[A Wish Upon A Lapras]

Alexandria was six years old that day. A happy child she was always seen smiling and at the department stores was well behaved though she obviously wanted everything in sight; just as a normal small child would.

She was still young and shy away from her mother. On those excusions out she would cling behind her mothers skirt and peer around as if checking that nothing could sneak out to give her a fright. After lengthy inspection only then would Alexi let go and walk alongside. It wasn't that she was a needy child, she just didn't like being in strange places. She had watched TV. Bad things happened to little girls that wandered off and didn't mind their mothers.

That particular trip, on her 6th birthday, her mother was buying something. Actually her mother had received word that her aunt couldn't make it to visit her niece and had instead sent money and instructions of what item to buy for her. Alexi's mother had taken her along to the store and was watching carefully to make sure she didn't suspect a thing.

That particular gift, the one that her aunt had wanted her to have was a lovely stone with a Lapras' picture in it. Said to bring luck it was mounted into a pendant and Alexi wore it around her neck rarely taking it off ever since she got it.

Many years later Alexandria was 14 and she had a trusty Shellos as her pokemon. She and Shellos worked great together, but still, Alexi secretly desired to capture a Lapras just like the one pictured on her pendant. Her Shellos agreed. Alexi wouldn't rest until she got that pokemon, and did everything in his power to help her find one. He scouted the waters and later would guide her to likely areas for a Lapras. Though they had done this for years no luck yet.

But one day, Shellos knew he had a good lead and he prepared to take his friend Alexi on a trip that would change her life. Forever.
