Who: Valefor & whichever of Trel's standing army tag along. What: Valefor needs a place to sort herself out... a special place. When: A couple of days after Lily and Ed start on their trip. Where: Trel's place... eh, well, sort of. Why: Because plot bunnies hijacked my brain?
The grass on the lawn in front of Trel's front door rippled in waves in the backwash of air from thick leathery wings as Valefor landed, unannounced and probably unexpected. Her decision to come here for the reasons she currently held had been a long time in her thoughts, but after it was made she'd dropped what she'd been doing and immediately come over. In all honesty... what she hoped to recover here - a bit of peace and perhaps the discontent pieces of herself - had waited long enough.
She padded forward and hopped up the few stairs to the door, sitting down with her tails flicking about in something between excitement and anxiety. A red velvet paw lifted to knock on the door and she found herself fiddling with her long pony-tail while she waited, hoping perhaps that Trelweny or Remus, or mayhap Ginny, would be the one to answer. They were the best people she could think of to ask her request.

Perhaps her hope was heard -and considering the woman in question that was not unlikely- for a human with with a long honey-brown high-braid topped with a braided bun opened the door. "Valefor! What a pleasant surprise! Did you know AearHwesta was here? He tells me Seer has grown, is that why she's not with you?"
She opened the door invitingly, a worried look in her green eyes for the odd, thoughtful behavior or the angelic sailor. Since Seer had grown Trelweny realized with mild surprise and tilted her head curiously at Valefor, then 'seeing' that the aeon was changed recently too. So much had happened since the kitsu aeon had last visited. A flash of uncontained guilt exueded from the widow remembering the subject that had been discussed the last time the leathery winged kitsu was over. Those in the room reacted to her feelings, a blue tartaned audio fluttering from a hammock in the rafters on fae wings to stand by her side & place a hand on her shoulders to speak softly to Trel with a nod of greeting to the kitsu. "Lass... ye be leakin' emotions agin." "I... I'm sorry how things turned out. I should have seen somehow with the way they were together when he was staying here. One of us should have. We just didn't think..."
"No. We didn't think." The new mother's glow diminished slightly where she was curled around her four eggs by the door to the kitchen. "The pain we've brought Endless is unforgivable." Clearly Ginny was taking her role in the entire episode negatively.

Valefor looked around after all was said. Yes... she wasn't the only one in the world with troubles. "If he was here I know for a fact he would say there is no one at fault. He holds no one to blame, in any case. "Feelings are feelings because they do what they do with or without your permission." He said that the other day." She sighed and shook her head. "I'm... well, I came here rather spur of the moment... or Seer probably would have joined me..."
The Aeon stopped fiddling with her hair and padded inside, looking around... well, not apprehensively, per say, but with an obvious set of nerves. "Trelweny... ah... is there a space we can speak privately? I need to... make a request."

Trelweny could 'hear' the truth in the aeon's heart, though she did not place that was what she did other than to feel it. Ginny looked away, thoughtful. The redheaded witch believing that it sounded like something Endless might say but at the same time wondering at the wisdom or lack-there-of in the words. She liked Endless. She did not like to think of him as hurting... especially when Ginny believed he would not be had she not interferred.
It was not hard for the human to pick up on those nerves of Valefor's. More difficult to keep them out. That was one of the many downfalls of not having control of her Talent yet. "Privately? A Request?" Green eyes blinked. "Sure. I'm sure there's a room empty..."
Her mind skimmed through rooms already made and who would most likely be in them, who was home and who was away as she beckoned the kitsu to follow her to the magic door. Either of the alchemist's rooms would be empty, but somehow that did not seem right.
In the end she gave a sheepish sigh and made a new room. A new place really. Those that read her favorite comic ElfQuest would recognize it as the aerie of Blue Mountain. The bluish colored stone spanned out from the door, smooth, shaped by a rockshapers magic rather than the erosion of time both above and below. Graceful spinerets served as columns to hold up the ceiling of the spaceous cavern. Ahead at the opening a clear sky beckoned, looking yellow from the sunlight in contrast to the blue of the stone. There was no one here.
Trelweny offered a gentle smile as she bowed the aeon inside. "Will this do?"

((I used to read ElfQuest... the ones by the original publishers, not the Marvel knockoff. But that was YEARS ago. XD; ))
Valefor followed Trelweny, a little too wound up to try and continue comforting them about the situation with Endless as she normally would have. It was a selfish thing, but also true... sometimes you had to deal with your own problems before you were fit to try and help others with theirs. She padded into the room before she bothered looking at it, blinking down at the floor when she felt cool stone under her paws. "Ah... what a lovely place."
She sat while Trel closed the door, tails once more flicking around, but at least she wasn't agitated enough to feel the need to pace. "My request... has at least two parts. Maybe a third. The first part is a question..." She paused for a moment as though mulling over her words. "Your door... do you know if it has any limitations as to the size of the rooms it can create?"

