History
When Chiharu was a mere infant, she lost her mother to Kawasaki disease, and developed Churg-Strauss syndrome, and severe asthma. Her father did his best to raise her well, and gave all the love he could to his only child. She only had her cousin, grandparents, and father to look foward to. She suffered with CSS, and fought with her breathing, and at worst organ problems. At times it seemed just painful to run and play like most children her age. The Nara stayed indoors for years and refused to attend the Academy. Living with her illness, she turned cold, pessimistic, and stoic. Bitter, she isolated herself from the world, until her grandfather introduced her to a certain Uzumaki.
And with that she would dedicate her life to medicine, family, and her village. Although she never trained formally at the Academy, but with her grandparents being being two of Konoha's best nin, she found something better. She trained with some of the most legendary shinobi from the Leaf, and learned a massive variety of jutsu and techiniques. Within her childhood, she was up to par with S-ranks. The Hokage's Tower and the hospital became her second homes. It seemed that her life had made a great turn for the better.
But then war struck, taking away some of the most precious people in her life. And her father. After the late great Uzumaki Naruto's death, the elder council voted for her to succeed him. To this day, she watches over Konoha at the Hokage tower.

Personality/Mannerisms/Naoki
Chiharu always has a calm persona floating about her. Under the most hectic situations, she manages to stay in control of herself. Even when dealing with Uchiha Hanto. It even manages scare some. Unfortunately because of this she has been underestimated many a time. When certain buttons are pushed, she can be extremely cold. She is an expert in medicine, not only in physics, but also in psychology. If poked at too long, she will break down a person's mind, reveal their insecurities and flaws, and proceed to psychologically torture them. Most of the time she's very relaxed, and goofy. Due to her bipolar disorder, she can become tempermental, and manic. She has learned to control this, and lived with it, along with her CSS.
Her personality doesn't take after either of her grandparents, but like her grandfather, she enjoys shogi, go, cloud watching, and star gazing. Unlike Shikamaru, she isn't lazy, and takes many things seriously. She's taken up ikebana [Flower arranging] from Ino, and has a huge garden at the Nara manor. Enjoys listening to the koto. Ironicly, she smokes occasionally.
When an experimental mind jutsu went wrong, Chiharu meditated to control the new sub-concious chakra that had manifested itself within her mind. After she gained control of this chakra, she dubbed it 'Naoki'. Unlike Inner Sakura, Naoki is a real state of being, and has his own personality and thoughts. She often converses with him, and has come to cherish him. In rare cases in battle, Chiharu transfers his chakra into a bunshin for support.

Appearance/Battle Attire/Naoki
Chiharu has brown eyes, leaning a little bit towards the red side, and with hair in a choppy cut. Outside of battle the Nara is always seen wearing kimono. No doubt a habit deprived from her grandmother. These kimono are custom made for the Hokage, light, but durable, in the case of a battle situtation. Hidden pockets store weapons and scrolls. She also carries a wooden pipe and some sweet tobacco in a black bag, with her dorje.

Her battle attire consist of a white chinese top with one sleeve, and grey shorts with a black skirt covering. The sleeve hides a small summoning kanji. Cloth bindings are located under shirt. Although with this outfit she only carries one shuriken holister, Hideki has hidden needles all throughout her person.

Although Naoki is never really seen, only within Hideki's mind, he does have a bodily form. He has white hair, with blue eyes, and has the body of a healthy twenty-five year old. His chakra is special and only reacts to Chiharu's own chakra, meaning he can only be controlled by her and no one else.

Weapons
Being a medic nin, Chiharu has favorited senbon and wires, instead of the usual shuriken and kunai. She has two types of senbon. Her light senbon, which she uses more for quick kills. Her regular senbon are as durable as any kunai. She injects poisons she has made herself into these. All her needles are customly made for her at Iwagakure. Her wires are also made there. They can cut through metal, and are vey durable.
Beside those two, she can summon various weapons and her summoning animals from the tattoo on her arm. In most cases, it is a tanto which she's had customly made for her. It is one foot long and is made out of special obsidian only found deep within the Iwagakure mines. It allows her to channel her chakra and even Noaki's into the tanto, for stronger attacks, and even her mind transfer jutsu. In other cases, she summons a wrist blade that extends three feet from her arm.
Other than that, she summons a myriad of weapons she uses in her taijutsu.

