Red eyes roamed a far too blue sky, rolling clouds distorting most of the sun, causing huge patches of shadows to move lazily across hills. Lazily Inari made his way further down the hill he was previously perched atop and into a small sloping ravine where one hill stopped and the other began.
He had once again found himself wondering off alone of late, getting bored of the constant routine of things back home.

Tulio had managed to get a day away from his brothers at home. Though it always felt like they celebrated when he left. He tried to shake the felling off as he walked around this new area. He sat near a tree and glanced around. "How boring!" He complained.

As his eyes wandered something caught his eye. A large white smudge not too far from him. His heart raced for a moment. "Inari?" He asked in a whisper. He slowly started to move in closer to find out.

Cyrus trekked around the hilly plains, glaring forward with his lip curled and a single sharp fang exposed. The sky was too blue, much too blue for his taste and it was irritating him just to be outside.
As he glared off into the distance, something caught his eye- some little dot on the horizon, probably nothing of interest. A meal, if he was lucky.
With a grunt he shifted his direction towards said dot, walking at a leisurely pace.

Inari’s ears perked slightly at the exclamation that carried itself across the plains, he’d recognize that voice anywhere. He couldn’t count the times he had snuck off secretly to meet with said voice’s owner. Jumping lightly to his feet Inari cast about, easily spotting the bright purple coat against green grass. Grin planted firmly across his muzzle he made his way towards Tulio, one of his few close friends.

Tulio's ears perked up. The smudge was comming twards him. He was about to find a place to hid, but he realised just how much he stood out. He let off a sigh and watched as the smudge of white became clearer. It was only a few seconds before Tulio could see that it was Inari. He stood up excitedly. "Inari!" He called out.

Cyrus continued on towards the- wut. There were two little dots on the horizon now. Cyrus was beginning to get suspicious that these dots were not meal-worthy, and there were so many Ulaya prancing about nowadays that there was hardly any peace anywhere, let alone food.

In order to investigate, he bounded forward, his powerful legs pushing him forward until he was hidden by the cover of a hill. From here, he peeked over the side, glaring at the two dots that were now big enough so that he could make out colors. White... and purple. He sniffed the air as the wind blew serenely his way and recognized one of the scents.

That grotesque grin crossed his face, fangs gleaming in the brightness of the day as his ears pointed up towards the sky.

"Oh-ho~ it seems the Prince has come out to play~"

Inari all but ran into Tulio, legs spread wide to stop his forward momentum, nipping at Tulio playfully before turning to face him. “Tulio,” A rare smile – not the usual smug grin or conceited smirk - forced its way across his face. “It’s been far too long. Have you been well?”

A slight shiver coursed over his body, fur standing ever so slightly, instincts warning him of something he couldn’t see himself. Brushing the feeling off Inari focused his attention back on Tulio.

Tulio chuckled at Inari's playfulness. It was rare to be able to see Inari smile. He was always glad to see his friend soo happy. And he was proud to be able to say he was one of the, very, few to get to see Inari smile like that.

"It has been awhile." Tulio replied. "I've been lonely, without you, as usual." He smirked.

"How have you been?" He asked. Tulio sat up straight when he noticed Inari looked uneasy. He always slouched around Inari, because he was slightly taller. He felt Inari should never fell small.

Tulio glanced around, but saw nothing. His vision was nowhere near as good as his hearing. But he nothing either. He looked back at Inari, to see that he was now looking back at him. He looked fine, now. Tulio tried to brush it off, but it wasn't settling right with him.
