Welcome to my Quest

Okay, seeing as I can't decide which of these two characters would be more fun to RP in such a setting, I've gained permission to quest for two at the same time. Each on a different cert, mind, but I'd love to try and get the both of them at the same time. As a pair, arriving on the island together.

For those of you who might know me, or know of me, from the Pokemon Haven. I am going to RP these two as though they have never met Hitsuzen, Tentou (PH Region), or anything relating to the Pokemon Haven at all. Makes for less confusion, and anyone who knows Hitsuzen knows that her Pokemon wouldn't end up lost and forgotten if they turned up missing.

Now, for a little bit of useless info...

Yasha is an OC of mine from way back when Umbreon had just been heard of, created right before the boom of Umbreon popularity. She's always held a special place in my heart, and whenever I'm RPing anything Pokemon related Yasha is usually included. I got a custom of her in the PH, and I cannot express my excitement on that. This would be on that same level, to be able to see my Yasha interacting in such an interesting plotline, and perhaps overcoming her misunderstanding and hatred of the human race.

Genken, while not as old a character as Yasha, has recently started to grow on me. Originally I was merely trying to come up with what I'd consider an appropriate personality for a beast worthy of being a Hellhound, and now I very much enjoy the character whenever I do get the chance to get into his head. Honestly, he's kinda taken on the same sadistic attitude as a cosplay of mine, so it'll be interesting to see how he reacts to physical change. I anticipate a lot of rage, confusion and broken furniture. Fun, fun stuff.

Now, onward to the real info! Know that I'll probably be tweaking info every now and then, especially with the personalities. I can't seem to get them as detailed or properly worded as I want them to. XD

((Teigra: Quest idea is approved! Good luck! We'll work out the details with the artists later after you get all your info down here, dearie. ^__^ ))

Yasha

User Image
Name: Yasha (Image © Hotaru-Neko)
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Pokemon: Umbreon

Starting Stage: Pokemon

Physical Description if Starting Human: N/A
Some Physical Trait Suggestions for Human Side if Starting as a Pokemon: Holds herself in a very confident manner, still slightly arrogant. Average height for a young adult human female, thin but not frail. Same fur colorings and patterns as she had as a normal Pokemon, any hair atop the head shouldn't reach past about an inch above the shoulders. Hair preferred straight, though uneven at the ends to give a jagged look. Clothing suggested dark, colors of black and red, black and purple, or black and yellow. She would not be likely to cover more than what's required of her, as she'd still be pretty unwilling to make herself appear any more human than she's already become, shoes would not be tolerated. Any metallic accessories should be gold.

Personality: Strongly dislikes humans, and avoids most all males at any cost. Otherwise, very arrogant and confident, she's convinced that she can intimidate everyone with her threats. When said threats don't work, she usually resorts to violence. She does have a softer side, but it's shown to other Pokemon more often than humans, and only female humans whenever that comes about. She seems to have a liking for children of any species, whenever she's crossed paths with them.
History: As many trainers tend to forget, most Pokemon are still born in the wild. Now, there is no exception for those that are considered to be the rarest of types. It must have been no less than half a decade ago that the wild Umbreon had laid her egg, which in a matter of time hatched into the most unlikely thing that the Pokemon world had seen in quite some time. Twins, born from the same egg. Not unheard of, but even more unusual than that of a human giving birth to more than one child in a single pregnancy.

Despite the unusual birth, the twins seemed healthy and fully developed, if not a bit smaller than an Eevee permitted to grow without another body taking up half of the room. She loved them so, both of them. Her son...and her daughter. Overjoyed that she had birthed twins, she cared not for either any more than the other, even if it was extremely rare for a female Eevee to be born in the first place.

As the duo grew, their mother did everything within her power to protect them. She would die for them if she must, in order to ensure that her young could continue to live as they desired. They lived peacefully and without worry, the forest in which they dwelled untouched by the human hand. She'd found this place just in time, in fact. The Umbreon had searched months for the proper place to raise her children, without the worry of the human trainers discovering them easily.

Her mate had promised to catch up in the journey as well, to aid in her protection in such a vulnerable state, but he had never caught up with her. Though, she still waited hopefully, and had been sure to mark her trail without fail. On the nights of the full moon, she would sit on a hillside and call for him, howling out into the darkness. Slowly in the months that passed, she began to wonder what had become of him, what had caused him to fall behind.

