Tobias felt lazy, lethargic.
Staring at his own reflection in a nearby pond, he reflected upon the few encounters he had had recently. Perhaps being alone and without a pack had made him a bit loony and strange. He felt like a hermit. He didn't know anymore what he wanted to do.
He flopped to the ground, his ears tickled by the slight waves the wind drew on the water. Loneliness was sad. Loneliness was boring. He didn't like being alone anymore. He wanted to talk with somebody else. Someone to remind him that the entire population of wolves hadn't died out while he wasn't paying attention. Just... someone.

*Calico flicked his multy coloured ears forward as the wind carried a strong scent of a male wolf to him. His green eyes narrowing with curiousity while he picked his pace up to a 'trot' in attempt to find this wolf before he dissapeared if he happen to be on the move.
As he moved forward the faint sound of rushing water seemed to grow louder which soon enough drowned out all the noise from the forests creatures, permitting only the loud howling of the wind through the trees to continue in it's own tune.
Once the river came into view a lupine figure appeared aswell, his strangely coloured markings caused him to stand out among the lush green grass and the fresh shaded water.
Calico paused for a mere second before walking forth to the 'other' wolf, his movements slow and cautioned for he didn't want to have his throat torn out if this wolf happened to be a foe.
Once closer he opened his maw to speak out, his mid-toned voice now deeper than usuall due to his growth.*
Calico - "Hello there? Who might you be?"
*His tail wagged in a friendly gesture, to show he meant no threat to the other wolf, though not that it would show much, for the short length of it. It was a slight relief, knowing that there was another wolf about, these woods were just full of nothing at times, which could really bring out the irritation from boredom sometimes.*

The scent of fresh water and the cool breeze filled Ieshia's senses in an intoxicating fashion. Her blood rushed through her body as though she had just decided to use energy in her body that had long been stored away. She raced along the bank, her black ears pulled forward, her jaws parted and her tongue lollying out of her mouth. Catching sight of a brown shape in the water, her golden eyes sparkled and she splashed in with no concern for stelth.
She chased the fearful beaver through the clear river water, her intentions purely of seeking enjoyment and not a meal. The poor creature didn't know this of course, and feld downstream with the red and black female on his tail. He swam past two other wolves and noticed not that the young female had stopped chasing him. For upon seeing the two other males Ieshia had stopped her foolish splashing about and looked over at them. Her fur was heavy with water and weighed down in a rather silly way. She didn't seem embaressed, but she did wonder if she had interupted anything.

The hot sun shone above, casting it's rays among the creatures, but purely shadows among Kage. His paws picked up and fell down in a pattern, making his way through the dense tree population of this part of the woods. His nose sniffed the air, filling wonderfully with the pine scented breeze. His muzzle bounced emotionlessly through the air as he jogged, now bouncingly among the plants. His eyes waited contently for another, but they fell upon nothing interesting.
The next breath he took was different. He smelled someone, three wolves. A female's scent leaked through his thoughts, and then another males... two males. He stopped suddenly, thinking for a moment. "Maybe this is another pack's land," he wondered, hoping he hadn't been tricked into his arrival. "Well," he mumbled, as he started his gait once again, "wel shall see."
After a while, his beautiful eyes fell upon a group of his kind. His feet brought him out of the bushes and slowly into the glossy water. His fur shook slightly, the cool water flowing through his toes. He hadn't been in the water for so long... He still couldn't remember why he had been given his name, and he'd probably never find out. But now he wanted to meet more of the creatures like him. He slowed, cautiously approaching and keeping his head at a good height. He remained silent, not relaying any information among the new presences.

Tobias had hardly realized another wolf was standing over him until the wolf spoke. Startled he immediately rolled over to see a striped wolf with a very short tail above him. His maw split into a wolfy grin, and he got up on all fours, wagging his tail happily.
"I'm Tobias!" He exclaimed with enthusiasm, "And who are you?"
Suddenly, a female wolf pulled to a stop in the water, sopping wet. Tobias thought she looked curious as to the goings on. Another wolf came out of the bushes now, cautious and guarded, and yet curious at the same time. He had wanted company, and now three wolves had suddenly come to him, as if materialized out of thin air!
Tobias was struck with a thought; what if this was a pack's land? What if he was an intruder, and they've come to chase him out? Quickly, he dropped his happy aire and became serious.
"If this is you're pack's land and you want me to leave, I'll leave. I don't want to cause any trouble."