Philosophy: Seishin Teki Kyoko
Chiharu lives and fights by the ways of Seishin Teki Kyoko. It was once used as a spiritual refinement techinique for ninjutsu, but now only few use it's codes.
In life and battle, one must be prepared before it can receive what it must do. Derived from Shinto and Zen buddhism, the active mind must be clearly on task to make any technique work. For ninjutsu is about a thinking, adaptive mind that is responsive to this situation, yet passive like a river on its banks.
A common symbol in Seishin Teki Kyoko is a the dorje, a double mini spear meditation tool that helps the shinobi attain a form of enlightenment by following a series of mantras. Chiharu carries a small one with her at all times. Another option are preset meditative positions with the Tendai* or Lotus Sutra** from Buddhism. Shinto allowed the ninja to develop the meditations into Kuji-in*** and Kuji-kiri****, as a means to channel QI ( chi ) energy toward allowing the mind to accept the pain of training, and understanding the elements. The meditations allows the ninja to release the material world, to form in the mind the mindset necessary to study the elements, and to allow QI and the Chakra to flow freely. Explaining why Chiharu meditates so often.
Some ninja [Chiharu being one.] who practice this art believe the impurity of the soul is the same as impurity in steel, the soul like steel will break under pressure if the soul is not pure and mixed correctly, for the connection between mind and body is only available if the soul is there. Once the soul takes flight from the body, the connection between mind and body is forever lost, only something like a silver string combines these things with the soul. Silver can corrode and tarnish turning weak if silver is not polished regularly.
To blend with the world, you must understand your place in the world, and how you fit into the way of things. If your soul is not pure, you will see things incorrectly, and then your decisions will reflect your corruption. The desire, intent, and focus must be straight. It is once held, awaken the mind, release the spirit, and steady the body, and understanding will follow.
One Koan***** that could fit this is you cannot handle another cup of tea if your cup is full. Nobody can use the bathroom for you; you must relieve your suffering in your own way. If you are done relieving your suffering, then your mind will be a polished mind, like a mirror, it will reflect clearly on the moment, undistracted by your needs.
* A Japanese school of Mahayana Buddhism.
** One of the most popular and influential Mahāyāna sutras in East Asia and the basis on which the Nichiren sects of Buddhism were established.
*** The hand postures (mudra) and their related incantations (mantra). [i.e. Handseals.]

Original Jutsu
+ Kage Shintenshin no Jutsu [Shadow Mind Exchange Techinique]
- Developed by Nara Chiharu. First using Kage Mane, Chiharu will immobilize her opponent. Forming the dragon seal, she will transfer Naoki's chakra into said opponent. From there, Noaki will destroy the enemy from the inside, gain information, or to control the subject.
+ Mi Shinu no Jutsu [Bodily Death Techinique]
- Also created by Chiharu. The liteteral name says it all. Using special chakra, Chiharu will break down the cells of anything she touches with this chakra, thus "killing" it. With this, she can turn objects such as trees, to human bone into ash in a matter of seconds.
+ Gogyou Ame no Jutsu [Rain of the Five Elements]
- After summoning four Rashoumon gates in a square formation, barricading her opponent, Chiharu will preform an earth, wind, fire, water, then lightening jutsu in that respective order, down into the makeshift cage to her opponent.
+ Kage Terepoto no Jutsu [Shadow Teleportation]
- Extending her shadow using Kage Nui, Chiharu envelops herself in said shadow. This jutsu allows her to move freely through shadows unseen, making the impression of a sort of teleportation jutsu.
