I am a FF fan. And the funny part is, I dont really know why. I love Squall to death, and I can't place just why I love him. So i got to thinking: Why do we love and adore FF?

I am an FF fan because it is like watching a book unfold. The story sucks you in *most of the time* and ...how do I put this... for me the characters sometimes become something more then something of the screen it almost becomes like a mental extension. It allows my mind to escape and do what is not possible.
After reading that, the simplistic answer is that it is like a drug. Addictive as all get out xp . I felt like bein verbose. haha. That is the reason though why I am a FF addict.

Because it's so involved. There's so much story and depth to it.

Hmm.. I know I am addicted.. maybe just because of the depth of the stories and how well though out the characters were/are? It's always easy to get lost/sucked up in a good story. I'm guessing that's the best explanation I got. ^.^ *Stares at materia some more* "Shiiny....."

I have been playing the Final Fantasy games since the very beginning. I have always loved them for the story lines they are always in depth and it is like watching a movie that you take part of. In addition with all the characters (with the exception of the first game) have depth to themselves and you either hate or love them.
In the later generations PS1 and above the cinematics are among the most beautiful I have seen. There is so much to love about them.

I love Final Fantasy because of the wealth of Story, great graphics and the pure fantasy aspect that goes into it all. The stories make you think about them not only till you finish the games, but till years later, when you look back at it. Along with the stories they throw you into worlds that may seem commonplace to the characters you are playing as, but to us the worlds may seem very strange and out of the ordinary, and often times the world itself is a character. Like Final Fantasy VII. The characters are always memorable ones and they usually have great backgrounds to go along with it.

Why? Well... for me it's definitely the characters and storyline more than anything. Sure, a nice battle system and graphics are much appreciated--- but it could have the crappiest graphics and still hit home with me if I love all of the characters and the plot is perfect. <33 But eh, that's why I love FF. It usually has amazing characters and storylines to follow. . . while having decent graphics. :3

Plot and character development! It's so well put together and always enjoying to play. heart Eveeyrhting else only contributes and makes it even better of a series.

Heh...It's the fantasy aspect of it all, the thought placed into every tiny detail.. the character and the storylines. And I like the battle system. The graphics are an amazing bonus.
Kingdom Hearts annoys me.
But seriously...I don't know why..but those moogles and chocobos are really cute.. whee

one of the first games i ever played and i found it fun even if at the time i had to get my bro's to do the bosses lol.

Well to me, it's mostly the story and characters, also the whole idea of being able to unleash any kind of power at the world (well mostly evil), is just awosome!
Also I have this thought, every videogame is a door, a door to a whole different world, and I want to explore every corner of that world! Is that too weird?...I hope not...
