accaraway who do you think is harder, the third form of sword dancer or abission It's 'Abyssion', actually...
...and he is BY FAR the more difficult of the two. I can't remember how much health he has, (I'm getting him confused with Living Armor in that regard.) but I know that it's higher than Sword Dancer v3's 99,999. Besides...Abyssion can use nearly every tech and spell (and has no reservations about doing so). He has access to any Devil's Arm he needs, and has NO casting time whatsoever in the second half of the fight. I know no-one who's beaten him without the use of an All-Divide.
Although it should be said that the aforementioned Living Armor is actually stronger than either of them...

Although it should be said that the aforementioned Living Armor is actually stronger than either of them...Abyssion and the Living Armor both have 120,000 HP. I agree. I was one of those insane people who fought Abyssion a little over level 70. I somehow won, but I was running low on gels and Life Bottles by the end of the fight (I had the maximum of all of them and Raine was healing and resurrecting). In addition, the Sword Dancer has a weakness to light attacks, while Abyssion (I'm pretty sure) isn't weak to anything. As for the Living Armor, I actually found him easier, but it was probably because I had already beaten Abyssion, had gotten extra levels in that time, and was using several of the Devil's Arms in that battle. It makes you wonder how the people with the PS2 version of Symphonia do, since Abyssion is immune to All-Divides in that version.

Thanks for the bit on Abyssion's HP.
I actually beat Abyssion somewhere between Lv. 60 and 70, and the fight took more than a half an hour. It was insane, especially when he started whipping off Meteor Storm every other attack. But I'm pretty sure that Abyssion also has a weakness to light, though not as great of one.
I've never actually fought the Living Armor...I accidentally saved over my completed file when I started a second time, so I'm working my way back through right now.
Wait...you fought Abyssion while using the Devil's Arms? Doesn't he take them before you fight?

I don't think he ever used it against me, although I only battled him on normal difficulty. I also only battled him once, and that was a while ago, so I could be misremembering his weaknesses. I think you misunderstood. When I battled the Living Armor, I used several Devil's Arms. Abyssion takes them right before you fight, just like you said.

Ah, my mistake with the Devil's Arms.
Yes, I'm absolutely positive that he uses Meteor Storm. "Suffer!", and then I started running. It was a pain in the butt, and he did it seven or eight times. You must've gotten extremely lucky to make it through without facing that attack. (And yes, I was fighting him on 'Normal' as well.)

Abyssion is the end-all-be-all hardest boss in that game, yet he is so much fun to fight considering the challenge of beating him. I think I beat him in maniac mode and he was easy (except for the fact that I had 10x eperience.). I cant imagine beating him without an All Divide though. (shudders).

I think I beat him in maniac mode and he was easy (except for the fact that I had 10x eperience.). I've noticed in other games that there are bosses that become extremely fun to fight, regardless of difficulty, so I know where you're coming from. Taitachi I cant imagine beating him without an All Divide though. (shudders). I propose opening this up in a challenges thread, or something. It'd be interesting to see if anyone would even dare to try it. ...Although I'm replaying the game now, and I'm almost at the point where I can fight Abyssion, so I might try it myself.

I remember trying it before I knew that the All-Divide was needed. It didn't end very well... xd

Taitachi I remember trying it before I knew that the All-Divide was needed. It didn't end very well... xd Yeah...He handed me my a** on a silver platter in about two minutes...
Of course, I tried again with an All-Divide and beat him again after a half-hour battle. That was pretty interesting, actually. My mom came by, and asked me what I was doing. I told her "I'm fighting the hardest boss in the game". Twenty minutes later she walked by again and was shocked to find me still fighting the same guy!
Yeah, nevertheless, he's a blast to fight. I think it's most likely because he's so challenging. Although it is a bit strange...I've fought half-hour boss battles in other games, and they nearly drove me insane! If anyone's fought the Star Magician in Golden Sun Two, I think you know exactly what I mean. That guy pisses me off more than Kvar! And that's saying something.
