 Pop! Pop! Pop!
Those noises could be heard coming from a small, happy and strange mare who was at that moment, bored. Nothing really exciting happened today, and the day was almost over. Ah, well to entertain herself, Epesi decided to make the annoying poping sound with her mouth, and stare cross-eyed at her snout.
Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. The silly mare started to hum to herself and sway back and forth. There really was nothing to do, and no one to talk to anymore and Epesi hadn't seen anyone for a while to begin with. Sooooo boring.
A stomp of the hoof and then she was done. At least for that moment, Epesi just stopped entertaining herself and began to eagerly search for someone. She wanted to talk, real bad...and well, one would think crazy thoughts of her if she were to be seen talking to herself.

The sky was a deep blue, the grass an emerald green, and the weather fine. Even Iniquity could approve of an appreciate these qualities. After all, a salad was a good addition to any meal and good weather meant fine travel.
But he wasn't especially keen on either of those pastimes today.
Where the -hell- is it?
He'd been alone in these godforsaken lands for two days now. Two bright, sunny days and two warm summer nights. The stallion shook himself and grimaced - his back leg still ached where'd he'd struck a rock in that flood.
Stupid man-thing. If it had listened to Iniquity instead of hauling on the reins...
Well. That was in the past. And now that he thought about it, he was quite hungry. Starving, in fact. Stomach protesting loudly, he set off at a steady trot through a low stand of trees. Something was making annoying sounds there and damned if he wasn't --
-- slitted eyes narrowed, his gaze falling on the perpetrator.

Boring day, no other soquili around...no one to talk to or play with. And she really didn't feel like going back home. That was in the past-that was for little colts and fillies. Of course her and her brother's returned a lot, but never for a long period of time.
The small mare was, though, about to turn around and prance her way back to her Mom but something stopped her. The obvious feeling of the presence of someone who didn't want to be there. A quick turn of the head, and she saw those bright, deep....reddish orange eyes. Similiar to her own coat. A soft smile and Epesi started talking.
"Uh...hello? I suppose those eyes..." She paused, and tried to make out a figure amongst all that surrounded him, and saw a black stallion-but that was it. "...Belong to someone? So hello, sir. It's great to finally see someone today, I was getting so bored! Thanks for saving me from total insanity!"

A stupid little mare.
Of course, not all of the Nazgul steeds were stallions. He had plenty of healthy, well-earned respect for the females in his ranks. But these soft, tame wildlanders were no comparison.
He arched a brow and stepped forward, hooves thudding dully in the heavy grass. She was little, annoying...
... and a perfect snack for a starving beast like him.
But he was tired, and he didn't feel like chasing down prey today. The hunt was fun, but only when you were up to it. Today -- well, he just hadn't had enough time to recover from his ordeal. He needed to renew his strength and rebuild his stamina --
-- he needed meat.
Iniquity forced a tight-lipped smile, hiding his fangs from sight.
"'Lo, little girl." The stallion quirked a brow. "Out far from home, aren't you?"

Well, if she didn't say so herself-he was the stupid one. For if he only knew Epesi the way everyone else knew her, she could talk her way out of any situation, or the latter-run away as fast as she could. Easily, and a stallion like him probably wouldn't be able to catch up.
Soft copper colored eyes tore to the ground that the huge stallion stompted on, and the little mare felt sorry for all the little creatures in the grass that he was probably killing with his weight. She would have given him a piece of her mind, if she wasn't already so curious as to why he stalked over to her like that.
He didn't seem mean, but then again Epesi's outlook on life was not very negative, and she could see the positive in even the most vicious of creatures. If this dark, huge stallion was 'mean' well, she'd find a way through it.
Probably not.
The mare smiled back, a lot more meaningful than his and she giggled. "Oh, sir. I'm not little anymore. Maybe to you, but I'll have you know that I'm an adult and been that way for a while. If you want to call me something other than my name, which happens to be Epesi, I wouldn't mind 'mare'. Little girl just sounds so silly!"
A completely serious cheery tone was flowing through her voice-such a funny thing to say to someone you haven't even said 'hello' to!
"Oh, and yes actually. I've been far from home for a while now. It just gets so boring there sometimes, so it's fun to you know, just go out and play. Meet others and talk to them!" Epesi laughed again, and eyes directed towards his scars. "I...uh...oh sir! What happened, if you don't mind me asking!?" There was really no point in asking what the stuff that he was wearing were, for she figured he had a 'rider'. Mom always talked about those soquili that wore items that humans sat on.
