Present it makes the mood and atmosphere of the movie hit home more if you can relate to the setting.

I think present is the best [mainly because shooting zombies is so much fun]. Although, Mid-evil Zombies has a whole lot of potential to it. The Knights of the Round Table could be the best zombie protection in all of the land. And the disease would spread so fast without anyone knowing because of all the diseased people in the Mid-evil Zombie Theme.

If they did one in the future, like depicting World War Z, it would work really well. But then the present works the best because the disease would spread insanely fast because you know all the poloticians wouldn't do anything about it untill it was to late. Mid Evil would be could but it would be a non stop gore fest because the only way the kings could think of fighting the zombies was by lineing up his men and having them fight them like they were human.

It all depends on the quality of the movie.. If it is made to be a joke, then go for mid-evil but if its serious, 28 days/weeks later, Dawn of the Dead.. ect then present day (and sometimes Metal) works for me =)

the future could be intresting because not only would people have to worry about zombies they also have the robots and aliens to deal with as well it could be intresting. i mean the humans would get wiped out pretty fast but what about the three remaining parties that are left domokun
