[wolves involved: Hera, Yasuo, Orphen, Ola]
Running. That was exactly what one lone wolf was doing. Why was she running and what was she running from? She herself had no idea the answers to those questions. All she knew was that she was running from or towards something. Was it Fate? Or was it the forest she had seen many times in her dreams with a name being called out to her. Ariadne Firestorm, what does that mean? she thought to herself. She didn’t have time to ponder more on the subject as she felt her body being pushed down to the ground by an unknown force. She stayed perfectly still as she felt something breathing on her neck, her body pinned down by the weight of another wolf.
Who are you and why have you come here? the unknown wolf growled at her. First off, let me up. You are on my blind side, she growled back, not happy that the other wolf had pinned her with her good eye facing the ground. No, I won’t. The other wolf sniffed Hera carefully and his growls deepened. You smell of that b***h that killed my littermates. Hera flicked her lone ear slightly as she tried to look up at the other wolf. It is true. My mother was such a b***h to everyone, including her estranged mate. I take it you are that omega’s lone surviver?
Yasuo dug his claws into Hera’s skin, causing her to yelp. Why are you here? To torture me? Hera laughed coldly as she curled her hindpaws. No, of course not. I would never want to torture you. Besides, it was father who did that. Look at what he did to me, she said, indicating her half-ear and her blind eye. He even gave me the scars across my eye and on my shoulder as a parting gift. We are both outcasts of that dreaded b*****d we call our father. If we work together, though, we can over-throw him and take back what’s ours. Yasuo shook his head. I can’t. I already have a new home to look after. Hera flicked her ear again as she smiled slightly. So, you’re the Aiden Furyheart that’s been haunting my dreams since last full moon, she purred huskily. Aiden who? Yasuo asked curiously, wondering what that name meant. Isn’t that your secret name? Yasuo narrowed his eyes slightly. How did she know his secret name? Maybe it was Fate that brought these two wolves together.

Okay, so she had finally found the words to tell him. She would keep it simple and sweet. She'd saunter up to him, flirt a little and then slip it into conversation. Then to make sure he'd heard she'd give him a little kiss on the nose and watch his eyes for a reaction. Deep down she knew Yasuo would say it back, there was a connection between them and there had been from the very first moment they met.
She had spent a good while grooming her fur and now it looked spotless as she trotted through the trees. Oh Yasuo. She breathed to herself with a giggle. What a coincidence bumping into you today~ She hadn't practised her flirting technique for a while now, being too busy with her alpha duties.
How about you and me go-- She was cut off by the sound of voices. Angry voices? She bristled and lowered herself, wondering who on earth could be here. She strained her ears and picked out the tone of a female. Then another wolf spoke, a wolf whose voice she knew very well.
Yasuo.
She growled, bristling and snarling as she pushed her way through the undergrowth, coming out into a little clearing that sparkled sunlight on the fur of her beautiful mate. What should she do? Call his name? Oh she wanted to but she didn't want to district him. No, she couldn't do that. Instead she moved with the wind and let it carry her scent to them.
Now he would know.
She drew close enough to hear the stranger's last words and snarled. Aiden Furyheart? How did this wolf know of Yasuo's secret name? She growled long and loud to announce her presence if her scent had not.
A trespasser? She growled in question.

