Ok, here is the official start of the art contest that has been talked about for quite a while. The rules are simple:

1) You will have two weeks to complete a fanart picture using the characters of Skip Beat, since this is a Skip Beat guild. That means the contest will end July 16th.

2) The theme is cosplay, that means dress up the characters in any costume of your choice from another series or anything!

3) Entries can be either hand drawn or drawn on a computer, but beware, PLAGARISM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. If you claim someone else's picture is yours, that is instant disqualification.

4) Coloring of pictures is allowed.

5) Only one entry is allowed per person. Send all entries to me, Kuroi-sama, via pm and I will post them up during the judging period. When submitting them, be sure to mention in the pm also which characters they are cosplaying as.

6) Judging and winning will be as follows. There will be two judging stages. There will be the popular vote, in which all members of the guild may vote for their favorite and there will be the official judge vote, in which two or three crew/moderators will rate each picture on a scale of one to ten. The picture that does the best overall will be the winner.

7) Prizes are as follows:
First place - Nitemare boots
Second place - Coon Tail

Well....we have an interesting turnout. Four submissions, one of them is from me. Voting will now start via a poll. Vote for your favorite! I will not reveal names of artists till voting is over because I want people voting for their favorite and not for who their friends are.

Heh...it's too bad no one did a Tsubasa Chronicle or Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha cosplay, they would have automatically gotten all tens from me...possibly (I'm only saying "possibly" because I have my duty as the guild captain, the truth is, you totally would have gotten all tens. lol).

All I have to say is BEAUTIFUL art work^^It makes me want to cry of joy^^

who can do the judges thing? is it only the specific people or can anyone do it?

Dah duh duh DAH!!! OK everyone! The moment you've been waiting for! I am now going to annouce the winners!! Before I do I'd like to say that all the art pieces were beautiful and I hope that if we have another competition, we will also receive more entries. blaugh

Now, without further ado:

First place goes to picture number 3 which was drawn by...me. sweatdrop

Second place was really close with picture number 1 and 4 tied for second in the poll but picture number 2 winning by the judges. Adding the two together...

The second place winner is picture number 2 drawn by Black_hayate71.

I'd also like to recognize the other entrants. Picture number 1 was drawn by [][]hi[][] and picture 4 was drawn by Lunar_Pillow.
