Guys!
I don't know how many of you frequent other places than ED (but it'd be fun to find out!) but on the 'Welcome to Gaia' forum there's and Adopt a n00b agency! How better to spread our message (and increase the amount of people who can type!) than to start at the beginning of their career on Gaia! Catch 'em while they're young!
I've applied personally, but it would be cool if we, as a church could apply!
Whacha think?!

OMM! I applied to that agency when I was but a n00b! I remember who adopted me! She was nice, and answered some of my questions about Gaia when I first joined. I think I'll PM her......

A mission house in the Welcome to Gaia forum has been an idea that's been tossed around for quite some time now, but has never been realized. I suggested it once in the past and I'm still for the idea now. 3nodding

Well, we make a thread and use.... mule babies? to keep it alive while we are posting our normal stuff in the ED/etc. The ones that want to stay with us get linked here in a PM, and the others.... go to the chatterbox. sweatdrop

MMM, Songlian was the person who ran the missions, but real life has stolen her away. What we really need is a Wanderer to venture out there are start this up. Watchers can be the ones who decide who gets a PM. I'm sure the rest will wander off on their own..... hmmmmmm..... ninja of course if you don't know what I'm talking about you don't need to ninja *giggles*

I believe the creation of new "hangout topics" in the Welcome To Gaia forum is prohibited (I recall speaking to a regular from there back in the day), but we could easily construct a cut-'n'-paste Gaia primer with links to both the Church and DYB, as well as general rules, guidelines and suggestions for those new to our beautiful Gaia. 3nodding

Would it need to be a hangout place though? couldn't we set up the noobs who are interested in joining ED with one of us to show them around? It wouldn't be a hangout, it'd be...I don't know, a mission or something...

I adopted a n00b once, but I didn't take care of it and it died.
I heard a rumor once that lots of people adopt n00bs, but when they get to be too much trouble, they flush them down the toilet.
That's why the Chatterbox is so full of n00bs. A lot of them have lived down there for so long, they actually thrive there.
That's what I heard anyway.
