Would you reccomend a Wii? Do you have any stories or advice? I don't know if I want one or not and also: Can you do gaia fishing on Wii?

I would definitely recommend a Wii. It has tons of stuff like checking the news and weather and there's this poll thing. It's pretty cool. There are also tons of great games out/coming out for it. I'm not sure if you can fish though.....I've never tried sweatdrop

I would recommend it. Its really fun. You can download games if you can't afford the Wii games. I hear they are really expensive. sweatdrop I'm not sure if you can fish. I heard you can surf the internet though so you probably could.

Wii is probably my favorite new console so far. Warrioware did just about everything you could do with the wiimote alone..plus it encourages people to move around and actually burn a couple more calories while gaming. wink Very innovative and lots of fun for everyone... just keep it strapped in or you could lose a tv. XD But yes... I would recommend it.

Reccomend it? I am all for it! Especialy for parties! those things are the best! Not to mention it has some of the best games I have seen in a long time, with the benifit of exersize along with it!

Think you will find one? Not a chance in hell.... I work at a game store and we get shipments rarely and with few Wiis, I have people calling dayly to get one! Some don't even call! They come to the store every day hoping to find one! On top of that, anyone with a defective Wii instantly has the next shipment's Wiis on hold for them so with the few we have on top of any defectives make the Wiis even harder to get. HELL! the last time we got a shipment, all of them where gone before noon the day of.

I would say absolutely get a Wii. They are a blast to play, of course certain games depending on how into it you get will give you quite a work out but that is part of its charm. I remember when I got my Wii, with Wii Sports I played the baseball game for almost an entire day and I couldn't move my arm hardly for a week!

TOTALLY. Not only is the AWESOMELY AWESOME Super Paper Mario for the Wii, but there will be a virtual store where you can buy games and then download them! It's AWESOMENESS! biggrin

Good things about the Wii:
>Good exercise
>Miis are awesome
>Great party console
>Anyone can play it
>Addictive games out for it now
>Exclusive rights to Nintendo's 1st party IPs
>It's cheap
>Virtual console
>Pretty much all the Wii channels are cool

Bad things about the Wii
>Not the best specs of the three consoles
>Near impossible to find
>Motion sensor controls don't always translate well with third party games
>Not enough games where you can play as your Mii

The good outweighs the bad (aside from that "near impossible to find" thing. I'd get one if I could find one in stores.

The near impossible to find thing can be beaten.... At my store we seem to get roughly three Wiis in every one to two weeks, regularly. If you check in and get the time frame down, if you are at the store I would say... a half hour or so after it opens on the day they come back in stock, it's all yours! So just keep checking back untill you find the day it comes in. Wait about a week then go there as soon as it opens.

I know some people who are doing this and have my work's number on speed dial so they can check every day weather or not we got some in stock! It's kinda funny.

Okay then. You taking notes, Athena? Here's a great tutorial on how to get one!

Thanks a bunch! lol
