Name:Wing Commander Space

Codename: Space

Rank: Civilian

Position: Anthropologist

Current team: SG-3

What you're here to do: Meet some other Stargate fans, RP a little, y'know, all that jazz.

How or why you joined:
Starting life in a small sea town in England, Space finished her studies two years ahead of the majority of her peers, moving on, within a Fast-track course, to Cambridge University. Graduating a course in anthropology, in her late teens, she moved to the US, in the hopes of furthering her education in this area. Space was noticed and approached by a member of the air force, she'd say she has no idea about ranks in their system, and offered a new kind of job. Excited, she took the opportunity, without hesitation.

Appearance:
Dark hair and a relatively fair complexion prevent her from standing out of a crowd, that and her tendency to shop for clothing on a rather stingy budget. She is slim of build and rather short. She is rarely seen without some piece of literature or notepad under one arm, and generally stands leaning more weight onto one leg. Her shoes are all scruffy. When she thinks no one is looking, and she is a good judge of that, she will skip, rather than walk. She would say it is a happy way to move, were anyone to ask. As the latter suggests, she is a generally happy person, and will always wear a smile. It is, after all, the cheapest way to improve one's looks.

Space is in her early twenties, one would guess, though her extensive knowledge in her area of expertise can tend to create the impression of one much older than she.

Personality:
Space has a rather shy nature, and a tendency to be unassertive, even when it is necessary. Most problems can be overcome, as she is very logical, in her own ways, and will always have a reason behind any one course of action. Things can be thought through, and she will assess the situation thoroughly before making any quick decisions, as when she does, things do not usually pan out as planned; or rather as not planned.
Outwardly, Space is one of the least organised people on base, however, the havoc in her room and around her desks is, to her at least, organised. She will most often know where everything is, and quickly becomes frustrated when she cannot find something. She likes to put things in order. She is accustomed to finding common qualities, and grouping things based on them; colour, size, shape, label, anything.
Although not a personality trait as such, her intolerance to almost all medications makes her rather more careful with herself than most, and she is known to carry with her, whenever possible, a small case of antiseptics and codeine pills.