Yasuo caught the voice of his beloved mate. He didn't expect her to show up this soon. He had wanted to scare Hera away before Orphen knew that she was there. Guess it was too late now. He caught her scent moving towards them and he slowly back away from his half-sister. I don’t like the way she came sauntering up here, he thought to himself, wanting her gone. Hera took this opportunity to stand up and face her half-brother and the new femme that had approached them.
I see my brother has found a playmate, she purred, talking about Orphen. Yasuo’s hackles raised slightly at Hera’s words. No, a spy for my father. No doubt she is here trying to make me go back there, he said, his voice holding anger. Hera pinned her lone ear back and her good eye flashed slightly. Didn’t I tell you that it was father who did this to me? she asked bluntly, not really sure if her brother trusted or believed her. Father’s done a lot of things. That b***h was always his favorite. I bet you were his favorite, too, like that b*****d of a son, he spat bitterly at her. My mother only crawled back to him to seduce him. She wanted to have pups of her own, yet he didn’t dare breed with her until after she managed to seduce him. That son of his was from another female. My mother only raised him because she had lost a litter from a low ranking male.
That shocked Yasuo. He hadn’t expected that answer from his half-sister. So, that was the reason why her mother was so bitter before she got exiled. Ok, enough chatter about the past. How do you know my secret name? Hera hesitated slightly, but it seemed to long for Yasuo because he gave her a warning growl, which made her jump slightly. Because, I’ve been having these dreams. Voices in my head, even during the daytime, have been telling me that Aiden Furyheart will guide me to paradise. Then I keep hearing this name being repeated to me-Ariadne Firestorm. I don’t know what that means, but I’ve been trying to figure it out. Yasuo turned his attention to his mate, his expression on his face indicating that he needed her help, and probably Ola’s.

She remembered Yasuo's tale of his home pack and his family. She remembered that he had ahted them and that the past haunted him frequently. He never mentioned anything about a sister though and just staring at the tatty wolfess made Orphen wary and distrusting. She snarled and stooped her head, slinking sideways to cut off any exit she might have if she fled.
Don't trust her Yasuo. She spat. This land was holy land. If she was to do her duty as alpha she had to protect it. Damn. They needed betas more than anything. Betas were the protectors and the strong. But they were alone for now, until the tournaments began and the beta pair rose up as victors from its jaws.
Orphen seemed to realise that they might need more help and with a loud snort she rose her head and howled. She would call to Ola. That old wolf was wise and knowledgable. She would know what to do with this stranger.
She's poison. She ended finally. She couldn't help but feel jealous when Yasuo was around other females. Even if this one was his sister she was still a girl and Orphen was nearing her time. She could feel the symptoms swirling deep within. Soon she'd be on heat and it would be up to Yasuo to strengthen his claim on her. But Orphen could not let it happen until she had declared her love for him. He had to know that first.

Yasuo silently agreed with Orphen, yet at the same time he had wanted to believe his sister. All of his life he had wanted a sibling that hated his father as much as he had and here was one standing next to him. Bristling his fur, though, he slowly walked over to Orphen's side and he bumped his head against her shoulders gently. "she knows my secret name. That must mean something important. Besides, Ola can probably tell if she is good or bad, right?" he asked her curiously.
He didn't know if Ola's powers went that far, yet at the same time he was curious of the old wolf's thoughts about his half-sister. "She may be a good addition to the pack. But until Ola says that she is alright, let's keep an eye on her, alright?" He flicked his tail in the direction of Hera, who was staring at them. "Seems my brother has taken a liking to a female. Wish I could find myself a mate, though no male will ever want to date a femme as hidious as I am," she commented rather loudly, despite no one else being around.
"So, have you two done with your whispering?" She sat down on her rump as she hunched her shoulders slightly to show respect to the two alphas of the land she had wandered into. "Maybe we are and maybe we aren't," he said dryly, wondering if Ola had sensed Hera's presense.

I still don't trust her. Even if Ola says she is harmless. Look at her Yasuo. She's trouble. Orphen should have been able to understand what it was like to have a parent turn on you. Her own mother had done it to her as a tiny pup and marred her beautiful face. However, she was a stubborn sort and the female didn't smell right. She was concerned.
Maybe we should chase her off now before it's too late. She curled up her lips and stepped forwards.
Be quiet. We are alphas here, not you. Show some respect or I'll tear out your other eye. So it seemed that maybe she had inherited some of her mother's temper after all. But this was her land and she'd be damned if she let some fool of a female try and take it from her.
What brings you such anger, Orphen? It was Ola who spoke, appearing as silently from the trees as if she were not physically there. Her strange, colourless eyes slipped over the forms of her alphas, who currently blocked Hera from her view. She could smell the other wolfess though and could understand why her alphas were here.
They were protecting the lands.
This brought up another fact, however, betas needed to be found. Perhaps the time for the tournament frew nearer. Yes. She had the feeling that it would be necessary soon. Very soon.
She flexed the fur along her grizzled neck anbd stepped up to stabd alongside Orphen. The young femme relaxed almost instantly, feeling safer now that the old wolfess was here.
So... Ola narrowed her eyes. What do we have here? Another lone wolfcome to seek sanctuary here with us? They seemed to be coming faster now, like an unstoppable flood. When would it end?

