My friend and I feel like losers. We're both clarinet players, but not the best... We're playing the Grand Old Flag for the 4th of July Parade I can't march and play at the same time without losing step for some reason. Any tips? Tomorrow is our last practice before the parade

Too late now, but just don't play. Show is more important in this case. Others will fill over you in the music for marching season. Concentrate on the marching for now.

Fake it. Concentrate on marching in uniform. Also, try to be in the middle of your row, so you won't be easily seen.
Or... play your music over and over again until you can literally do it in your sleep. Then work on your footwork. This will be hard though, due to your limited time.

Mark time every single time you play the song. After a while it will be second nature to be on the right foot. If you play it enough, I'm sure you wont be able to get off step even if you're trying to.