If she were to know that she would never see the father of her children again, perhaps she would have migrated on when the humans began wandering along the borderlines of her territory. Perhaps, but still she waited, risking her family.

It had been six months since the Umbreon had witnessed the birth of her twins, nearly a year since she'd last seen the one that had helped in conceiving them. She'd given up hope, for the most part. Though, the two Eevee would often find her gazing off into the distance, eyes glossy and focused on nothing in particular. Too young to know how much of an impact loosing a mate could be, nor the cause for their mother's distress, they could do nothing but wonder.

She'd told them nothing of their father, determined to share her information on him when her young were old enough to understand. At this point, it would only bring questions she'd be unable to answer. Questions about why he'd left her to find a home alone, why he'd left them. He hadn't left them, it wasn't like him. She wouldn't believe it. Something had kept him from coming to her, and there were times when she wished to go back and search for him. But, she could not. Her son and daughter were too young to make the journey.

So, she had begun teaching them early. About what she knew of the world, of the other Pokemon within it. She taught them of the dangers of the forest they lived in, and demanded that they never leave their home territory. Most importantly, she stressed to them how important it was to avoid the humans. They would hurt them, capture them and take them away from their home forever. Humans were monsters in the mind of this Umbreon, and she passed this fear on to her offspring.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The lush paradise in which the trio had spent the past several months was discovered by the humans. It was only a matter of time before numbers of them would invade their territory to take what they desired. The plants, the Pokemon. Along the edges of the forest, they even began to take the trees. Their den was deep within the forest, and even though it took a bit longer for the humans to find them, it was bound to happen in due time.

It must have been early morning, when they were awakened by a foreign call. "Hey! I've found a den entrance over here, maybe we can lure something out of it." It spoke, and even if the Eevee and Umbreon could not understand these words, they were terrified as the identity of what was outside clicked. Humans had found them. Their mother recovered almost instantly, and was out like a shot. ~Get out!~ She barked, though none could determine to whom she spoke. To the humans threatening her young, or to the two Eevee that promptly dashed for the rear entrance to their den.

To the horror of both, the human who had spoken was not alone. There were two, both of them men. Both Eevee stared up at the one before them, frozen for only a moment, before instinctively running to where they knew their mother to be. Hiding underneath her body, they whimpered to her, afraid of what would become of them. The man who'd discovered them first stood with an amused grin upon his face, and nudged his partner as he stepped up next to him. "Look at that, I don't reckon I've ever seen a wild Umbreon before." He stated, gesturing to the mother. She tensed, seemingly frozen where she stood. Back arched, hackles raised as she did her damnedest to hold the most threatening position that she could muster through her fear. "Yeah, not to mention the two Eevee... We'll be sure to get onto Boss Giovanni's good side, if we bring these Pokemon back!"

One Rocket gave a short laugh, "Look at 'em. Scared out of their wits! This should be easy..." Reaching to his waist, he removed a PokeBall. "In the bag." He stated, giving the ball a toss. As it hit the ground, there was an eruption of red light. It quickly faded away, revealing a Scizor. Flexing its crab-like claws menacingly, it glared darkly at the Umbreon.

Trembling beneath her, the twins whimpered. Their mother growled loudly, ~When it attacks, you run away. As far and as fast as you can. Don't return until their scent is gone. You listen to me, and don't look back!~

She barely had a moment to take a breath after this command. "Scizor, use your Metal Claw!" In the blink of an eye, the two collided as the Umbreon bound foreword to meet it. A shrill yelp rang through the air, followed by the shouts of the Scizor's master.

Frightened, the Eevee had no choice but to do as their mother instructed. Taking off in the same direction, one Rocket chased after them. "You're not going anywhere!" He yelled after them, unlatching an Ultra Ball and chucking it at them. The brother gave a distressed cry as he was hit and drawn inside, struggling vainly against it with all that he had. As young as the Eevee was, he could not escape from a device of such strength. Defeated, the Ball was promptly retrieved and pocketed.

