Wahabu was having a particularly difficult night, plagued with strange dreams and just generally having a hard time getting himself comfortable. He'd been having visions more frequently since he figured one out for the first time with the two brothers who just happened to show up at the same time, and at that very moment he was quite tired of it. Of course, it was the middle of the night when he wanted to be sleeping instead of wandering around.

Instead of bothering his father in their den, the young lion had opted to go for a walk to see if burning some energy would help him sleep easier when he returned. It was a lovely clear night, the moon was high and the stars were bright- and he had to admit it wasn't a bad night to have insomnia.

Taking his time, Wahabu headed for the waterhole.

The black lioness had been walking all day. Coming back from her journey from the Ela'wadiyi lands, she was glad to be back in the pridelands. Even better, it was a cool night. Jinamizi's ears perked when she saw the moon reflected on the ground. A smile came across her maw as she walked close to the watering hole.

"It's good to finally be back." She said softly as she lie in the soft grass and started to lap up the crisp water. Jina coughed a little when the cold water met her throat. Her brow ruffled,

"Maybe I should have waited a little." Her voice was hoarse.

Wahabu was almost right to the water before he noticed that anyone else was around, despite the bright moonlight it seemed he was tired enough, and the stranger was dark enough that he did not pick up on her presence. The cough was what confirmed that he was seeing another by the water's edge. He took a moment to just look on, see if he was noticed. Cautiously, he stepped closer to investigate.

"Hello?" he called in a careful but friendly voice.

Jinamizi jumped lightly when she heard the voice, her fur stood on end on her back. She looked over to see the male.

"Hello there." She said with a small laugh, "You scared me for a second." She stood up, her paws weary from travel. She made her way over to him. She was surprised that she hadn't picked up on his sent before. She could blame her fatigue on that.

"It's nice to see someone again," she smiled, "didn't think anyone would be awake at this time of night."

Wahabu tensed when it looked like he might have startled her, or she might not be as friendly as he hoped. Luckily, the greeting and laugh told him that perhaps it was ok. He offered a smile, and nodded in response to the greeting.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," he apologized brightly, "I didn't think anyone would be around either. What brings you out here?"

She sat down on her haunches, and wraped her tail around her.

"It's alright," she smiled, "I startle eaisly. I accuially just returned from the Ela'wadiyi lands." she reached up and scratched her ear with her paw.

"Are you fro aroud here?" She bodly asked.

Wahabu followed her example and sat down as well, though his tail remained swishing in the grass behind him. He was relieved that he wasn't particularly frightening, or had not done something too out of the ordinary- that wouldn't be very nice. Of course, he could always blame the fatigue.

"Ela'wadiyi? I've never heard of it," he commented, glancing off to the distance curiously, "I live here, yes. My name is Wahabu." The lion looked back at the stranger, introducing him with a smile, "What's your name?"

"My name's Jinamizi." She said as she smiled and tilted her head to the side. She looked back to him and smiled. He seemed nice. More frendly then the other lions she had met.

"It's a pride up near the mountians. It was pretty nice, but you can't beat home." She laughed remembering the cool mountian winds.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Jinamizi," he replied politely upon learning her name, and he eyed the pink fur on her head and around her tail. It wasn't a color he saw often, the only other pink lion he knew was Intombi.

"A pride near the mountains? I've only ever been to a jungle, and then around here," Habu said thoughtfully, trying to recall his short visit to the Umande'mfuni area with his mother, "So, you're from around here as well?"

"The pleasure's all mine Wahabu." she flicked her tail lightly as she heard her full name, "You can call me Jina though."

"I am," she answered his question, "I've been walking around trying to find my place."

Her ears perked when she heard the mention of another lad. "I've never been to the jungle before." she said curiously, "What's it like?"

"Jina, then," he repeated after her with a small smile, "You can call me Habu, if you like." It was the one nickname that had stuck, the only one he really had. His mind drifted back to the jungle area his mother had taken him to, trying to find a good way to describe it. He realized quickly it would take some doing if he tried to find it again, after all he had been flown part of the way last time.

"It's very different from the Pridelands," Habu started by stating the obvious, and glanced around them, "There are so many trees, and there are only a few around here that are all scattered about. There's a pride that lives near there, my mother told me, but we didn't get to see any current members. Though we were talking to someone who was born there."

"Habu.." she repeated, letting the sound roll over her tongue. "It has a nice ring to it." She complimented.

She sat and listened to his description of the jungle. She glanced up and looked at the few trees that darted the horizon. "It must be very cool there." She said as she looked back to him.

"I met a lion in the Ela clan." She mentioned, "I didn't see anyone else there though."

Wahabu smiled at the compliment to his name, he had always liked his nickname- it was the first one that stuck. He couldn't really remember who had given it to him now, though. His grin widened at he comment on the Jungle, it was a very nice place but there really was no place like home.

"After living here, with all the lions that live around here, it's kind of odd to find prides that are so small or secretive that you might only meet one of the members when in the area," Habu pointed out, trying to imagine going through the Pridelands and seeing only one other lion. You might only talk to one, but odds were you'd see another or many others in the distance.

"I know what you mean." she said as she thought back on her trip to the Ela lands and meeting the shy lion and his flying friend. She really did feel alone out in the mountains.

She looked back over to the cool water, and remembered her time with her father before he passed. He was the one who taught her everything. From hunting, to finding the perfect den.

As Jina's gaze moved back to the water, Habu looked in that direction as well. He sighed quietly, before glancing back towards Jina, "Do you plan to go anywhere else now, or are you going to be staying here?" Habu was tired, and not sure he could remember every little thing she had said but he seemed to recall she was trying to find a place for herself. Of course, he had also gotten the impression she had lived around here before. He was curious.
