"Shhhh!" The librarian hissed in exasperation, glancing at the teen clad in black. Alora glanced at her brother with a sigh as he rolled his eyes. He had seemed rather interested when she asked him to accompany her to the library to do research on dragons; since he thought he was turning into one, but he was rather fidgety amid the silence.
Taking another book off the pile of books about dragons, she opened it and read through the content page. "Silver dragons..." She murmured under her breath as she flipped through the pages, trying to find information about the dragon that would be put under her care after it hatched.

If the librarian had been vexed before, it was nothing compared to now. Her eyes had bulged rather unattractively as Roule had stepped in with Vince. Although the white dragon wasn't particularly large, it was certainly intrusive.
She hissed to 'get that thing out' to the weasel but he cast a disinterested glance at her.
"There's no rule against animals as far as I can see, and I promise Vincere will behave." The dragon gave a grunt and a nod before plodding off to a table and promptly laying under it. He had to follow that brat everywhere... no doubt it was slowly grating on his nerves - Roule certainly had a rather high voice for a boy, and he whined a lot too. And touchy about his hair.
After the librarian had stopped chiding him, the pale boy had seated himself a few meters away from Alora, not noticing at first. However, as he approached the dragon information section, Roule blinked as he saw the girl. A D-corp? Well, it was appropriate that she was in the dragon area... but she didn't seem to have one or had left hers behind. The weasel scowled and scratched his chin, a little amused by how similar they looked. Long, blonde hair with pale skin, except he was a little taller and had blotches of brown here and there, both in his skin and hair.
"Uh," he started - this was a little awkward, "do you attend d-corp by any chance?"

Alora had looked up once the librarian had voiced her disgust as the two walked in. Sky-blue eyes considerably widened as she took in the white dragon. It was quite beautiful in her opinion, and she supposed hers would look like it too, the difference being a silver sheen on it's coat. Which meant...the boy with him was a D-Corper, he definitely looked like one. The splotches on his fur...vaguely, she wondered what animal he was.
Her brother had noticed the two as well, but he seemed interested in the dragon, his eyes sweeping across the animal. As they approached however, he looked away, arms crossed with slight impatience. Which, perhaps, she supposed, had something to do with the long time they had apparently spent here. A few hours had passed, as she could see from the wall clock.
"Hmm?" She had resumed reading the book, but looked up as he talked. "Uh...yeah. You too?" Which was a pretty stupid question, she realised after the words had left her mouth, and she looked slightly embarrassed.

Roule nodded - at least it was an icebreaker. "Yep. M'name's Roule, what's yours? Do you have a dragon? I guess you're researching on yours, huh.. I'm doing the same. I'm not sure whether to take magic or melee, I don't really think I'll be good at either." The boy picked out a book from the shelf, looking a little miffed. Well, he'd probably do better in magic.. the weasel had never even picked up a weapon before. Probably gave him blisters.
Vince cast a disinterested look at both Alora and her brother behind her, tail thumping against the carpet rythmically. This was the problem - he couldn't tell the difference between the girl with the large eyes and his own host. The boy needed a makeover. Stat.
Roule dumped the tattered book unceremoniously onto table and started to search for another one, disgruntled at not being able to reach some of the higher up ones.

"Alora."The girl replied, flipping through the pages. "Well...it hasn't hatched yet. But I know it's a silver, so I'm getting ready." The the girl blinked, "Magic? Melee?" The dove girl hadn't gone to D-Corp for classes yet, so she had no idea what he was talking about. Besides, she wasn't that keen to return to D-Corp; she didn't like the place or the techs. The only thing she looked forward to was the flying lessons with Ligey's father. But if she were to choose, she'd rather choose magic than melee. Alora didn't like the sound of it, or wielding a weapon. She disliked violence.
She peered up at him. "So you're looking for books about dragons? I've got some here." She indicated the stack beside her.

