Sano sighed, and flopped on the ground, not to far from his pride. He never been the same since he left. Aijla had things under control...since it was only...2 lions...but that was beside the point. He'd been acting off, and he just needed to clear his mind.

Imharia trotted away from her friends meeting place, calling a final farewell to the trio of lionesses who were moving away. It had been a wonderful afternoon, and she was glad she had gone. Since the loss of a certain pride member, she'd not been the same. Well... There was no point in thinking of that now... After the afternoon she'd had, the last thing she needed was to start thinking of sad happenings again. Her friends had worked so hard to lift her spirits... "Thank you." She said softly to the wind, knowing they would get the message somehow...

With a powerful roar, Sano slamed his paw on a tree, cracking the trunk. How stuid had he been?! He should have just kept his mouth shut, and kept her has a friend, and he'd still have been close to her. He was so...angry with himself, he didn't know what to do. He was thankful that there were no pride members, perhaps that would wait until he was over her...

The sound of wood splintering in the area made Imharia jump, starting her from her thoughts of her friends' conversations. She pinned her ears and gave a warning roar, hoping it would startle off whatever had made that noise. She wasn't in any shape to fight if it was a rogue male, but a hyena would be a fair enough fight. 'Oh please go... Please go away...'

Sano, hearing the warning roar, snarled and began to stalk back on forth. All the while snarlling and snapping about how stupid her was. "WHAT?!" was his responce, anger at himself apperent. "Go on about your business Lioness. I'm of no threat to you."

The fragile barrier her friends had errected around her temper shattered. Imharia felt a ripple of rage pass through her and snarled, the wordless rush growling up her throat and out of her mouth. She pinned her ears and stalked toward the sound, faintly offended. "With a tongue like that you derserve a lashing." She snapped as she caught sight of the lion's hindquarters. "I'd be more than happy to give it to you."

Imharia jumped as the male spun on her, about to snap at him for his insults, only to realize it was Sano. Oh the sun antelope was unkind. She flinched as he spoke her name, taking a step back. Well, this certainly wasn't the fight she'd been looking for. "Sano." She whispered softly, heart flinching. "I... I, I didn't know it was you... I.. I thought..." She glanced away. "Nevermind, it doesn't matter what I thought..."

She backed up again, shaking her head sadly. "No... It doesn't matter.. I didn't realize it was you... Forgive me for offending you, or intruding upon your solitude, King..." She hissed the last word as though it pained her, forcing it past her teeth.

Sano snapped. He was a King, yes, but she didn't need to treat him like this. "Damn it Imha. It does matter, you matter. Alot to ME! Do you have any idea how much you hurt me? Just watching you walk away?" His head snapped away from her.

Imharia winced and jerked back from him, tears in her eyes in a moment. "I'm sorry... I'm not like you... I'm not really brave, or bold, or a leader.. I'm just me... I'm just a princess... I want to raise a family one day, a family for me to love... But hearing you were leaving... And you saying..." She shook her head. "I don't know how to love you Sano, I don't know what love is... I like you so much... So much it makes my heart hurt.. But I don't know how to be what you need... I just know how to be me..."

Sano turned, and looked her square in the eye. "Thats all I want. You. And..."He looked away slightly, "If you don't think you can...then..." He sighed, "I'll let you be..." he lifted her head with his paw, " I do love you, though... and I always will...weither you do or not...."

"Will you let me try?" She murmured, watching him closely. "Will you let me learn how to be with you? Father never let me... I..." She blushed furiously and closed her mouth. Sano knew... He new her father kept her rather sheltered... And grandfather... She'd seen how much her mother loved her father. But she'd never felt that swept-away, lost-without-you love... All she knew was her head spun when Sano smiled at her, and her heart hurt when he went away...