The young female continued to run, fearing what lingered behind her. She'd heard her brother cry out, and her mother's painful howls were still ringing vividly in her ears. Or, perhaps she could still hear the battle near their den. Regardless, she dashed on until she leapt into a thick mass of vegetation and bushes. Catching her breath, she scanned the area behind her for the human that had run after them, and for her brother. Neither were there...

She remained in her hiding spot, for what must have been hours. The area from which she had come had finally gone silent, and had stayed that way for quite some time. Convinced that it would be safe to return to her home, she backtracked to home from her erratic escape.

The humans were gone, long before she had returned. Her brother was nowhere to be found, captured and taken away by the humans. She'd apparently been dismissed, as they had no idea how far away she'd gotten, nor in which direction she'd gone after sight of her had been lost. Her mother was still there, lying awkwardly outside their den entrance, back to her.

The Eevee approached her mother, pausing a foot or so away. She'd circled the den, in order for her mother to see her approach. Her sensitive nostrils were met with a vaguely familiar scent. Unpleasant to say the least, a scent she could recall her mother to carry briefly after returning from a hunt. This was much stronger, almost more than her nose could bear.

To her confusion, her mother did not rise to greet her. Was she asleep? No, her eyes were open. She couldn't be asleep. Forcing herself to ignore the stench that seemed to insist on lingering, she stepped up to her slowly. Nuzzling her mother's snout lightly, trying to stir her. Nothing. Sitting back onto her haunches, becoming frightened all over again, she whimpered. Examining her slowly, her body was covered in no less than half a dozen deep wounds. Clean cut through her fur and skin. Some seemed to still hold fresh blood, though most had already dried. Eyes dull, clouded and lifeless. She made no movements as her daughter looked her over, gradually beginning to grasp her condition.

Whimpering softly, she shook her head to will away tears. She wouldn't believe it, their mother wouldn't give up, she couldn't be gone. ~Wake up, Momma.~ She pleaded, ~You have to help me...brother is gone.~ She continued, reaching out to paw lightly at her mother's stiff forepaw. Getting no answer, she became more frantic. ~Wake up, Momma! WAKE UP!~

Shouting at her proved useless, it took only a few minutes for her to realize. Her fear had been confirmed, she was completely alone. Her brother, her mother. Gone. Tail dragging the ground, she slowly crept back into their den. It wasn't until she'd curled up into a tight ball, lying where they had always slept together, that she let her emotions win.

It wasn't the last night that the Eevee would cry herself to sleep, many more would follow. Especially as she adjusted to adult life, much sooner than would have been needed. Now that she was alone, she had to fend for herself, or she would not survive. Mother had spoken of hunting, and had been bringing meat back to the den. She was used to eating it, had nothing against the taste. However, seeing as she'd never been taken out on an actual hunt, she only had the vague instructions from her Mother to help her in capturing her meals.

At first, killing another Pokemon seemed like an act of taboo. Though, she learned quickly that holding such a moral would only cause her starvation. A carnivore could not live on plants and water, after all. After countless failed attempts, and some prey-inflicted injuries, she finally caught a small Rattata. With weeks of practice, she began to stalk almost flawlessly. Returning to her den with food began to outweigh the times she'd come home frustrated, with nothing but an empty belly.

Hunting was only the beginning, she had to become stronger. Much stronger. Not only to defend herself from any of the Pokemon in her territory, but in order to protect herself from humans as well. Always convinced that they may one day come back, to take her away like they had her brother, or worse...to do as they'd done her mother.

Sleeping and hunting during the day, she trained herself only at night. Be it with the obstacles that nature provided, or any unsuspecting nocturnal Pokemon that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. In most cases, the victim would be smaller than her, and likely to be on the menu for the next day or two.

She trained relentlessly, determined to become strong. Stronger than her mother, not wanting to allow anyone to deal her the same fate. Perhaps it was her determination, her will to become strong, that helped her to evolve. Her confidence increased even more, the night that she transformed into a Umbreon. Sleek, black fur. Golden patterns that seemed to have a mind all their own, emanating a bright glow. Proudly, she promptly set off in search of her twin, leaving the safety of her territory behind her.

With her evolution, she felt even more powerful. More than double her original size, the abilities that she had cherished had improved. Speed, flexibility, muscle, all of it. She'd use her gifts well, and fearlessly. For her revenge, for what the humans and their Pokemon had done to her family.

