fastfood now-a-days is Harvey's sometimes. BUT! I am sure that if we had just a normal A&W place, it wouldn't be as bad as those ministands we have here.