*A shocked look came over Calico's face as the beaver sped past them through the river, before a wry grin spread across his maw when he spotted the two wolves appear, one drenched with water and the other comming through the brush, his green slitted eyes fixed upon the two as Tobias replied to him, after jumping to his feet, which he noticed when he looked back towards him, causing him to gasp in suprise to see the wolf standing now, this wolf was taller and most likely an adult, which would mean he would have to show respect.
Dipping his head in a bow he only gave a slight laugh at the mention of the land they were standing within. A toothy grin spread across his maw as the laugh grew slightly, before he spoke alloud in reply to the Tobias' question.*
Calico - "The names Calico."
*Calico took notice of the look on the other wolfs face, when he noticed of the other two.. It went from a friendly look to a serious stern one.*
Calico - "The land we're currently in is not my own.. I'm a member of a pack, not an Aplha, though I'd gladly take the chance of being one any day. There dosen't seem to be any sign of a pack here, not even the slightest scent, so I'm guessing this is free lands.
You don't have to leave, for I do not wish you to leave unless you feel you want to leave, it's not my place wether or not to decides who stays or leaves."
*Casting the other two wolves a glance he motioned his paws in a gesture, that would look to as come here, before he dipped his forelegs into the river with a wag of his tail, it had been awhile since he had actually swam in a river, perhaps after he had talked to these wolves he would try it again, unless they wanted to swim themselves, for now, he would wait, it would be rude to gesture a wolf to come over and than run into the river.
It did however seemed strange that two other wolves appeared.. Maybe that was the cause of Tobias' look and reaction to thinking it was a packs land, at that thought he couldn't blame him on it, his reactions and thoughts would have been simaler.*

Ieshia had to restrain a laugh at Tobias's last question, for she wasn't even part of a pack. This land was no more her's then the sky was...but then again, he didn't really know this, did he? Listening to what the wolf with a short tail was saying-Calico it seemed- she noted he was in a pack but not on his pack lands. So this was free land...at least it appeared to be.
Giving them both a grin and a smooth flick of her tail she told them, "I'm not part of a pack...and I don't know anyone who has claimed this place yet, so I believe it's alright. I'm Ieshia, by the way." She have a dip of her maw towards all of them, even the male who had yet to speak up, her smile remaining clearly upon her face.

He looked at them all, watching their gestures and listening to their words. All he could tell was that he wasn't intruding in a pack's land, which was good because he wasn't one to go and start a fight. He noticed they had all relayed their names, so he figured he should do the same. "I am Kage, please to meet you all," he stated, not making an expression, but lowering his head to a half-bow.
After a couple of seconds that way, he returned to his normal stance, waiting all of his new aquintaces' replies and thoughts. His toes were still in the water, the coolness rejoying his tired paws. His face was still dry, as well as the top of his coat, them both seemingly sheen in the afternoon sun.

(( SORRY!!! gonk I had been cottaging an' stuff and I am very sorry that I am late!))
Tobias watched the three wolves' reactions with interest. The first two (which he had now learned were named Ieshia and Calico) seemed amused by his fear of this land belonging to somebody else. The other, Kage, looked also relieved that he wasn't intruding on anything, yet still very protected and cautious.
"I used to be in a pack..." Tobias started, suddenly feeling a terrible pang, "But... I left. I couldn't take it, really. Packs just...aren't for me."
He stooped, suddenly, to take a drink of water, and wondered just how many wolves there were in these forests.

*Calico smiled lightly as Ieshia spoke of her name, aswell as when Kage mentioned his. Well there was abviously no sign on a possible attack from any of three, which came as a big relief to him, for he'd been walking for the longest time and wanted to lay down for alittle to get off his feet, yet he couldn't have done that if these wolves happened to be foe.
Greeting the other two with a nod on his head he spoke out softly and looked to each of them with a gentle smile.*
Calico - "It's a pleasure to meet you both."
*Laying down near the river back he looked at Tobias with a tilt of his head, his fore legs crossed over the other as he pondered on what he had just said, it would seen that something had happened to Tobias in his pack, though he wasn't going to ask about it.*
Calico - "I suppose, I guess I'm more of the pack type, sort of the kind of wolf that dosen't do so well on his own.."