The boy nodded again, "Ahh, I see.. Vince took an extra month to hatch so we were wondering what was up... he just seems a little moody all the time, though. I think I should have prepared better, to be honest." He gave an absent pat on the head to the white dragon who rolled his eyes and ducked to avoid it. Why did the weasel think pats were a good thing? He never liked it when Vince petted him, anyways. Double standards were annoying but there seemed to be alot of them floating around.
"Yeah, you have to take classes for both... I haven't started yet so I don't know if I'm really good at either." Roule turned a faint pink before throwing another book onto the tables. He'd have a good pile by the end of the day, all ready for him to read up during the week. The pale boy also knew that his mother would scold him on doing all his research after his dragon had hatched, but that was the way it worked. It wasn't like Nev wasn't a procastinator either.
He brightened considerably as he looked at her stack. "Is it all Silver info? They have a lot of stuff here on dragons, but multitudes of books are really battered. Makes me wonder what happened to them."

"Silver dragons have a strong hate for injustice, and as a metallic dragon, it often feels that it should protect the innocent. It also dislikes cruelty. It does not like red dragons, as they are usually evil..." So far, Alora was pleased to read what she was reading about her future dragon. But the part about red dragons being evil greatly disturbed her; her brother had some red scales on his cheeks and on his hand, which caused him to think that he was turning into a dragon. Alora hoped he wasn't, if he did, he'd be evil. She didn't like evil, nor injustice, just like the silver dragon.
"Oh?" Alora perked up interestedly. They had to take classes? Well, that sounded good; though she liked staying at home and reading, secretly, she was getting a little bored. It would be better to get out and have something to keep her mind on. She'd have to talk to Mom about that. "I haven't started either."
"Not all." The girl frowned momentarily; her brother had messed up some of the books, some lay a distance away from the pile, and she arranged it back into two neat piles and pointed to one. "This has just general information on different types of dragons; the other is mostly about silvers."

"Useful," agreed Roule with a glance at the books, "though I'm looking for specifics... I'm surprised the library has such in-depth stuff, though." He cocked his head at the girl's explanation. "Reds are evil? Really? I always thought the base colors in general had a less innocent swagger, though I understand the animosity between reds and silvers. The metallics though are just good-natured, I think. I can't remember if Vince doesn't particularly like any species, he just seems grumpy all the way around."
The dragon snorted in reply and bashed one of the weasel's shins with his tail. Roule yelped, looking miffed before glaring at the dragon and continuing his search for books.
"I'm doing this for you, y'know." he replied sourly, rubbing his knee.
Of course you are, thought Vince nonchalantly. Instead though, he just ignored the pale boy.

"Well, that's what it says."Alora frowned, looking back at the book. She didn't like to classify people, even animals as evil really. They were just misunderstood. "Maybe they just mean bad-tempered. They can't be really evil, if not why would D-Corp breed them..." She trailed off and lapsed into a thoughtful stupor. Maybe it was using them , using the dragons? But it couldn't be, it wouldn't be possible. Still, D-Corp never really said why they gave the children dragons. Why? Alora didn't think it was as nice and simple as "Oh, the dragons can take care of the kids." There had to be something behind it.
Eyes widened as the dragon hit Roule and Mereneth, at her side, snorted, waving his tail, the tip igniting with a fiery blaze, which he had now made visible. Alora frowned at him for a moment, before looking back at the books.

"No, I doubt they're truly evil... they just have less pure thoughts going on and probably are more bad-tempered or destructively mischevious than others." Roule shrugged and leafed through another larger tome, flipping the pages on the table and looking at the diagrams of the various dragons. "Most base colours like Vince are more like that, I think. I've seen exceptions though, but Vince is true to his supposed nature."
The dragon said nothing, continuing to ignore his host but opened a lazy eye to watch the other boy spout fire. That was interesting.. the other kid looked a little like a dragon himself. But a half-breed, like the weasel. Hmm.
Roule put down the book and nested it within his own pile, searching again. He was going to have a huge load by the end of today. The pale boy turned to Alora and looked her over, especially her wings. "Can you fly? Have you taken lessons yet?"

