Footsteps died out slowly to a soft unheard tap on the floor before coming to a halt two feet away from the closed door. So she had been right in assuming that yet another of these hallways came to yet another dead end, though you could no longer tell the difference between one and the other. sure maybe that one had a 'please do not disturb' sign, or another might have a pot plant to the side but after running around for so long one easily sees them all turn into the same dreary hall. Was it to much to ask for some kind of different wallpaper?
For the last hour Siali had been searching through and flittering from room to room, opening doors and pushing on the locked ones. It had been easy enough to work out where the easiest accessible place were. Floor one was indifferently locked up tight, no one came down but for the odd trainer who looked at her once then dismissed her presence if only slightly more intrigued about the place they had just entered. It was three 'o'clock, or about that time Siali had estimated, and her stomach was letting off regular groans in frustration as if to reinforce the idea of lunch time. There had to be a kitchen somewhere right? where was the last one she had seen? Was it back down the hall, left twice and then a right? Or had it been back down the hall then left, right, left? Then again it also could have been up on floor 2 as well, given her current position was on floor three. Why did the place have to be so large?
Of course it was technically her own fault she was stuck down here, Cheret had advised her against doing it but since when had Siali listen to someone almost twice below her current height? Then again that had only changed recently and the human girl had seniority over her, and the usual trainer Vs. pokemon fight...yeah that one decided most of the decisions that Cheret and her newly acquired pikachu couldn't see eye to eye on. Still being lost and hungry beat training in a damp earthy smelling cellar any day.

Each corridor looked like the next, an endless maze of hallways and doors. It was no surprise that Icarus, a squirtle turned slightly-human, was lost.
Just earlier he had been in his room with his beloved trainer, Saveria. She had been working the previous day at her family's Tea House and was tired when she returned to the mansion at the late hour of 9PM. Still, Icarus had been so excited and happy to see her that she couldn't refuse playing with him long into the night, which is why, even this late in the afternoon, she still wasn't awake. Icarus had woken up because he needed to use the lavatory, but when he tried to wake up Saveria to take him, she slept through his attempts like a log. Knowing no amount of puppy dog eyes would get her to wake up if she couldn't see them, he made the bold decision to go by himself! Wouldn't Saveria be proud of him then! 8D
....which is how he ended up in the predicament he was in. Having no memories from before he was mutated, he relied on Saveria a lot to guide him and teach him, his mentality being no more than a mere toddler's, despite his teenaged appearence.
Icarus was starting to get to the point where he couldn't hold it in anymore, but he knew it was "bad manners" to go anywhere but the toilet. So instead, he fell to his knees and started crying a waterfall of tears, hoping Saveria would come rescue him...and take him to the lavatory...

Siali bit her bottom lip in annoyance, raising a finger to increase her bottom lip to an even fuller state, replicating the perfect expression of 'why me?' in her facial features alone. Her further growl and 'kick' of hunger pain from her stomach caused an involuntary arm flail towards the upset body function. The sudden movement caught her off balance, sending her heels flying on to the other and sent her on a crash course into the wall so she was now sliding down its smooth surface with one hand cramped over her abdomen and the other groping desperately at the air for something to balance her out. Ah, she'd never had this problem as a pokemon, falling only resulted in a small inconvenience to one's travel. It was hard to hurt yourself when you only stood about thirty centimetres up from dirt level.
But that was then, this was now and right now she was hungry ad her stomach was getting awfully mad that it hadn't eaten yet. Yet another inconvenience, you couldn't just take something, that was considered stealing no matter if it came from any old bush. Especially if that bush was in someone else’s yard apparently. Her ears twitched under the mess of bright orange hair she had recently come to grow somewhere in a white laboratory. Another sound as coming from someone apart from her, and it seemed....close? No, more 'near' than close. Her ears twitched again, this time more attuned to the sound and she hunkered down in an attentive kind of way. Something Cheret would have started positively beaming over had she been there.
Ah there it was, the sound! It was ahead by a good hundred metres but if she walked quick enough she could get there soon. Her feet pushed upwards, regaining balance with good haste and she set off in the ( hopefully ) right direction. It wasn't long before she did come upon the cause of said noise, which had now become a more identifiable sobbing noise. Her head peered around the corner, starring with glowing ember colored eyes at the sad creature before her. It had a very pale skin color, blue as it were. Or maybe aqua and it looked really smooth or rubbery to touch. Not like her bright orange-yellow skin tone. Yeah, she wanted to poke it! A more harder looking exterior was mounted on his back, cut into a hexagon pattern, and it had pretty hair, couldn't forget that. Smacking a fist against her other palm she realised she was looking at what might possibly be another thing like her, another...high...hie? Oh what had Cheret said? Hybrid...yeah that was it.
So it'd be okay if she poked it then right? A chart on the wall had said touching people before talking to them wasn't polite, but this wasn't a person was it? Without thinking to much more about it she simply walked out, head high and determined. "Pi…ka?" She uttered, the first and most comfortable word to her mouth being the first thing to come out as she indeed fulfilled her wish and poked the pale blue creature.

