Have you ever listened to a cast album and thought a song was perfect for a character other than the one singing it? If so, share a few. For example, "Falcon in the Dive" from The Scarlet Pimpernel makes me think of Ken from Digimon 02, when he was still the Digimon Emperor/Kaiser. Also, "How Lucky You Are" from Seussical will be forever associated with Merlock Holmes from Flint the Time Detective in my mind now.

Name of Love from The Mystery of Edwin Drood
I can see Gonzo and Piggy singing it on Muppet Babies.

I haven't really associated a song to another character, but while listening to the Hair soundtrack I thought I had the storyline down (never saw it myself) but it turns out the story I had in my head was very different from the actual play.

Sometimes I associate songs from the shows with real life people, that they could sing those songs and it would go along with their lives.
I also do what you said too.

~Meg Giry~ Nessa: Wicked Witch of the East ( I think it was a deleted song from Wicked) It's in the show, just not on the cast album.

I heard that. My friend went to see Wicked and said that she didn't remember that song so I thought they deleted it. They should have put it in the album. Does any one have a sound file of it?

Wait a second. Completely derailing this topic for a moment. Cause I've never seen Wicked, have yet to read the book and my head is all mixed up with the crazy and the stuff.
I thought since Elphaba and Nessa were sisters and since Elphie was the Wicked Witch of the West, that would make Nessa the Wicked Witch of the North (guilty by association, I assume, plus that's the....direction, I guess, she was in the movie) and therefore squashed by Dorothy upon her descent into OZ.
Maybe I'm crazy, but wasn't it Galinda that was the Witch of the East? I very well could be dead wrong, but whatever. Feel free to correct me. If I'm right then....yay! Sad found a plothole! pirate

Ok, then. Stupid as charged. xd
Back on track now, I will forever associate "The Song That Goes Like This" from Spamalot to Phantom of the Opera, specifically the movie version. Not that I don't love Miss Rossum's performance. It's just loudly sung. In Raoul's face. And I have no idea how I'm going to watch it live without bursting out into giggles.

That is also true in the movie version of Little Shop of Horrors during "Suddenly, Seymour." If you watch the end of the song (while they are singing into each other's faces), right before they kiss it looks like Ellen Green's boobs inflate. My friend spotted it first and I didn't believe her, but we watched it again (about 5 times) and it looks scary and somewhat animatronic...

Me, I'll always think of "A Really Long Note" from Forbidden Broadway, which (in my opinion) says exactly the same thing as the song, but better and shorter. (to the tune of "Wheels of a Dream") In every show There's one big ballad That makes you weep And clutch your throat We'll sing 'til the rafters ring And emote 'til we overbloat And then this song, This song will e~nd On a re~~ally long noooooooooooote!
