Battle and Miscellania
Combat Ah, sweet, sweet combat. Who doesn't love a good brawl? Pacisfists. Allow me to rephrase that: Who are the pacifists? You're first. twisted Just kidding. We love ya. But battle is a major part of Kingdom Hearts - after all, the fabled Keyblade is a weapon and its wielder is most notably a crusader. There are many enemies to be fought, but battle is often performed poorly in RPGs of this sort so rules are in order. Don't worry, they're fairly simple and definitely not restricting.
> Imagination Movement is key, here. If you want a character to act, just describe what they're doing. You can attack and defend in any way imaginable, so be creative. If you just can't think of a good enough reason for your character to evade or dodge then they will take the hit. Thinking outside the box in these situations can save your character a lot of injuries, but avoid abuse or you will be considered a godmoder (which is bad and illegal).
> Damage Should a character be struck they take damage (lose health) equal to the attacker's Strength, but damage can be decreased by Defense. The defender's Def must already be higher than the attacker's Str if they hope to prevent any damage. If it is higher, the difference is subtracted from the total damage. > > example: Bob's Str is 20 and Larry's Def is 30. Bob punches Larry. 30 - 20 = 10, and 20 - 10 = 10, so Larry loses 10 HP.
> Critical Damage There are possible critical attacks. Should a character recieve ridiculously severe wounds such as dismemberment or being impaled, the character immediately loses half of their max HP.
> Incapacitation and... *gulp* Death It is possible for characters to die in this RP, but we do not want to force it on any player-characters. One of your characters will die only if you wish it, but avoiding critical conditions is more difficult. When a character's HP reaches 0, they become incapacitated (i.e. KO'd, paralyzed, exhausted) which can be relieved with rest, magic, or items; taking significant damage after this point can result in far worse and would put any character out of commission for some time.
> Dice {still working} To keep things from being predictable, a player rolls two dice for each post in battle. One adds to your character's Strength for that turn and the other adds to their Defense.
> Weapons, Armor, Etc. Weapons and armor increase your characters' stats, and some may have special abilities attached. These attributes vary with each weapon. Just about anything can be a weapon - swords, spears, boomerangs, slingshots, clubs, magic tomes, the list goes on. > > Keyblades These are very special weapons with very special abilities, so not just anyone can have them. If you want one, you must request one from the mod crew; they will decide if your character is ready for one, in which case the character must still earn it. Keyblades can be earned by taking on a challenge in a dream-like setting (the place Sora from Roxas's dreams). Do not expect many exceptions to this rule.

What do you mean? Like in game characters? Jane from Tarzan. Flounder from Atlantica. Geppetto and Pinochio from Monstro.

Here we have the current setup for how we can duke it out in-game.
I had an idea for a kind of key we can copy into posts during battle, so we can keep track of everyone's Def, Str, HP, and MP. What do you think of that?