Icarus' hands were loose fists pressed against his cheeks, trying to stop the flow of tears to no avail. He wasn't even aware someone was behind him until he heard a very distinct, "Pi…ka?"
The sudden noise made him jump, and temporarily stopped the steady stream of tears, at least long enough to slowly turn his head around and gaze up at a very tall...uh...yellow thing o_o . Icarus still couldn't diferentiate the Lab's Poké-experiments from real humans yet, and he'd never seen this person before. Looking like a young woman, Icarus' mind identified her with his trainer, Saveria, thus making this yellow person into a person to turn to in his time of need. His large red eyes seemed to get a bit larger as tears formed at the corners.
When the yellow person poked him, he threw himself at her legs and latched onto to her, starting the sobbing up once again. He kept trying to tell this yellow person that he needed to go to the lavatory inbetween his sobs, but he wasn't in the state of mind to form a proper sentence, and he also couldn't quite remember the word "lavatory", since it was a very long and werid word (and Savannah, his trainer's twin, had forbidden "vulgar" words such as 'toilet' and 'potty').
Instead what came out of his mouth was a string of "La"s, as that's the only part of the word he could remember.

Siali's expression grew ever more curious given the fact that it had yet to say a word yet, did it even realise it had been touched or seen yet? Within seconds her question was answered as it instantly stopped its sobbing for the minute to turn and look at her with it's own expression of...surprise? Or maybe that was just the watery eyes that made it appear so. It also became obvious that this 'it' was no in fact an 'it' but most likely very much of the male species.
Apparently though it had been a bit of a mistake to poke it as no sooner had she lost contact with the pastel colored skin did it throw its arms around her legs and latch on with waay to much force. Argh! Her immediante reactio was to shake said leg and try to get him off, what was he doing!? Cheret didn't do this, she didn't do this, what the heck was it doing!
A new wave of tears came flowing from glassy looking red eyes, she could feel the tears already making a trail downwards to the floor, a most unpleasent sensation. Even worse was when it simply began to..to...sing? Was it singing? It was just a string of the word 'la' over and over again, and it didn't sound very musical like the stuff Cheret liked to listen to. But then again she was more than happy to join in with this conflicting melody.
"Kachu- " No not 'Kachu'. Cheret had been strict in saying that Siali had to talk like a normal human, like her. none of this repetition of her pokemon name. "Like....T-this. La la la laaa" She managed to get out, the words foreghn in her mouth and to a normal human perhaps a little hard to distinguish but as long as they were basiclly understandable what did it matter? She was far too caught up with her own singing now to bother thinking through what she had previously though. She knelt down next to the little blue boy and tried to convince him to sing properly too, like her but obviously it didn't work. Probabbly because she had yet to realise he was asking for a lavatory and not just trying to sing.

When the yellow-girl-who-was-like-his-trainer-but-not started off with her, "La la la laaa"s, he did his best to copy her between sobs (for he often imitated people's actions and words). At first he thought the yellow-girl was trying to teach him to say the word again, since he had forgotten...but after about the 50th "la", he began to doubt if they would ever get to the second syllable of the word. However, something he hadn't noticed until about now, was that during the chorus of 'La's, he had somehow come to point where he wasn't sobbing anymore, and had also detached himself from the yellow girl's legs. Yes, this girl was more and more like his trainer, who was always able to help him stop crying (though Saveria usually did so by completely spazzing out when he cried and did stupid stuff that always ended up making him laugh). His tail twiched back and forth cutely as he got to a happier state of mind. He knelt on his knees seiza-style, as Savannah had taught him, and waited patiently for what came after 'la'.

