In this world, it is widely believed that everyone is born with a destiny that cannot be changed, that the Gods and Goddesses chose a certain person to do a certain something. To go against the Gods and Goddesses will is taboo and forbidden. Therefore, all those who are found to disobey them are captured to be rehabilitated, or killed immediately by those that call themselves "Free Spirits".
All living, intelligent beings are born with a symbol that proudly displays what they are destined to be. That symbol can vary immensly. It can be any color, any size, any shape and anywhere on the body. New symbols are popping up everyday, everywhere, many that no one else but the one who bares the symbol knows what it means. There are many who simply accept their born destiny and go on with their lives peacefully as if they hadn't a care in the world.
And there are those who a part of a movement called "Alternate Destiny". This movement is struggling against the government for the right to choose a life, to choose a destiny. Life needn't be decided solely upon symbols. Life is freedom to choose, freedom to be whomever, freedom to do whatever. This world is what the people make of it, and nothing can change that. However, the people can change. We can change the world and ourselves by creating an. . . "Alternate Destiny".

You may choose which side to be on, the "Free Spirits" or the "Alternate Destiny" or neither. The time period doesn't really matter, but it's something like the modern times, only not as peaceful. There is a war going on between the "Free Spirits" and the "Alternate Destiny" movement, and many civilians may be involved.
You may join this roleplay as you see fit, and you can place your character anywhere just as long as it serves some sort of purpose.
Magic and all that is allowed. Some people have it, some people do not so everyone cannot have magic.
Pets, companions, whatever, is fine.
No Godmoding or the like. You cannot control another person's character. Only the owner can.
Posts must be at least five sentences, though there may be exceptions. And if any one person feels they may be gone for a while, they may state that this RP is on hold until they return.

The underside of the middle and pointer finger are also black. This is usually given to footsoldiers or farmers, people generally never able to move higher than lower class in life.

Abilities: He weilds a reverse-bladed scythe, and with it, its own technique. The runes on the blade are very powerful - given to him by Leo after their blades had broken. Tamae looked around the small town. It was only big enough for 100 people at the most. This certain area has been untouched by both organizations struggling for power. That was all about to change.
Determinedly, the black haired woman headed into a small cafe called "Sweet Delight". She was supposed to meet someone from the South sector of the "Alternate Destiny" Movement here to talk about the method of recruitment. Looking around as she came in, Tamae saw no one that met the description that was given to her, so she sat down at the table nearest the door and awaited both her guest and the waitress.

"Why, hello, dear!" A tall, dark-skinned woman with long, wavy hair and her v-necked uniform opened wide to show the light blue flower on her neck leaned over the table, "What may I be serving you tonight?" she smiled wide, then froze a little bit.
Pulling a notepad out of her apron, she reached up slowly and tugged a strand of hair that hung down the side of her face. All smiles again, she clicked a pen on her thigh and poised it over the pad.

"Just tea for now," Tamae replied, smiling slightly, looking up at the waitress. The scar across her face prominently showed that she was destined to be killed. All with this scar were killed at the age of 13, but she was clearly a lot older than that. Crossing her legs, she looked around the cafe, surveying her surroundings.

The waitress nodded, smiled, wrote something down, then turned on her heel and walked off, looking over her shoulder at the door once.
As if on cue, a large young man strolled in through the door, jangling the bells over it. He moved smoothly over to the woman's table and sat down across from her. He wore a large coat and a big hat that drooped over his eyes but failed to hide some of his raspberry wild hair. He flicked out a wrist and pulled off one of the gloves he wore, showing her the thick stripe that covered his palm and two fingers. "Orange Julius. I'm the guy you're here to meet." he said, "You're the recruiter, right?"

The woman smiled. "But of course. I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle for you to come all this way. After all, we don't want those Free Spirits listening in on our conversation, do we? Even if we are all the way out here where the war hasn't reached, we still can't meet in private. It is rather nice to get out of that forsaken city, though. . . . Oh, Am I rambling? Sorry about that."
Awaiting a response, she looked out the window, vaguely seeing her reflection. As if by reflex, she swept a fallen lock out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.

Julius leaned back and looked at her dourly untill she finished talking, "Yeah. Yeah, y'were." he leaned foreward and put his elbows on the table. "New recruitment orders: you need to lay off west of here. It's gettin' too heavy, the Free Spirits are swarming down there. W'a big symbol like yours, well, they'd pick you up in a heartbeat and bam - no mo'." he clasped his hands. "We think you should start here, in this town. As y'said, it's clean, and who knows? Some of the strappin' young fellas 'round here'd join, and their ladies with them, and it's a chain." he grinned. "a'course, we wouldn't leave y'out here on y'own. If you need any help, just talk t'me, or to my-"
"AMBROOOOOSE!!! <3"
"- speak of the goddamn devil." he finished as the waitress from before wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged.
"This is m'sister, TiMoune." Julius finished. TiMoune giggled and nodded, "Hey! I knew it was you from th'moment I saw y'!" she slipped in to a causal accent, much like her brother's, that was comment with people in the southeast, the Islandic people. "We're here t'help!"

Tamae laughed slightly, watching the family moment with dancing eyes. "I believe I haven't introduced myself. I'm Tamae Kasta, though most people call me Kasta." She eyed both Julius and TiMoune, then clasped both hands together. "It is rather hard to hide mine. Can't exactly hide it as well as the both of you can since mine is right across my face. I've tried make-up, but it always comes off somehow and I'd rather not bother with it."

Rane shivered slightly as he brought up the collar of his jacket. He wasn’t used to these temperatures. He was used to triple digits twenty-four seven. He hated this weather, with its gentle breezes, never lazy, just teasing. And he hated being alone. His steal toed boots clanked along the pavement as he glanced around him. He was in enemy territory, but he was off duty. Unless his captain called him, he didn’t have to worry about bringing himself much attention. He just had to keep the collar up and the sleeves down… which he could do. He was freezing!
“Don’t know why sis had to take scratch…” He grumbled to himself as he glanced around at the shops. He had been sent to check out the area, and he did, now he was having a bit of overdue R&R. A sign caught his attention. ‘Sweet Delight’. A smile splattered across his face at the thought of delicious warm pastries and hot cocoa… hot hot hot cocoa. Turning, he walked through the thin crowd and into the shop. Bells alerted him at once and his eyes darted around the room out of habit. Sniffing the room, he smiled at the welcoming scent of food. ‘Lovely…’ Taking a step inside the café, he froze when he saw a girl with a familiar scar across her face. It looked identical to the ones that he had been shown in briefings… quickly reminding himself he was ‘off duty’ he cleared his mind and prayed no one recognized him nor saw his facial scars that stretched across his face. He wished he had applied makeup or something before coming into the town. But he figured if anyone had the gull to mess with him, he was plenty capable of fighting back. As the door closed silently behind him and the gentle hum of the bells subsided across the quieting room, he quickly found a table that was across the room, facing the girl with the scar.
