Rahu stood at the edge of a steam drinking his fill of water. once done he lifted his head and tossed it to get his long mane out of his face that was now wet from geting into the water. grunting he glanced up at the night sky. it was actualy a rather nice cool night that was better to be awake during than the bloody hot day that made his black coat way too hot. read eyes narrowing, he started to glance about the area, to make sure nothing lurked about that he might not want to find sneakign up on him.

Night was a good time - No sun glinting off bright metal, no heat searing his sides until he was lathered with sweat...
Of course, his armor was dulled to a dirty charcoal black, hard to see even on the brightest days. And certainly he was no stranger to hard work and sweat. At least, he hadn't been. The stallion tossed his head and laughed darkly to himself. That was before. Here --
-- well, here was a land of plenty.
The scent of prey reached him and he snorted, his senses alert for any sign of dinner. A rabbit, or a groundhog, deer...
... horse.
That was the best. There was something about eating your own kind; he shivered with pleasure. Something intoxicating. It was like the strength of his victim seeped into him, giving him life even as it died! Such a glorious gift!
Iniquity bared his fangs in a grin and eased his way forwards. The stallion moved with surprising grace and silence, following the echoes of water and the promise of a meal.

Rahu flicked his ears back as everythign was too silent for his liking. he hadn't picked up the scent of the other stallion comign his way because he was not in the right direction to pick up his scent. muscles tensed up, his dark red eyes darted around, waiting and watching for somethign or someone to pop out. it was just too silent for somethign not to happen this night. a smirk came to his face, maybe just maybe tonight would be intresting.

Iniquity was hungry. He was also strong, fast, and deadly - enough so that he could defend himself with brutal results. He'd rode with the nine and served under wraith-masters. He'd survived the flood when no one else had. He was a survivor.
So odds were he wasn't stupid.
The dark male stood silently, muscles tensed, and watched the black stallion from under the cover of the trees. Slitted eyes narrowed and he grimaced. He would give this one a shot, but only one. He -hated- it when dinner fought back too hard.
One shouldn't, after all, be forced to bleed for his meal. Prey should be fearful, soft, and a good plaything until dead. This new guy looked like he might be a bit harder to bring down. Ah well... He stepped into the moonlight, his muzzle twisted in a sardonic smile.
"Lingering around water is dangerous, my friend."

Rahu let out a snarl, as a black stallion seem to come out of no where and even called him friend. " only if one can not handle them selfs." ears still pinned back, he would not allow his guard to be down around this stallion. keeping his eyes on the stallion, he moved away from the water and to the other side of the male. " and i find lingering in the dark is far more dangerious than being near water for long."

The stallion leered, his fangs glittering dully in the pale moonlight.
"Water is more dangerous." He grinned, sidling nearer to his intended prey. "Water draws prey... and predators."
He had followed the stream in the hopes of surprising a herd of deer, or a warren of rabbits. Certainly he hadn't expected to stumble across this magnificent stallion! His muscles trembled with suppressed energy and desire; it had been so long since he'd taken down such strong prey! Iniquity shivered. He could almost taste blood sweet on his tongue, raw flesh sliding down his throat...
Careful.
"Darkness is meant to be lingered in." He flicked his tail and his grin widened. "We're old companions, the darkness and I."

Rahu kept his eyes on the stallion, never leting his eyes wander away. leting a smirk come to his lips he kept his distance, not being foolish enough to get close to this stallion as it seemed he was as malicious as he was but even more so in a crual way. " only if one where wanting to hide and wait would one linger in the dark that is if one where the predater and not the prey. also you are right, water does draw prey and predators, though i intend to not be prey." narrowing his eyes, he wondered what this stallion had planned. " so whom might you be?"

"Yes, yes. Predator and prey." Iniquity snorted and took a few steps closer. "We understand each other then?"
Clear enough to him. He was waiting, 'lingering' (Iniquity laughed softly), in the dark by water. This new stallion hit the nail on the head, as it were -- and he wasn't really trying to hide anything anyways. It was kinda hard to hide fangs and more forward set eyes.
The stallion considered Rahu's question for a moment. What was the point of telling your dinner your name? Still, if it kept his prey occupied...
"I might be a lot of things." The dark male shook himself, sending his armor chiming like bells. "I am Iniquity."

" i suppose we do understand each other." he was no fool when it came to playing the part of being the attacker, after all he was malisious and had a temper. it most likely was foolish to linger near such a stallion as Iniquity but then again he himself was simular to his stallion but in a way different. " interesting name for a stallion who seems to wear things a two legger would put upon a tame stallions back." a malisous smirk came to his face, he was not going to allow this stallion the upper hand in this meeting. muscles tensed, he never took his dark eyes off the other, it would have been very foolish to do so in this situation.

Iniquity snorted. "Fool. You don't know anything about my two-legger."
It was a partnership, a deal; he would work for the two-legger, in return for food. Or, should he say, a share in the spoils. The stallion grinned in remembrance; last time had been good. Little cave dwellers tasted tough and horrid, but soft ponies and little men...
He would -still- be enjoying the benefits of that partnership, if it wasn't for that idiotic flood.
Well. Let this stallion think whatever he wanted. If Iniquity was underestimated, all the better for him.
"Tame is a state of mind." The stallion drawled, mouth turned up in an easy smile. "I wasn't tame; I never was. I allowed the two-leggers to ride me. I granted them the privilege, the honor! In return, they gave me the chance to hunt." The stallion's smile grew into a grin. "And to feed."

seemed Iniquity was one never to be underestamated dispit what he was wearing. at Iniquity's words, it made Rahu smirk. " two-leggers are two-leggers and if you allow it they will use you as they see fit. seems to me though your the one in control though i bet your two-legger has the idea he has control over you." he then started to laugh. " your the only one i know that has thoaght ever to do such a thing."

Iniquity shrugged. "I'm not surprised."
Seriously, this land was filled with idiots. Narrow-minded, air-headed, good-for-nothing fodder. He snorted and tossed his head, sending his darkened armor clattering dully.
"Two leggers only have as much control as you allow them to have." He took a step forwards, closer to the water -- and the other stallion. His red tongue licked out and slid over his teeth. He did wish this god-damn bit could be taken care of. Annoying as hell.
He lowered his neck to the water and drank, eyes still on the stallion. Easy... slowly... he crept closer. NOW --
-- launching himself towards Rahu with a squeal, the stallion snapped his jaws and waited for blood (so sweet!) to fill his mouth and throat.

Rahu didnt like the way the stallion kept creeping closer and closer. and before he knew it the stallion was launchign himself at him with a squeal. snarling, he reared up and slashed his hoofs at Inquity as Inquity got a hold of the part of his neck. in Rahu's mind the basterd was gonna pay for this sneeky attack that was unexpected though he should have gotten the hint that this one was out for blood.
(( hahah no worries. @3@ seems the fight has begon! ))