"There ya go..." Siali smiled, stopping between notes here and there to muss up his hair in a kid brotherly sort of way. what a quick learner. Now maybe he'd be happier since he could now sing properly. However he attention span was waning, stomach gorwling more ferociously and the same not over and over again was just boring and boring was not good. In fact the only thing that had changed was he was no longer latching onto her leg like some kind of blood drinking bug leech and he was actually smiling.
"hmm what comes after 'la'." Sialia thought aloud, stopping mid tune and holding up a hand to her face and counting the ones Cheret had used to explain songs. "Doh, ray, me, far, so, la...Ti! Yeah that's it 'Ti! Oh...but no song I know starts with Ti..." She put her hand down, though only two fingers stood upright which represented 'la' and 'ti'. her eyes glazed over for the breifest second as if in deep thought and then... "Wanna go find the kitchen with me!?" Ah. How the mind of Siali wanders so quickly and jumps from one topic to another, it could be compared to a four year old in a toy store, or a butterfly in a garden. Never really resting on with thing for to long. She jumped up as quick as possible, striking a dashing pose with a hand outstretched and pointing to a hall to her right. "THIS WAY!"

Ah, how the gears of the young mind turned so quickly... Kitchen = Food = Digesting = Going to the Bathroom! 8DA bigger smile spread over Icarus' face as he copied the yellow girl's enthusiastic pose, yelling "Kitchen!" in response to her "THIS WAY!". -------------------------- Meanwhile... "Ugh...." With bags under her eyes, a red-headed girl managed to lift her head slightly crack an eyelid open to gaze at a clock with glowing red numbers reading 3:31. With a sign, her head 'fwumped' back down on the bed. Saveria had been up so late last night...but...she just couldn't bring herself to say no to Icarus. Note to self...work on conviction...Saveria rolled over onto her back on the bed. "Ikki...you awake...?" She asked groggily. After a moment of silence, and not even a semblence of stirring (for usually Icarus jumped right up at the sound of Saveria's voice), Saveria repeated herself, "Ikki...are you...?" Saveria rolled all the way over only to find Icarus' spot next to her was empty. She had no qualms about sleeping in the same bed with her Pokémon, thinking of him as a cute animal rather than an anthromorphic being. It took about 30 seconds of staring at the empty space beside her before her brain finally registered Icarus was not there. She sat up immediately, and scanned the room. When she didn't see him with her initial scan, she threw off the covers and looked everywhere, moving things that he may be behind or under, even some things it would have been impossible for him to hide under. All the while muttering "Icarus! Icarus? Icarus?!" over and over to no avail. When she had checked everywhere at least three or four times she finally concluded Icarus was not in the room. She let out a yell (not that girly scream...more of a manly 'Argh') that seemed seemed to shake the entire mansion. She got dressed in about 6.4 seconds and tore out of the room and down the hallways with blazing speed searching for her missing Pokémon.

Ah so the young kid did know how to do something properly then!Siali bemaed at her new accomplice's enthousiasm and without thinking to hard about the nide ( let alone the noise ) She stretched out her brightly colored golden yellow arms to the widest possible points, much like a child imatating an airplane, although instead made pidgey noises every couple of feet.
++++
Cheret sighed, a bored look written all over her face with an empty pokeball rattling dramaticlly on her palm. Almost two hours gone past and she'd neither seen nor heard a single thing of her most interesting companion Siali since she had suggested making a trip to test out some of her companion's abilities. It was often odd to see the young girl with the soft expression holding the hand of the much taller female pokemon anthro, telling her to stop pointing at or poking something along the way or simply just to stop fidgeting. not that it helped, siali was always restless, even when in her pokeball or sleeping she would move as if never comfortable. It wasn't a simple hyperactive nuisance either, just curiosity in over drive. Though cheret could hardly complain, curiosity had thrown her at this strange places doors and then had lead her even deeper into its strange pokemorphic inhabitants. It was a breakthrough waiting to happen really.
Of course actually saying something alloud was prohibited, but surely one day a permanent release of these so called 'luxury pets' would be in the near future and she could publish her own theories, ideas and in general a first hand 'owners manual for beginners' to say in more posessive words than she would like to admit. "Argh...Siali." She muttered to herself, putting a hand to her forehead in concern. Oh yes, choose the shiny pikachu withe the loveheart tail. she'll be cute and serene and a joy to be around. NOT! Oh why hadn't she chosen one of the more sturdy types? A bulbasuar or even better a squirtle. It's easier to dry something than get torch marks, leafy cuts and electric zaps out of it.