((*luvs EQ* I only like Wendi/Richard Pini EQ too. Although they're with DC now, so they can focus on the art and stories not the hassles of publishing. I wouldn't be into any comics or anime probably, if I hadn't picked up that first EQ color collection nearly 20 years ago. *luvs Wendy art* I have three of her prints in my bedroom. ^_^))
Trelweny would likely have agreed... to an extent. Of course her own problems were usually pushed aside for those of her family for it was not as if she could easily deal with them. Not any more than she was doing any way.
"Limits?" The human woman pondered, her head tilting in the fashion so many of those she raised had picked up from her. "Well, if you want specifics you would be better off asking Remus or Myranda... even the Weasley twins but if you're just talking results... I've not noticed any limits in size of the rooms. Sometimes we can open the door on whole places, as if we connect directly there. We try not to use that aspect as much, because it would be too easy to lose the door and not have a way home. But as for rooms... I've not found a limit in size. Nihahiel's suite is probably the largest, though I've not measured it against the training center. And of course there's Luca's blitzball stadium..." She laughed sheepishly. "Sorry. I'm terrible with sizes. Maybe it would be easier to show you? Or did I answer the question?"

Valefor finally stilled as she though over Trel's answer. "No... I believe that's told me what I need to know." To get lost when making whole places was understandable... except... the place Valefor wanted to make she knew very well. And she would know exactly how to find the door again. If anyone else went in that might be a different matter... she'd have to write down the address or something...
She didn't really plan to take anyone with her, but she didn't know how plausible that was here. This trip was mostly to see if it could be done, and if it could... then she'd ask about getting a door at the Place so she could be assured some privacy. Not that Zanarkand wasn't large enough to find a spot to sit by herself, but if someone did go in with her it would be... well, bad for her to try and lose her company.
"It's not a room I had in mind, but I didn't know what else to call it. If it works here... Well, even if it doesn't work here I suppose I ought to request a door for us at the Place. Many more tenants and we'll not have room for everyone anymore." She shuffled her paws a bit and took a deep breath. "If you'll allow it... I'd like to try and link to a replica of Zanarkand." Please say yes... if it worked Valefor could see to it that the door didn't get lost, and if it didn't work... well, if it wouldn't make a replica of an area that size there wasn't anything to worry about in the first place was there?

"Zanarkand?" The human was thoughtful. She had always loved Zanarkand when playing her game. To make it though... she had not yet dared. "I don't see why it can't work. The original, I'm guessing?"
Trelweny wondered whether this Zanarkand would be like watching the past at Seymour Guido's home or like the 'dream' Tidus was from or something completely different. Perhaps old Zanarkand but without the people, much like their Luca stadium.
"Want to go out and try it?" See if it works, then ask the magical family members to work on it. Lily will be disappointed to miss this. It's not everyday we make a door...

Valefor visibly relaxed, though there was still a slight air of tension about her. "Thank you... and yes... the original. Or at least as near as I am able to get it. If it works the door should... come out through the door to my back yard. I always enjoyed going out through the gate in the yard." She smiled fondly at the memory. "So if it works... the door will have an address, so it can always be found again."
When Trel asked if she wanted to go try it now she couldn't help a wag of her tails. Suddenly she felt much more energetic; she was going to find out, one way or another, and that in itself would help her peace of mind. "If I can try it now... yes, I'd love to."

Trelweny headed for the door with a smile, looking nearly excited as the aeon. And she might have been if her empathy was not in check again. "Then let's do it."
Opening the door revealed the Highlander Audio from before, talking in his soft-spoken way with a very familiar looking blue & white angelic whose own voice was surprisingly subdued. It seemed whatever AearHwesta was discussing with the unquestioned male head of the household the sailor found important enough not to toy with. Catching Valefor's scent through the open door Aear looked their way with a welcoming grin. "Valefor-luv! Aren't ye a sight for sore eyes!"
Indeed it seemed she was, for the russet eyes of the sailor seemed a bit worse for wear. "Are ye doing well, luv?"
At his greeting however (tails wagging behind him of course) there came an excited shriek from the kitchen behind Ginny. In a moment a blur of golden yellow raced across the room and launched herself at the kitsu aeon. "Valefor!!! No one ever tells me you're here!!" Pouting mid hug, the Al Bhed Audio shot an accusing glance at her 'big brother' who looked a little sheepish. "I dinnae think o' it, lassie. Ye have my apologies."

