'Kay.
So my favorite radio station EVAR has little contests throughout the day. If you are the ninth caller after they play a certain sound, you win. Then you are entered into the weekly prize drawing. They don't announce what the weekly prize is until the drawing takes place.
I've been trying to win one of the daily prizes for about two weeks. So today I turned on my radio and the DJ is all like, "Sorry, you are the fifth caller." I was all freaking out and called the station as fast as I could. Then the DJ is all like, "OMG, you won! Are you eighteen?" And I'm thinking WTF? I sound that young on the phone? So I grabbed my mom and confirmed the win.
I only won ten bucks but I'm like supery happy so STFU. biggrin DD
Then the DJ is on the radio again and saying how cute it is when kids call for their parents.

I've tried and failed. XD I don't win things very often, and when I do, it's usually nothing like I wanted/thought it would be. Like the Gaia poster at AX. I bought both of them. Then I won one....
Sad thing is, all three got crushed later. My family doesn't understand how much a poster signed by VO, L0cke, and Lanzer means to me. crying
When I say, "hello," I am mistaken for my mother. whee

But, but, how can they get a poster signed by the admins? crying It's gotten to a point where my parents don't allow me to share. They FORBBID me to share! gonk I end up letting them borrow something anyway, and it breaks.... then my parents say, "I told you so!" and once again forbbid me to share. Isn't that strange? My parents make me NOT share? xd

That sucks, STU. What a cool prize, though. Did you manage to "save" them at all?
Oh, and yes the money is mine. I've actually been doing really well with money recently for some reason... Yesterday I was asked to do database work for ten bucks an hour for this charitable organization. I know the people there fairly well, and they'll let me work when I have the time. It's my first official job ever. whee Then my dad said he'll pay me fifty bucks to make a splash page for the family's business website.
It pays to be a nerd. biggrin DD
Do any of you have jobs? When did you start working?