What exactly WAS evil anyway? Alora found she couldn't answer her own question. A person, or animal, couldn't be purely evil. Perhaps cruel, but everyone had their weaknesses. The girl didn't believe anyone could be truly evil. "And the metallic colors are different." She flipped through the pages, skimming through the words. "I met a frost dragon that was nice though."
Mereneth's eyes flickered lazily to the dragon, noticing that it was observing his tail. Alora shot him a glare; she didn't like him showing off. Her brother sighed lazily. Well, it wasn't as if he had made his wings appear yet. The illusionary looked part-dragon, perhaps it had something to do with his past life.
"Not really. Just a few inches." The girl admitted, her wings fluttering. "I haven't really been to D-Corp since after I left it."
"There was one time when she was scared and she simply shot up into the air." Mereneth said aloud, suddenly breaking into their conversations. "You really need to go take flying lessons, sis." He was concerned, he didn't want her doing that again, especially indoors, she might hit her head on the ceiling.
"I know." The girl looked down at the book, small patches of pink coloring her cheeks. "But Mom's been so busy."

Hmmm.. A frost? He had heard of them but hadn't seen one yet. "I wonder what orientation they have... they might just be neutral though, who knows?" He shrugged. Evil and good didn't interest him very much - it had no particular role in his life and there weren't exactly conflicting in his soul or anything similar. "It's still cool that you have wings though - I wanted a dragon so I could fly... but I can't fly on Vince yet 'cause he's too small."
The white drake grunted and bashed the weasel on the shins again.
"Well it's true! And it's alright, you'll get to flying... My mom's pretty busy too, she's doing some degree thing so she can't spoil me like she used to."
Roule's amber eyes followed Vince's to her brother. A little strange... almost like a dragonic halfbreed? But those didn't exist.
"Is he a D-corp too?" he asked, trying to be as polite as possible. No pointing.

"I'm not very sure." She replied, remembering the owl boy's dragon. "But it seemed quite nice and friendly." That it was, even giving her a ride on it's back. Blue eyes flickered down to the dragon, she wondered why he was rude to Roule...perhaps that was when they were young. Alora did feel much better when she heard that his mother was busy too...but she still missed her mother. She hadn't got to see her mcuh; she went out early and came back late.
"No." Alora threw a look towards her brother, the one that said 'Make it invisible or else I'll tell mom.' Rolling his orange eyes, Mereneth did so, the tail disappearing. "He's an Illusionary."

"Ahh..?" said Roule, slightly confused. He hadn't heard of illusionaries before; his world consisted very little of the world outside D-Corp. Ma didn't want him mingling too much with some of the creepier people on Gaia.
"Anyways," the weasel continued with another glance at Mereneth, "I don't have any siblings... Only child. Ma says I'm spoiled but it'd be nice to have a sibling... Is he your only brother?" Though, Vince was considered family, but he was a dragon... Roule didn't have any half brothers or sisters as far as he knew.

"Um..."Alora seemed slightly confused at the concept as well; she being the younger sibling of the two. Looking at her brother, her eyes pleaded with him to explain.
"Well, we're like another group of kids in Gaia. Almost like D-Corp, and you know, one of the many strange ways people get to adopt kids, sometimes they don't have a choice though. It's quite common really." Mereneth had seen many other kids too, hybrids, animal anthros, a whole lot. "We start out as illusions and we find a guardian, an Illusionist, then we stick with them until we turn corporeal as an infant and grow. That's it, basically." He shrugged, then looked away. At least that was what he gathered with what he remembered and his knowledge of the other Illusionaries.
"Well...ye...No." Alora almost said yes, she had always thought of Mereneth as her older, only brother. "Two other little brothers and a sister. They're still small." The ones Mom had been forced to adopt, even though she didn't protest much. Melody loved kids too much.