Valefor paused at the sight of AearHwesta, but smiled, genuinely pleased to see him. Her intended reply to his queery was cut off as Rikku Audio squeeled and dove for her. Valefor laughed through the hug and "preened" at the Al Bhed. "Well... you know I'm here now. And... I am well, Aear. Perhaps better in a few minutes." She paused thoughtfully and finished padding into the living room, dragging Rikku until the Audio stood to follow her out. "Actually... You two should join me. I think you'll like the place I'm going to try and make with the door." She didn't want to actually tell them until she knew if it would work or not. If it worked, she'd rather they got to see it, and if it didn't, then she could explain things verbally. It was... a good surprise, or so she hoped. And she cared for Rikku and Aear too much to deny them the opportunity.

"Valefor-luv... ye must know by now I'd go anywhere with ye at a word." Padding over to her Aear nuzzled the aeon kitsu tenderly. There was something gently sad & thoughtful about the sailor though his russet eyes still smiled as if nothing was wrong. The Audio Rikku made a squeal of glee. "Booyah!! oh!! You should meet the other me!!" Drawing back from her hug Rikku pulled out a whistle (don't ask from where, since she was wearing her typical LadyLuck DressSphere & not her Thief) which blown made no sound. It was tuned to only one other in the house, who came bounding in from outside gracefully with a wag of her thin tail. Rikku voronwe yipped happily at the sight of the aeon after blinking in surprise then trotted forward to be introduced. "It's voronwe me!" Rikku Audio giggled, finding the notion much fun. Even better than Mirage having a scarf & similar likes & personality. There were not as many of her as Relms, but even having one more was much fun! Trelweny grinned, covering her mouth with her hand. "When you're ready, Valefor. I've only seen images, and if you want your backdoor... well it's best you envision it." There was a scoff from a black skinned elf in the hall doorframe, her mint-green eyes boring into the human female as if to say 'if you were all you should be pulling that from her mind would be child's play.' Trelweny paled a little, not needing Talent to read the GaiaCom, and started to fiddle nervously with the end of the braided 'tail. The last two times she had 'let lose'.... her gaze flicked to the portrait over the fireplace, eyes becoming misty. Well, the last time had not been all bad. And helping the fullmetal certainly would have been easier had she been more controlled. She sighed heavily, not seeing the look Aiden flashed Myranda around her ducked head.

Valefor blinked in surprise at the new Rikku... well... she knew there were multiples of some beings but seeing two Rikkus... she could only imagine the havoc that could be wrought by them. Fun havoc, but havoc none the less. Still, she chuckled and returned Aear's nuzzle briefly.
She glanced over to Trel at the sound made by the GaiaCom, and even she couldn't help a glare sent in Myr's direction. She freed herself of the Rikkus and Aear and trotted determinedly toward the door. Trel could use a break too, and she seemed excited about having a whole, real Zanarkand to see.
Visions sprang up, the skyline from one of the high buildings by night or by day, the port and the ocean breezes on a good sailing day, the great walkway up to the blitzball stadium, the relative quiet of the suburban areas on the edge of the big city, the sight of all the skyscrapers from her backyard, every building and street and scrap of land or sea she could remember. It seems she felt something else at play as well, but she thought it was just the door starting to work. When she had everything in her mind as well as she could put it together she concentrated on the sight of everything when she exited her back door into the yard, still with the swingset she had when she was a child, and the bikes tucked securely in one corner. The lawn, the orange tree, even the sprinkler system... and then she opened the door.
Anyone who'd seen even images of the down-town area of Zanarkand could recognize the buildings in the distance. They were no more than a couple of miles away, and still seemed very large, but there was obvious distance there. Valefor made a small sound of glee that was almost a sigh of relief and almost a laugh and practically bolted through the door to prance around the trunk of the orange tree. "It worked! It works! I'm home!"

Rikku Audio gave a happy squeak, hugging her other as the voronwe barked happily for the aeon. Both remembered how hard it had been for Yunie to fight the aeons as Yu Yevon possessed them & also a little of how said aeons had wanted to go home. Trel feeling Valefor's joy brightened, her own spirits lifting to gaze out towards the buildings of downtown Zanarkand. She was not one for cities usually, but this one always softly called to her.
Aear, watching Valefor happy as a kit smiled and padded softly after her. "And here I'd thought ye couldn't grow any lovelier, Valefor-luv. Seems I was wrong."