Easier said than done. The world around her, she discovered, was crawling with humans. Their cities, villages, tribes. They were everywhere, and it disgusted her. Even worse, they possessed Pokemon that answered to their every whim! How degrading. She couldn't imagine answering to the commands of any human, and was left to hope that her brother had not become one of these...traitors.

She also learned of how humans captured Pokemon, many times more than what she would like to recall. It was only a matter of time, before she learned to be a bit more cautious about approaching humans so readily. Even a threatening Pokemon was a welcome addition to their collections. Needless to say, she eluded capture from the humans who were always ready to battle her.

Trainers, as the traitor Pokemon called them, were there to help and teach Pokemon. She'd hear nothing of it, and even those that tried being kind to her were either frightened or wounded by her in the end. Soon, she had acquired herself a nickname. Yasha, which she learned meant 'female demon' in it's translation. This pleased her, and she decided to refer to herself as such. It suited her well, she knew it, and those who did not quickly learned why.

Though, through the humans she learned of her enemy. Team Rocket. Apparently a group of thieves, and horribly abusive humans. She'd found her more direct target, and journeyed on in search of this...Giovanni that she'd heard tale of.

In her travels, Yasha learned of Team Rocket. Of the humans in general, and their Pokemon. While some angered her to her very core, others were easily tolerated. Some even fed her, trying to coax her into being more accepting of their kind. Some gestures of kindness would be taken advantage of, if there was a need to be satisfied.

Though, she was still cold towards most, especially upon first meeting. One was lucky to be able to remember meeting with her, and not have any scars to show for it. She would not trust them, as soon as she'd let her guard down she'd regret it. There was no doubt of this in her mind, and she wasn't about to risk it.

Remarkably, despite all of her cold actions and suspicious nature, two humans did finally manage to gain her trust. Both were Gym Leaders on a set of remote islands, the Whirl Islands. One was Robin, a fun-loving young woman, who seemed to never be caught in a negative mood. Perhaps her cheerful manner was welcomed, Yasha herself may never fully figure it out. Though, she liked her, and was likely to even make it known.

Second, there was Brian. Ironic that Yasha could ever bring herself to trust a man, but this one she became the closest to. He specialized in Dark Pokemon, both in nature and type. His Gym had been built underground, surrounded by a maze of caverns and long tunnels. Brian was Yasha's first trainer, by the agreement of both. Their dark intentions seemed to mix well, and she joined up with his group of menacing Pokemon.

Over a year passed, and Yasha was pleased. Able to come and go as she desired, she was not held captive as most trained Pokemon. Brian had also changed, being exposed only to her and the other Pokemon in his company. He'd become no less evil that his team, completely heartless in the eyes of most, and many feared them. They were referred to as The Dark Legion, or The Dark Wrath respectively. Leaving in their wake only death and destruction, for those who made the mistake of crossing their master.

Brian held a hate for humans that nearly surpassed Yasha's, and being an ex-member of Team Rocket helped Yasha to understand their actions, and the both of them plotted their own revenge. However, this became the only unused plot in the end. Brian, with no provocation to Yasha's knowledge, released her and the rest of his companions. Leaving her to go on her own way once more, wiser and stronger.

Yasha never truly understood why he'd done it, though somehow she wasn't angered by it. The Umbreon felt as though it was only a matter of time, before she and Brian would meet again. Perhaps not as Pokemon and master, but friends, as dark as they may be.

Alone again, Yasha continued her search. For Team Rocket, and any sign that she could find of her brother. He was still alive, she was convinced of that. She could feel it, somehow. She was determined to find him, one way or another. He was all that she had left, and she had to rescue him from the humans.

