Bassist Mikey Way will be leaving My Chemical Romance later on this year.
A press conference will be held in September after Project Revolution (which Mikey will not be playing) to announce the news.

Mikey will officially leave in December. His replacement has yet to be confirmed.

We wish the best to Mikey, who will be returning to college to pursue his education. It's from an email that was sent around Warner.

I cried when i read this a few days ago....I'm crying now.
why does he want to get a better education when he already has a good career?
Usually someone would want a better education if they are looking for a good job.
I mean, he should want to stay....i guess he wants to have a good life after the band since he's married.
Do you know if he'll ever come back? It will not be the same....

i dont know, im not sure about that. coz ive been seeing stuff about him leaving in other websites although it wasnt confirmed.. it will be really depressing without mikey. he cant leave!! hes like, the brother of the frontman and hes leaving?!?? whatever, its his choice.. its not as if we can stop him from quitting the band. but if ever he is, i swear, everything in the band will surely change. crying crying crying

I will Miss him.
But at the moment he isn't exactly happy. He's coping with depression and I think he wants to get away from it all.
As long as he's happy, I'm happy.

He isn't leaving. I posted the same thing in another guild, and they told me that imnotokay.net (INO) proved it false. So no need to worry, Mikey probably won't be leaving anytime soon.
