I do give undo sometimes in my games, depending on my mood -_-. I am going to stop giving in, as I have gradually develop the habit of not asking for undos. People like to abuse this priviledge people give them. I hate it when people lie it's a misclick when obviously it isn't. D: Anyway, asking for undos is a bad game habit, be it real life or online playing. Taking responsibility for every move you make is what every Go players should do.

If I'm playing someone face to face, then I generally allow it, though it's usually in the form of "...you SURE you want to go there?". But then again, I don't play much anymore (not much time these days). I really only played Cipher online or against a computer, so of course no redos there (^_~), and if I play someone face to face, they generally haven't really known any more about Go then what they learned from HnG, so they are even more "beginner" than me, lol.
If I ever got a bit more serious, though, I don't think I would. Or I guess I should say, if I ever play a more serious game, I wouldn't. Mostly it's just goofing off right now.

well, so far... I was the one who would make the mistake.. and go "NOOOOOO" crying .. but, then again, I try not to ask for back moves, it is my mistake so I will need to take the consequences.. thou, the people I played against usually would offer me the chance.. ^^;;

I usually allow it on both a board and the computer, but if I'm pissed off for some reason I'll reject the undo. It's always how I feel at the time I'm playing.

Depends all on who I'm playing.. If its a raw beginner (i.e. most of the people i play) I generally give undos, but i usually ask them WHY they want to undo the move. If they make a bad move, i generally ask why they made the move, then explain why it is a bad move. Of course the people i play are eager learners, so they don't mind the help ^^.
Of course if it was a game against someone more of my own strength or stronger, no undos, as they should know better than to make any blatently obvious mistakes. And making mistakes helps one learn, because it makes you think about WHY it was a mistake...

I usually give undos if they click undo really quickly... like it's obviously just a misclick. But when they ask, for example, after I've already played my followup move, I won't. Also, if I asked for an undo because of a misclick, I will give them one automatic undo, since I think that's only fair.
If I'm playing someone in a teaching game, or helping someone learn, I will give people undos but not in a serious game except under the conditions I already said.

It depends on the move. If its an obvious miss click then I will. However, if they move and then I move a few sec later, and they ask for the undo, then no way. It isn't fair that way.

i only allow them to take back if they are weaker than me. if we are equal usually i insist on them keeping the move.

If it is an obvious mis-click then then I don't mind. I would rather play an honest game then win because of a careless mishap.
The less "Blitzy" the game is, the less chance there will be a mis-click. I mainly play longer games, and therefore, have less need to give undo's.

It depends on my opponent! On tbe internet I always give undo moves cause it can happen to mis-click, but the opponent has to ask it immediately, not after I playied back or so!
When I play live... I give them only to those of my same level or less good than me!

I never let my opponent undo a move because Go is a game of war, and in war there are undoing a move. I expect the same from my opponent.

When I'm playing online, I usually only give undo if it's obviously a missclick. If the person asks really fast, that's ok as well. But there's no way I'm going to allow it if I already played my next move....
When I used to play real live, I gave undos to weaker players (< why would a stronger player ask a beginner for an undo hehe), but only when either, they noticed right away, or when I already played and they then want to take back, they have to tell me a better point to play instead to and like, tell me why it's better hehe. And most of the time, if they want to play somewhere really bad, I'm like "you really want to play there?" (like someone already mentioned before hehe)

I tend to side towards not letting people take their moves back unless 1 of the following conditions applies. rofl
1. It is within the first ten or so moves of the game and I haven't made my response yet.
2. It was an obvious accident or misclick.
3. It is a very weak player. Sometimes if they make a bad error, I may even suggest a better move and let them make it.
4. They have allowed me an undo earlier. I figure if they let me do an undo, even for an obvious accident/misclick (really the only reason I ask), then I feel obliged to allow them an undo, even if it was a thought out move.
5. I randomly feel like it.
XD ^^