[sorry about the lateness and shortness of this post]
Hera narrowed her eyes at the femme's harsh words. It was obvious that Orphen was trying to guess her nature by the look of her coat. Yasuo, on the other hand, remained quiet as he studied his half-sister carefully. She did look like trouble, but she was the only family who had endured the kind of hardship that he had most of his life. Flicking an ear, he turned his head to face Ola as she walked towards them. Hera jumped slightly, not seeing the old wolf until just then.
The femme narrowed her eyes at Ola, wondering how and when she had arrived. It seemed that this wolf knew more to these lands than her half-brother. "It's my sister, Ola," he said to her after noticing that the old wolf had noticed Hera. "Indeed she comes here seeking shelter from my father and her mother." He flicked his ear again, wondering if Ola could make the connection that they were from different mothers. He chuckled to himself, knowing that Ola would have made such a connection. "And why shouldn't I, dear brother? I just want to get to know you and your lovely mate," she said, gazing in the direction of Orphen. She wanted to get on the good side of the other wolves in the pack.

(( that's okay luff <3 ))
Orphen did not let her guard up, even when Ola approached. She felt a strange shivering tension in her legs that held her like springs. She wanted to pounce and protect what was hers, it was in her blood and in her soul. Before now, outsiders had met with Ola first, but this was different. Sister or not, Orphen didn't like her.
Whether Orphen liked it or not, there was a part of her that took after her mother. Her quick temper.
Ola moved up alongside Orphen then, brushing her fur up alongside her body to offer some comfort and support. It as female intuition perhaps, but she too could sense that Orphen was close to her time. There was a glow about her appearance that hadn't been there before.
Your sister, you say? She canted her head very slightly. Well you smell similar enough for me to believe it, though different too. However, differences matter not in these circumstances. She continued speaking, directing her words to Hera now. I am Ola. I am the advisor of this pack, if you will, though my true rank willnot be revealed to an outsier. Tell me child. Why do you wish to seek sanctuary here with my kin and the brother you hardly know? What brings you here now?
Ultimately it would be for the alphas to decide. Ola was just an advisor now, after all.

Hera pricked her one ear forward, listening to the old wolf's words. It was true that she hardly knew her half-brother and that he wasn't very pleased to see her, though she knew that it must be her destiny to follow him in his pack and learn him better than she did at the current moment. Hearing Ola ask why she seeked sanctuary with them, she leaned back slightly, her tail thumping on the ground. She hesitated in telling them her dream. Should she? She canted her head to one side and gazed at Yasuo with a curious gaze on her face. "Tell her," he said to her in a stern tone of voice. "If you want to join our pack, you need to learn to obey mine and my mate's commands without a moment's hesitation."
Hera winced slightly at his words. The many years of bitterness towards her mother and their father were bottled up in the tone of his voice. Was she really certain that this is the wolf she was to seek. Nodding her head, she took a deep breath before telling her tale of the dream she had been having for the past fortnight.
"A dream has been calling to me. It's been telling me to find the one called Aiden Furyheart for he will show me the way towards my fate. Then it said something about an Ariadne Firestorm that will become my life and my light. I don't know what that meant, but then my dream showed me this place with my brother's form. He kept calling me Ariadne Firestorm and was commanding me to follow him or else I will be condemed to a life of damnation." She let her voice fade away as she looked down at the ground. "And then the dream went black after that. I'm sorry I was of no help," she said in a soft voice. Yasuo gazed over at Orphen, wondering what her thoughts of his half-sister's dream was.