To her frustration, all that turned up for her were dead ends. As soon as she thought she'd discovered where the Rockets were hiding, they'd seemingly vanish into thin air. Yasha found this extremely irritating, and began to wonder just how long she would be left to trail them. She still attempts to trail them, never one to give up a fight.
Strengths: She rarely shows fear, and more often than not is willing to stand up to nearly any opponent or obstacle. Despite her thin frame, she is rather strong and capable of defending herself very well. She is very skilled in battling, hunting, running and swimming. From the massive amount of traveling she's done so far in her lifetime, she has little problem navigating most terrains or adapting to any outdoor environment. As other Umbreon, she also has the ability to secrete poisonous sweat from her pores when she feels threatened.
Weaknesses: A strong dislike toward humans, especially males, immediate reaction is to try and intimidate or attack. If this fails, she is likely to flee or show some mixture of panic and fear if escape is not possible. She does not like heights, therefore making it unknown if she can climb any obstacles.
Future Plans for Character or Any Extra Info: In the future, Yasha will develop more of an understanding for the humans, and perhaps something past a mere tolerance for their species. Walking in their shoes sort of thing, even though it had been forced. Her relationship with Genken will become less of an unwanted annoyance, after the amount of time they've spent together from the point of arriving together on the island. Aside from Genken, and whatever trust she has for him, she will still hold a dislike and moderate fear of men.

In the case that I achieve the awesomeness that is extra stages, this would be suggestions for a possible human/final stage: Pale skinned, average height for a female. Thin, but not frail. Holds herself in a very confident manner, still slightly arrogant. Bright crimson eyes with slotted pupils, tipped ears, elongated canines, black hair to the shoulders or perhaps slightly above; Straight yet slightly uneven at the ends, perhaps with the occasional blonde highlight. If permitted, Umbreon's tail. Clothing suggested dark, colors of black and red, black and purple, or black and yellow. Feet bare, with fingernails and toenails filed to sharp points. Any metallic accessories should be gold.

Genken

User Image
Name: Genken (Image © Hotaru-Neko)
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Pokemon: Houndoom (See Reference for Markings; Left)

Starting Stage: Pokemon

Physical Description if Starting Human: N/A
Some Physical Trait Suggestions for Human Side if Starting as a Pokemon: Arrogant, with the goal to always hold himself in a manner that is intimidating. Tall and foreboding, well toned muscles, but still thin rather than bulky. Same fur and colorings as he had as a normal Houndoom, upon the face and from finger and toe tips to forearms and mid shin, with brown/orange traveling down the neck and over a good deal of the chest along with mid and lower abdomen. Very short black hair; Spiked. All previously carried bones, ribs and rings around ankles and wrists, and horns still adorn him despite his more humanoid figure. Due to the likely unwelcome restricted feeling of clothing around his back and sides, he's unlikely to wear any shirts that are form-fitting or not open in the front to allow proper room for comfortable movement, if he'd even wear one at all. Shoes would not be tolerated. Any metallic accessories should be silver.

Personality: Hates just about everything, aside from himself. He views himself to be God's gift to the night, and holds a haughty attitude that more than suggests it. He prefers to be left alone, and anyone who gets too close will face his rage. Not a friendly creature, not one at all easy to communicate with. When not making himself a physical danger, he's content in mocking and irritating others in any way he can manage. One to hunt for any possible weakness, and take full advantage of it however he can.
History: Just another peaceful day, or it had been. The sun was nearly gone, leaving the sky it's dark but lovely shades of reds, purples and blues. An elderly man stood near his doorway, holding a bundled blanket in the crook of one arm. He stared off in the direction of an approaching trainer, his small smile broadening as the young girl approached. Yes, this was the one. He recalled the long, turquoise hair. "Ah, it's you!" He started, stepping up closer to the young trainer to quickly close the gap between them. She had paused and given him a questioning glance, and he continued. "We were raising your Pokemon, and my goodness, were we surprised!" He gave a short laugh, as though such things didn't happen on such common occasions these days. "Your Pokemon was holding an Egg!" With this, he took one edge of the blanket and slid it away from part of the shell, to show her. "We don't know how it got there, but your Pokemon had it. You do want it, don't you?"

The girl smiled, bouncing on the spot a moment in excitement. "Of course!" Reaching out for the egg, she giggled. "Thank you so much, I just know that this will make the perfect gift for Michael." The man handed the egg over carefully, and watched quietly up until it had been placed in the girl's backpack. "You take good care of it." He instructed, smiling to himself as he folded up his blanket and headed back into the house. If the elderly man would have had any inkling of what that Pokemon might have been in for, perhaps he would have had second thoughts on handing that little Egg over. Unfortunately, his job was merely giving the Eggs to their rightful owners, not deciding where they went from there.

