Alright! Yet another discussion type thread! Here is where you ask whatever about the anime/manga series and members of the guild try to answer them as best as they can! Some questions will be up to debate, so please don't be offended if someone tells you that are wrong, also, when correcting another person's comment, put in as much detail as possible, don't just tell them they are wrong! Here are some questions someone posted on one of the communities I am on: Quote: 1) How old are Watanuki & Doumeki? Because Doumeki was taller, I always assumed he was older? 2) Watanuki's wish was not to see spirits anymore. Hasn't his wish been fulfilled ? if he stays close to Doumeki he does not see any spirits. 3) Is Watanuki, Clow? 1. They are currently about 16 or 17ish (possibly 18 in the newest chapters of the manga). At the start of the series, they were both fifteen and in their first year of high school. Doumeki was born March 3 and Watanuki April 1. In Japan, the cut off date for classes is April 1 so Watanuki is the youngest in his class and that makes him younger than Doumeki. Ironically, both boys are younger than Himawari. 2. By becoming closer to Doumeki, Watanuki's wish to stop seeing bad spirits has come true. No one's officially said it in the series yet though. It's probably something Watanuki will have to realize for himself or there will be more to this in future chapters. Also, if Watanuki had never worked at the shop, he never would have grown closer to Doumeki and would still see the bad things XD And, well, CLAMP is a big proponent of the idea of "You have to figure things out yourself, you can't learn if you're hand-fed answers" 3. That hasn't been officially stated either way to my knowledge. I don't think he is. Yuuko said that Watanuki was created somewhere between this world and the spirit world in chapter one or something to that affect. Personally, I don't think he is a reincarnation of Clow, though the people who created him might have ties to Clow. Again, CLAMP hasn't officially said anything about his origin beyond what Yuuko said in the first chapter.

Other interesting ideas from that thread: Quote: about the 3° question I believe probably because is not a official thing only my solution until now: maybe Kimihiro is son of Eriol!!!!! and then we have the physical similarity. Quote: I would like to see him be Eriol's son rather than Sakura's actually X3 Either would defiantly be interesting! Quote: 3) Y'know, it amuses me that so many people are bringing up that Clow has two reincarnations in CCS when Yuuko has preached to the group in Tsubasa so many times that there are different versions of the same people in many universes. Yes, in CCS Eriol and Sakura's dad are incarnations of Clow, but that is a completely different dimension than XXXHolic. Also? In Sakura's world in Tsubasa, Clow is her and Touya's father while Sakura's dad in CCS is Syaoran's original dad. There is a very big link between Watanuki, Clow, and Syaoran. A very big one. Yuuko has practically made that common knowledge in the latest chapters of the manga. Nobody knows for sure if he is actually Clow, not yet anyways, but he's certainly linked to him in some way that will eventually play a big part in XXXHolic's plot. (We're building up to that right now) Ahh. I'm not sure if I made much sense but hopefully SOMETHING other than "Eriol and Sakura's dad are Clow so hell no Watanuki cant be him" got through to you. *Is annoyed* ^-^ Gah.. You're right, I know.. but I always thought CCS was in the same dimension.. lol

I'd like to re-open this thread, because I think this one will be fun! So ask any questions you can think of reguarding the series and I, along with other members will try our best to answer them for you.
Debates are good! If a debate starts, it will definately make this thread more interesting!

What happened to the Mushi? I thought it was going to be this huge arc but then it died. I thought it would have been uber interesting to see Doumeki be affected. He'd finally show some emotion!

He'd finally show some emotion! Mushi?? Did it use more then one name for it? Because I don't remember what you are talking about. Can you give me a chapter or volume it is from, and I will look into it.

Sliverly Oh, yeah, volume 5. The wings that attached to that girl. OH!!! Those were created by Fei Wong Reed. There was supposed to be more for it, and it was supposed to connect with Tsubasa more, but new ideas came along and I believe the idea was discarded. They may bring them back eventually, but I doubt it.

-Taps chin thoughtfully- Do you think Himawari is selfish for not wanting to give up her happiness to prevent her bad luck? What would Watanuki or Doumeki do in that situation?

Sliverly -Taps chin thoughtfully- Do you think Himawari is selfish for not wanting to give up her happiness to prevent her bad luck? What would Watanuki or Doumeki do in that situation? Watanuki and Doumeki would have prefered to see others happy, but neither of them would have wanted the other to give up happiness for that. So because others care about her, it makes them happy that she is.

I don't think it's possible for Himawari to not be happy, but she keeps herself away from people so it's hard to tell if she's doing anything for them. At the beginning of the series I think Watanuki would have given up his happiness, but now he's starting to develop some self-worth. Doumeki, I really don't know, he'd probably try to find his own way to break the curse. xp (I'm answering my own question to help spark a possible discussion...)

i've gotten really tired of everyone talking about who yuuko's parents are. to me that brings up (also) the question, is she human? i know she's a witch, but does she have a different anatomical configuration? perhaps she was created? my god, i just can't imagine yuuko as a child nor with parents.
what do yall think?

what do yall think? I think Yuuko is human. But like Fai, she has some sort ot thing to add to her life.. Longevity type thing. We know Fai is human, but he is also MUCH older then he appears.. And I beleive Yuuko is the same way. It must be the magic keeping thei young appearance.
