((This is my main rp character for gifted role plays. I have multiple characters but she's one of my favorites to play.))

Personality: Caden is a fun loving person when the time is right but is serious when she needs to be. She sometimes has moods swings which makes it hard to stand her and causes her to act almost unpredictable. She's not much for using her head unless she has to and she's not much for speaking out in groups. She feels free to be herself when there are less people rather than when there are large groups. She has a fascination with writing in her journal and magic. She likes the western zodiac and is very into horoscopes and meditation.
Power: Caden can take on characteristics of different minerals such as make her skin as hard ar rock, sharp as diamond, loose as sand, etc.

Bio: Caden, her original name was Adelle, discovered her powers when she was 8 years old and of course she had problems controling her abilities. When she was happy she'd turn as clear as crystal and of course no parent could bring a crystalized child out in public. So it wasn't until she was 10 that they first allowed her to return outside. As she sat inside for 2 years she didn't have much to do and after a few months of t.v. she soon grew tired of it and within a year she had read every book in the house at least twice. She resorted to writing to pass the time although tere wasn't much to write about when you'd been stuck in a house, only having contact with your family at meals and every other few minutes one another crossed paths. She wrote about what life could be, how she remembered it before she was confined to her family's 2 story house. The parks she loved to go to, especially the tube slide on the jungle gym's far end. How when everytime she reached the end of the red twisted tubing her hair would stand up on her head.
But in her confindment she didn't just write she learned to control her abilities and extend her own power. So upon her release back outside it was how she remembered it ,but the people, maybe it was her lack of social skills but no one acted how she remembered. She couldn't have imagined this, in all the books she read the shows she used to watch, people weren't suppose to act this way. Of course there were the antagonists in the books every now and then but not everyone was suppose to act like this, even when she tried to spend more time with her family, they seemed to still push her to the side. At 11 she started going to public schools rather than the homework she was assigned at home and was soon branded as an outcast. She was too passive and it wasn't odd for her to come home near the break of tears. What the other kids did didn't hurt her physicall her skin was far too tough but it did hurt her emotionally. For a while she even stopped talking and resorted to sign language for everything. She wouldn't speak a word until she turned 13 and the first thing she said was "I'm Sorry." No one responded to her words but she knew what was coming when her parents decided to take a camping trip up north to a national park. All her pictures had been burned, her birth certificate shredded in the trash and the weird calls to some some agency had been tying up the phone line. They were planning on getting rid of her.
When Caden reached the park she was going to beat them to the punch and leave them first so when sent to fetch water from the park's well she headed to the cliffs near the edge of camp and climbed down the side she dugged into the rocks and took and barrage of boulders and pebbles down the side and attached herself to one of the rocks as it fell to the bottom. She let her body drift into small grains of sand until she was out of sight of the rescue team and onlookers. She gathered herself and came back together and started off her own. Every now and then she was picked up by the police and taken to the orphanage. She faked amnesia and told everyone her name was Caden. There were no records of her anywhere thanks to her parents getting rid of everything. So when she 14, she was taken in by a foster family who lived on one of the lakes near the park where she dissapeared. Not entirely her pick but the family was nice to her, a lot more than her last family. But when she fell from the family canoe and started to sink, She had never been taught to swim and thanks to her powers she sunk to the bottom like a rock. She was lucky to find herself back on the surface behind her foster parent's house. Ever since then she has avoided deep water. She stayed with the family until she was 16 years old and discovered that someone had been following her. Not just someone but in fact a whole group of people, She noticed them subtly at first and then as months past she began to notice them more and more. Her foster parents already had two kids of their own and something was telling her that if she stayed they would be in danger. They had been great to her and given her a good home, the past two years had in fact been the best in her entire life, but there was no reason to cause them trouble. So a month before her 17th birthday she got together a backpack and took off once more, but not before getting rid of her records at the orphanage as well as the papers in her foster parent's possesion. It turned out she was right her stalkers were definetly after her and now that she was on the move they seemed even more determined to get her.
