The whole family had been in a bit of a slump since Ethan's leaving, and Björn a great deal more than the others...for obvious reasons. It was because of this that Hellis had dragged him tooth-and-nail to the mall. He figured people may make him feel better.
So the young man returned to their table in the food court with a cookie the size of his head and an enormous cup of milk, which he began utilizing long before he realized that there was a small troup of teenagers touching his man. Or, more accurately, his bicep.
And there was no blood.
"So, do you, like, take steroids or something?"
"Nope. I'm just naturally this huge."
"Ha-ha. No, seriously."
"No. Seriously."
"Oh! Ha-ha. Well, how tall are you?"
"Seven-one."
"Ohmagawd, seriously?" Oddly enough, Björn was smiling when he stood, almost beaming as the kids babbled incoherently. The tallest of them couldn't be taller than 5' 10".
"Can we, like...take a picture?"
Björn sighed. "Suuuure. If you really want to." One of the girls recruited a poor passer-by to man the camera and they crowded around the poor, antisocial behemoth. Said behemoth picked two up, simply for reference, and the picture was taken. He replaced the two giggling girls to the ground and fell back into his seat. Names were exchanged and the group was off, giggling and talking between themselves.
"They liked you," Hellis said quietly, half-smiling.
"Nah. I'm just a freak of nature," Björn snorted, "They're not used to it."
"And you're attractive too, can't forget that," Hellis giggled as he fed Björn a bit of his cookie, "You feeling any better?"
"A little, yeah."

A trip to the mall had provided Song a good chance to observe Erishi in a social environment. It was an interesting study, to be sure. At least he'd managed to fix up her personality.
The woman was choosing a soda from the fountain when Song had spotted the group of kids around the large man. He watched for a few moments intently, raising an eyebrow. "Hey." He said, voice low. Eri looked over at him, blinking wide eyes. "Björn."
"Eeeh?!" Eri said, turning around to watch. A smile spread over her face as she watched, slowly moving towards the table. But he was with someone. Hoping that he wouldn't mind too much, Eri carefully tapped him on the shoulder. "Hi."
Song settled back to watch, brow slightly raised.

Björn looked up, eyebrow raised, and then smiled.
"Heya, Eri. Hn. You look a little worse for the wear. You okay?" He stood, hands on her shoulder, looking her over. His immediate thought was that this new guy had done something. It was unfounded and inappropriate, but hey.

Smiling up at him she wrapped her arms around him and squeezed hard. Even if she looked 'worse for wear' her arms had a stronger grip than before.
"I'm good!" She said, beaming. "How're you? How've you been? Your friend is cute!"
Song's eyebrow raised slightly at the sudden cheer, pulling out a notebook from his pocket and starting to scribble. He took a second look at Björn and shook his head slightly. Jeeze.
"Don't worry about him. He's kinda weird but harmless."

Björn hugged Eri back, smiling.
"I'm fine now. Things were a bit hectic but...fine." He arched a brow at this new guy then, discerning name, purpose, and if he'd ever touched his girl.
He hadn't. Thank God.
See? My powers are useful.
"My...friend? OH! Oh, this is Hellis. I mentioned him before, I'm sure, in a fit of tears." Hellis stood and waved before leaping into the group hug.
"And he knows what happened. And he's cool with it."

"You did." Eri smiled at Hellis, giving him a squeeze. "And he is the cutest thing I've ever had the pleasure of being around. If I was allowed to use the stove, I would make you cookies bigger than your head." She said seriously, nodding.
And then there was the last bit. Eri gave a little laugh and another hug. "Um, good. I was hoping that you didn't want to eat me alive for that."

Hellis shrugged, bent awkwardly so as to sling his arm around Eri's shoulders. Who was he to judge?
"Nah. He's a good kid."
Hellis beamed.
"Liam's still a little freaked out, though. Speaking of...he's a damn good repairman..." He arched a brow at Song, questioning if he needed or wanted help.

"Poor Liam." Eri giggled again.
Raising an eyebrow, Song strode over and tucked the notebook into his pocket. "Huh. Couldn't hu-"
"No." If Eri were a cat, her ears would be laid back. She reached and covered the back of her head with her hands. "I'm fine. I'm not broken."
"Then eat something."
". . . Not hungry." Eri squirmed.

"Look," Björn said, crouching to get to Eri's eye-level, "He helped repair me when the professionals had no idea what was wrong. And Hellis here is a damn good programmer. I know you don't like Liam much, but...he's good." He nodded.

"I'm fine." Eri argued, still covering the back. "I'm sure that Hellis is good and Liam made his bike, but I'm fine. No reason to be making a fuss over anything!" She beamed, but looked a little worried. If he insisted, then she'd do it. Just because he wanted her to.
"Feh. Of course you're fine. You just can't feel things correctly. Go ahead and tell him when the last time you slept voluntarily was." Song replied.
"I'm fine."

Björn's brow furrowed.
"I care more about your well-being than you irrational fears," he said sternly, "but listen to me. You need to sleep." He picked up her arm.
"And you need to eat, too. Give him a try, will you? If it hurts, if you get too scared, he'll stop."
Hellis pet Eri's hair and then nuzzled it. Poor woman.

". . . Okay, Björn. If you say so. I will. If you trust him he must deserve it, so he'd be able to make me.... Un-broken." She caved in, looking at the floor. She reached up to pat Hellis' head. So nice. "It just doesn't make sense to do something when you don't feel like you need it."

"Yeah. I didn't feel like I needed a tune-up four years ago either," Björn nodded, "Ended up that I'd been killing anything I saw with a heartbeat. Go figure." He sat down again then and held an arm out, inviting Eri to join him. Hellis quickly perched in his lap, watching the new people carefully and eating his cookie much like a chipmunk.
"So. Song. I'm glad I don't have to crush you."

"That does seem like a problem." She said seriously, sitting down and stealing looks at Hellis. He gave adorable a whole new definition.
"I'm glad as well. For obvious reasons. She told me about the last guy who faced your displeasure around her." And a lot of other things.
"He hates being touched and creeps out if he wakes up and people are cuddling him. He's a safe friend!" Eri piped up. Song gave a groan.
"I'm not a friend. I'm just the repair man."

"I don't have to worry about you, then. Good," Björn nodded to Song, about as much friendship as the poor man would ever receive. Hellis stared at Eri, noticing that he was...well...being stared-at. He paused in his munching for a moment, still chewing and raising his head. He cocked his head to one side, asking what, exactly, she found so amusing.