As Saveria ran down the halls, she opened every door she could see, quickly turning the knob and throwing the door open long enough to shout, "ICARUS?!", before slamming it shut and moving on. She was a woman on a mission, a woman in hysterics, a woman who probably needed a dose of Ritalin. sweatdrop
There was one room she came upon, looked into, about to say her repeated line, but she only got as far as "IC-" before stumbling in on a man changing his clothes...practically naked. After a moment of awkward silence she slinked out of the doorway and gently closed the door before continuing her mad search through the mazes of hallways...but without opening anymore doors (she was hoping he'd be in an open place at this point).
--------------------------
When the two Pokés reached the kitchen, Icarus' eyes became like giant saucers, taking in all the kitchen stuffs; utensils, cookware, dry ingrediants, stocked cupboards, a fully pantry, and a large shiney fridge. Icarus liked shiney...Shiney was pretty 8D
He decided he must inspect the shineyness and walked up to the fridge. He saw there was a button to press on the outside. Not being able to read what pressing it would do, and only thinking of what wonders were to beholden when you pressed it, he stuck a light teal finger on the black button.
After depressing the mysterious button he heard a low whir along with a few ka-chunk-ing sounds, then alluvasudden the fridge started attacking him...with ice cubes D8
Despite his size, Icarus quickly retrated his entire body into his shell, letting his body shield take the brunt of the icy attack! He whimpered as the ice kept shooting out, for he had pressed the button hard enough to get it stuck.

"ICARUS?" Hm? "ICARUS!?" Ickah-what? "IC-" Hmm, wonder who or what made it shut up at last. By this time cheret had almost completely given up, she wasn't even sure which hallways and rooms she had or hadn't checked. It was getting her no where and now she was hearing someone yelling out some random..item? Person? Thing...at the top of their voice. she was going to get a headache soon. Of course now they had stopped and she was most gratefull of that. A ruslte indicated she had reached into the foremost pocket of her star dust bluebag and pulled out something which she could snack on during her trip. Cookies, well she did need a quick energy boost. Last time she'd ever let her mother pack a supposedly 'nutritious' lunch for her. It took cheret a further teo minutes that the phrase hadn't been a laughng matter or joke of any kind. She'd left her family to come and live here, these cookies had probabbly een in here for a few days. Ah, they should still be good. If a little crumbly.
++++
"AH!" Siali beamed as her bare foot hit the black and white tiles of the medium sized kitchen, it wasn't as big as the one cheret had next to her in the dorms but it was a kitchen none the less and that meant food. She stretched her arms out. "MM,H-yum!" She laughed loudly,,clasping her hands together and bringing them to her cheek, eyes squinting closed in happiness. Food was the best, especiall human food and this just happened to be a very human food like looking kitchen! However no sooner had she settled herself on one of the chairs surrounding a black tabletop bench did her curious new companion let said curiosity get the better of him and was flinching away from what appeared to be tiny clear square bricks.
She jumped up, her tail bobbing slightly so she'd had to grab it to make it stop throwing her off balance, doing so in the same swift motion to which she had gotten up and headed directly into the line of fire of the 'clear bricks'. "Stop!" she siad, the first cube hitting her and bouncing off with the same force as a small pebblw and hurting just as much, closely followed by another, and another and another Ack! Her frame now hunched up before the little shy squirtle boy, fennding off most of the ice attack. Obe might call this noble, almost loyal and a very deeming quality. In all truth she just didn't want him crying again though, did it balance out that she was protecting him or not? didn't matter, thatwasn't the thought going through her head anyways.
Using her amrs to block the ice from making direct contact with her face she looked to see whereabouts it was coming from, pin pointing the little dispenser and the black button. Well, if the black button started it surely it might stop it right? That was just logic. she turned back to the litte whiney boy she was 'protecting.' "If it hurts, don't cry 'cause it won't last long okay?" The longest human sentance she'd said so far and Cheret had missed it, if she'd known she would have gone ballistic.
for a momet it appeared as if her form had wavered, as if vibrating at an incredible speed and then she was gone, her path would have been almost untraceable if not for the yellow blur which took ten seconds to battle ice and make her way to the refridgerator, (which unbeknowst to both pokemon was actually running out of ice ) it was a what Cheret might call a 'smaple' of her 'quick attack'. Her arm flicked out, the wrist hit by a stary ice cube and causing her to wince, anothe injury apart from the ice inflicted ones from charging headfirst into the damn thing. THe botton clicked softly and ended the onslaght, leaving her standing there and nursing a swollen and almsot reddish looking wrist.
