Not exactly sick but I have called in plenty of time because of the snow, or being trapped on a bus. All true.

i've called in sick to go to a concert... i've also called in sick because it was so damn hot.that time i told them i was suffering from heat exhaustion. funny thing is, two hours later, i came down with heat stroke.

When I used to work in retail jobs like at Blockbuster (*shudder* how I loathed that place), I would do it now and then completely guilt-free if it meant I wouldn't have to try to upsell the Rewards card for the five-millionth time to a regular who clearly wasn't interested. But now that I'm working where I really want to be, I wouldn't. I'd just feel bad that I was screwing the others over. ninja