Orphen growled between her teeth. Her hackles were up and it was clear she was not happy about this situation one little bit. She turned her head to peer at Ola but the old wolf portrayed nothing in her stony features. So she returned her gaze to Yasuo and found herself drowning in his eyes. When he was strong and courageous like this she felt her heart do little flips in her chest.
She twitched an ear towards Hera as she spoke but lost interest almost immediately. Dreams? Dreams!? They would allow her into the pack because of something like that? She snarled and raised her head and tail high.
I will not stay here any longer. She snapped. You deal with her. I am off to patrol the lands. She narrowed her eyes and gace Hera a glare that held in it a silent threat. Then she turned and stalked off through the trees.
Ola watched the alpha go with a small huff. The female seemed easy to temper but she supposed it was only natural. Besides, there would be time to talk to her later.
This dream is an interesting one, lone wolf. Ola replied. She too portrayed an untrustworthy tone to her voice. Though she had to admit that the wolfess was already showing signs of promise.
It is in fact most useful and very clear to those who can understand such things. You, my dear, have been reborn, in a way. She curled up her lips as if humoured. Ariadne Firestorm is who you have become, or will become if given a chance. It is your holy name, your secret name and must be guarded well. Keep it clsoe to your heart.
Then she turned to Yasuo. What do you think Yasuo? I say that she has been drawn here by fate but it is up to you whether you wish to hand it to her.

Hera winced at Orphen's words and she gazed at her brother to see what he had to say. "Don't worry. She is just jealous of you," came the response from the Alpha, as if he was answering his sister's unasked question. She nodded her head, but she still felt guilty for having run off Yasuo's mate. She shuddered slightly at that thought. At least you have a chance now of finding yourself one instead of being the seductress that you were when you were younger, she thought to herself bitterly. Shaking her head, she half-listened to Ola's first comment.
It was then that she realized that the old wolf was talking to her and she turned her attention from the area that Orphen departed from towards Ola, her lone ear pricked up. "Reborn?" she asked curiously. Normally she would give a hollow laugh at a comment like that, but this old wolf seemed to have peaked her interested. "Secret name? What is this all about?" She was obviously confused and she turned her gaze towards her brother, who merely ignored her as Ola asked him what he thought.
Yasuo glanced at Hera for a second before turning his gaze skyward. "Cerridwen probably has a reason why she summoned her to join this pack. If it is the will of Cerridwen for her to join, then I shall allow her to. However," he let his voice fade away as he looked at his sister with a stern look on his face. "If I find out that you have done something seriously wrong or miss any of our sacred ceremonies, it shall be taken out on your hide." Hera, now shaking slightly, nodded her head. Watching her brother leave, she realized that he was nothing like their father. In fact, he was scarier than their father and her mother combined.

And I will keep an eye on her, my Ira, two when I can spare the time. Ola regarded the female and a little of her distrust faded. This one was different from the others who had joined before her. Maybe because she had a fighting spirit that the others didn't have.
Maybe she'd make a good beta. Hmm who knows.
She flicked her ragged tail and followed slowly after Yasuo. Another joins our ranks, Yasuo. Already you are bringing strength and numbers with your presence.

Yasuo bobbed his head in acknowledgement to Ola's statement. He wished that he hadn't allowed Hera to join, but her dream seemed familiar to him. It was like he had the same dream, too, but he didn't know how or why he knew that. Hearing pawsteps behind him, he didn't dare gazing back as he caught Ola's scent before hearing her statement. "Indeed," he said shortly, thoughts wandering in his mind. Was this a good thing or a bad thing? He had no idea. What he did know was that he was going to have to make it up to Orphen later that day, perhaps longer than that.
