Well, we can't necessarily help you out if we have no idea what's going on...

It's not wrong to feel bad. It's not healthy to be happy all the time... That's called being manic. You don't want to be to happy or too depressed, I try to stay in the middle. Remember, even Jesus was scared of being crucified. There's nothing wrong with you, everybody feels depressed sometimes. Just find an outlet that you enjoy.

I'm sure god will send you the answers you need. Just keep your eyes open.

I hope I'm making since rofl

I've found that if you look at the simple joys in life, you'll be happier. Like a flower. When I look at flowers, I'm just happier.

It's not bad to not be joyful. One time, a friend of mine made me feel like crap by saying that her councilor had said "Being a depressed Christian is an oxymoron, actually, it's just being a moron" She thought that it was funny because I was always depressed. She couldn't understand why it made me feel worse.

I know what it's like to be depressed. It doesn't have to have a reason. It's just a feeling that's hard to get past. Pray pray pray. Find someone you can trust and tell them about it. Ask them to pray for you. It is so hard to care about anything when you're depressed, but you just keep pushing through and you will come out of it. You probably won't wake up tomorrow and suddenly feel like the world is a better place, but give it time and don't shut yourself off from the world while you're trying to get better.

You could have a chemical imbalance that's setting off things in your brain. If this feeling won't leave you might want to seek help. If it is a chemical thing they have prescription medicine for it.

Um I guess your talking about depression, right?
Theres a lot of factors to consider: where your at both physically and spiritually specifically.
Perhaps you have questions that only you and "the Boss" hold the answer to.

...the funny thing is that going out in the sun every so often can play a big part in lifting one mood< Yay for saratonin!XD>

Lol sorry all if I'm totally off topic....I can't quite place what it is, per se.

Ok. I need help in this area also. I have been diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder. If you aren't familiar it is a step down from bipolar. I could develop the next stage if not medicated. So, I take Depakote. My moods are still up and down and I am still over all deprested. I hate the medicine because it does nothing. I have to take it because it is expensive and I kinda abused some other pills so bla bla bla...I have to finish the bottle. There are tons, they tell me, of different med.s to take to treat it but Depakote is supposed to be most popular. Med.s are scary stuff though...I wish I could have another option...

Thats really going to help, isn't it?

It's fine to feel depressed, down in the dumps, blue or whatever you want to call it. It's natural.

Like Queso Solo said, it could be a chemical imbalance. It could be your diet, it could be that your not getting enough exercise or it could be the weather.

Whatever it is, it might pass, it may not. If it doesn't pass then get some help. If it does, then figure out what changed and how you can use that information to help you next time you feel a bit low.

Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."

"Happiness is a consequence of good things happening around us; it is superficial. But Joy comes from inside, from knowing that God has not forsaken us and that He does indeed love us. That Joy can come from no one but the Holy Spirit."
Ruth Senter

"Joy, must be sharply distinguished both from Happiness and Pleasure. Joy has indeed one characteristic, and one only, in common with them; the fact that anyone who has experienced it will want it again...I doubt whether anyone who has tasted it would ever, if both were in his power, exchange it for all the pleasures in the world. But Joy is never in our power and pleasure often is." C.S. Lewis

"I also know that God understands your grief. Isaiah 53:3 talks about the pain that Christ endured during his life on earth: “He was despised and rejected… a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.” Jesus understands whatever agony you’re going through. He knows how to get you through your most painful experiences—regardless of their length or intensity. How long will that be? It’s different for each of us. But I trust that you will find comfort in knowing that God completely understands your makeup (Psalm 139)." ~ christiangoth.com

those are a few things found on the internet for ya ^-^ it was nice to look up, the last few things were found at christiangoth.com

A very wise person once told me that Joy and Happiness are not the same thing. Not even synonyms of eachother. That you can have Joy but not be happy.

Happiness is a temporary state- its circumstantial. Something good happens; you're happy.

Joy is something much deeper. Its a belief within itself. You may not be happy but you put your faith in God and are satisfied with the fact that he will get you through, even if you can't quite see the light over the horizon- you know its there and you walk to it.

Am I making any sense? Basically, its not wrong to be depressed. Or angry. The Imprecatory Psalms were especially written so we can express our anger to God. (Ie. Psalm 137) God made us and he knows how we tick, better than we do ourselves. We just have to make the decision to stay with him and trust him, and he'll give us Joy. (which isn't happiness. XD)

There is a lot of depression going on right now. The world is kind of scary right now and the general mood is bleak. But God is still in control, and He's still with you. Try and wrap yourself in His presence and know he's there for you.I've been struggling with depression for years, My meds work somewhat, but what keeps me going is him. Hang in there, try to talk about it. shared pain is lessened. But also try to have some fun. Find something you enjoy and get into it. try doing new things. I don't advocate it but exercise. These things can trigger endorphins and that will help stave off the depresson.
