[Wow. I'm impressed at your dedication (within the RP).]
She didn't really find much...
<>
<>
Well...what was there to do now? The town was basically residential...but there were a few things to get her moving along on her quest....
[ABOUT SHOPPING
You may enter a shop at any time while in a town. There are many different kinds, but this village only has a General Store and an Armory.
At the General Store, you may buy items. Simple.
The armory contains weapons and armor, but these can be expensive. Watch for bargains and/or rare items!
Simply say <> to enter, and then we can begin to purchase.
ABOUT BARS/TAVERNS
The place you're in right now is a TAVERN. Taverns and bars have many opportunities for gold, XP, and item boosting, and some can even help push the story in a new direction.
These are called "quests".
Simply say, <> to begin that prompt.
ABOUT FACTIONS
There are many "factions", or groups/unions, across the land, all with different pros, cons, enemies, allies and goals. You may join up to TWO factions, so choose wisely. Some only have their HQ's in one or two towns. You will learn more about factions when you actually begin to join some.
To enter a faction HQ, simply say <> while near one. You may ask a bartender what factions are in your current location.
You may also leave town at any time.]

((Here, right? If not, I'll delete the post and put it where it should go. Woo! Let's do this.))
He damn well couldn't decide whether his neck was assaulted by a sledgehammer or bent far beyond the reaches of his shoulders. It hurt.
Christ. Why am I hurting so much today?
In fact, Janus hadn't exactly been well for what felt like a long time, and that showed through especially when he slept. Someone could roll him into the burrito of comfort, the goddamn epitome of a good bed, and he still wouldn't have slept well. He jerked his head to the left, like a shocked man trying to catch a last glimpse of his undoing, then to the right. The audible cracks were satisfactory. For whatever reason, though, there was that nagging, unpoppable ache near the collar- not to mention that good ol' mysterious jabbing pain between the second and third rib on the right side.
Today's going to suck a**, I can tell already.
But for now, he took a good look around him. No day was devoid of its perks, no matter how ephemeral they turned out to be.

[This has to build up to you having shot Renzt. Soon. Start thinking of why's and how's. Then everything will be freedoms and puppy dogs. Hahaa]
He was asleep in a field. For the third ********' night in a row. God, stalking targets was so painstaking. If it wasn't so Goddamned fun, he'd just quit the whole sabotage biz altogether.
Anyways, he was parked right outside of some s**t town, lying amid some grass...and some rocks...aaaaand some dirt. Awesome.
His supplies were light.
Crossbow? Check. 3 Frog Darts, for good measure? Check. Knife? Check. Food? No check.
Ugh...this all sucked way too much.
The sun was happy looking enough. All bright and yellow...it must have been about 10...
His target surely hadn't woken up by now...he had to strike soon.

Janus got up and stretched. Ten? Well, damn, that just beat all. At least he'd gotten enough sleep for another strike. It felt like he'd had a party, and by God, he did. As he remembered the little romp he had, he blinked the sleep out of his eyes.
It wasn't that he had anything against the old man. It was just a job. Janus Gold couldn't have given a split s**t whether he and that chick were adventuring buddies or ******** buddies. Either way, he loved to spoil a good time, and that just happened to come with this job. Climbing a story or two was easy. Aiming through that window, well, that was a literal pain in the neck. He'd manage, though. After that he'd beat a hasty retreat o'er the hills.
His stomach gave a rebellious groan. He was becoming a little strapped for cash, which would explain why he'd taken the job from someone so shady. A few missed meals could make a man desperate. But this new employer, Christ above! This guy was out for blood. Not only did he have to take out some other guy first, he had this new target before he could finally get his bounty.
Janus made sure everything was together once more, and looked at his little hideout. What did he even drive out to this desolate little bit of heaven?
((Is that okay? Or am I supposed to be working up to the assassination of Renzt now?))

[MUCCCHH Better. I can really work off of that.]
Hm. Well, it was time for the kill, soon.
As for the ride there, it wasn't too bad. He had rigged himself a small little cart. Motorized, too. It was truly one of the only ones around, and the best part was that it ran on electricity. Hot damn.
This employer...Jona something or other...he wasn't really all that intent on the old man...
In fact, it was more the girl that he focused on. He kept talking about her "potential", her fiery aspirations and such...how he needed her on his "team" or something. Even though it sounded sketchy, a job was a job. And this guy seemed to have a lot of power backing him. A good man to keep tabs on.
Jona worked at some hotel, but it was almost scathingly clear that something was going on behind the scenes. Something to exploit, for sure.
Well. One shot would do the trick. The inn was dead ahead, Renzt asleep and visible right at the second highest window. It was almost too easy.

Simple. Nail the old fart... he'd gotten a name- R.. Ran? Ren? Renzt, that was right- and he'd have some cash and some food. Janus wasn't to the point that he'd consider dining on the corpse, but he was getting there. Besides, the toxins in the dart he planned to use would ******** him up secondhand just as much as it'd do in the old guy.
Janus looked back at his cart. Jerry- damn stupid name for a vehicle, sure, but that's what happened when you were alone all the time- would draw way too much attention from the local pigeons. He needed to be as quick and silent as possible, so he'd picked this little spot to shoot from.
In, out, food. Simple as that. Soon as it was over, he was out of there. Janus ran it through his head like a mantra as he took one last look to make sure he wasn't being watched. He made sure he had a straight shot. Definately no room to mess this one up.
Then he fired.
((Do I need to roll?))

...and that's how goo he was. Clean. To the point. Dead-bang accurate.
Well, now that that was done, he could go pick up his check...
Or he could take that optional mission.
Pick up the girl.
Escort missions never really turned out well, but hey, she was special, right? Probably not like him, though...that was something he kept in the dark, ******** up. Like the rest of the world. ...No one understood.
Not one.
Hah! Well, it was time to choose. Easy money now, or big money later?
[Okay. Let it be known that, being out in the world, you may do WHATEVER you choose. I'm just letting you know of the jobs available to you. BTW, when you're back on, let's make us a character profile and discuss your DISABILITY.]
Hm. How far away was the hotel?

Janus gave his brow a good rubbing while he considered the choices that lay before him. He was done. The hotel was only two or three days away if he rode Jerry. The mercenary could take his cash and clean his hands of all this.
Or he could take the girl.
Jerry was good at moving any amount between one person and one person. Should he somehow get the girl
this freak, like me
to follow him, it'd involve a long trek on foot- besides, did he really want to flaunt his assets in front of someone who could pose a threat? That also meant a round trip after leaving her at the hotel and getting back on Jerry. That left him with plenty of cart power, but he didn't know just how long it'd take.
Besides, couldn't he find it in his heart to let a fellow oddity walk free a little longer?
No, no he couldn't. The money was too good. So Janus was going to stalk another target until he could figure out the best way to lead her into his employer's hands.
And maybe he didn't have to meet her to get her to trail him. If this chick caught wind of who did Renzt in, she might go after them.
Cat and mouse. I'll wait here and see what happens.

Sasha walked behind the inn to avoid the rush of poeple heading towards it to see who had died. This was probably the biggest form of entertainment they had in asges, but that was the problem when you lived in a small village. She doubted that this killer had bought anything, but if he had it would have been in the general store, so thats where she directed her steps.
