what exactly do you mean by that? you might have a different definition of what finished means for smash brothers.
I don't consider it finished until youve beaten every mode with every character at least once -- except event mode, obviously (difficulty level doesnt matter)

I would think it means unlocking every thing possible. If you count trophies I still haven't. (Damn you, Diskun!)

^ then no one would ever finish. there are two trophies that you have to do.. something, i cant remember. something special... like have a save file of a japanese game or something.
i guess you could use a gameshark, but thats cheating.

No one I know has gotten the last "three" trophies. But on a completly different note, my proudest moment in that game was when I whooped giga Bowsers azz using mario. Ahhh, good times.