It was long after the city and surrounding area had been plunged into darkness that she'd found Michael, standing alone along he tree line of the route he'd told her they'd be taking. Seemingly lost in thought, trailing his fingertips over the Dusk Ball in his hands, as he rested with his back against the trunk. Shoulder-length hair and clothing, both in shades of black, nearly allowed him to melt into the shadows. He'd turned his attention to her as movement caught his eye, pocketed the Ball, and with a grin playing on his lips he approached her. He'd nearly let her pass him by, and he slid up alongside her silently and snaked an arm around her waist.

"So late for a pretty young lady to be wandering into the woods alone..." Michael stated quietly, pulling her close with a smirk. "Evenin', love."

She'd nearly jumped out of her skin in surprise, it was a miracle she didn't scream, but seemed to quickly compose herself enough to snap at him. "How many times have I told you not to sneak up on me!?"

"Sorry, Katie." His expression didn't look very apologetic. He went silent once more, brows raising as Katie kneeled down beside him and proceeded to fumble through her backpack. Only when she produced the Egg did he seem to realize what was going on, "You're bringing an Egg with you?"

"No. Well, sort of." Upon standing, she held it out to him. "It's for you! It's a day early, but I wanted to give you something for our anniversary. We've been seeing each other for a month now." She smiled, and as he took it she didn't notice the grimace on his face.

"Oh. Well, thanks..." He forced a smile, and tucked it carelessly in the crook of one arm. "It must have slipped my mind, I don't have anything for you..."

"That's okay!" Katie replied quickly, "You could always pick up something in the next town, right? If we start now we might be there before sunrise."

Michael shifted his weight nervously, running his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, about that..."

"What's wrong?" She asked, frowning.

He seemed to catch the distress in her tone, and quickly pasted another smile on his face. "I forgot to bring a light."

"Oh! Is that all? It's fine, I brought an extra." Sure enough, she pulled two flashlights from her bag, before slinging it back over her shoulder. "Come on, let's get moving before my parents notice I'm gone."

So, off the pair went, with their plans (or Katie's plans) to run off together where Katie's parents couldn't stop her from seeing Michael. He'd arrived in her hometown several weeks before, and his mysterious attitude seemed appealing to her. Just why he might have been mysterious, she didn't seem to wonder, and followed him around like a puppy whenever given the chance. Her father, let alone her mother, didn't like it, and had forbidden her to continue seeing him. Something not right about him, they'd said, a gut feeling. As most teens, she'd brushed them off. Another foolish girl who believed she'd found 'true love' in him.

They'd rented two single rooms in the nearest inn the evening thereafter, to rest up and supply themselves with food for themselves and their Pokemon. The Egg hadn't shown any signs of hatching yet, but Michael seemed keen on keeping it with him at all times, even when Katie had offered to carry it in her bag for awhile. "It's not heavy." He'd say, sometimes replying with a hint of annoyance.

Once they'd both went off to their own rooms to sleep that night, or so poor Katie had thought, Michael had packed up his own bag. He carefully stored away his Egg, along with most of the food, and slipped out of his room in the early hours of the morning unnoticed. It had taken him weeks, biding his time for the perfect opportunity, but finally he was rid of her, and with a free prize to boot. With what might prove to be a nice addition to his team, he was glad he stuck around and waited for her. He knew well enough that she'd never catch up when she found him missing in the morning, and would be left to return home. To most it seemed heartless, but he considered it acceptable. He left her enough food for herself for the trip home, what else could she need?

With no regrets, he continued on his journey. As most trainers, he hungered to be known as the best, a Master in battle. However, his means were not the most desirable of types, and it was only a month after he had left Katie that he stood out in the tall grass of a vast and uninhabited field. The trees around sheltered the view of his training from any unwelcome eyes, aside from any wild Pokemon that might have been stirring in the shadows at what was nearing the hour of midnight.

"Horrible! You've got to put more power into it! Try again!" Micheal shouted, pulling a leg back to give a panting black lump on the ground a swift kick in the ribs. It squealed in pain, and the Houndour struggled to its feet, quivering in its state of near fainting. Before it stood one of the many terrors of the Pokemon world; Tyranitar. Terrifying to this pup, anyway, as it towered over four feet above his head.

It had become routine for Micheal to set the pup against his most powerful Pokemon, and work the Houndour to exhaustion. More often than not, he would end up fainting, after being batted and tossed around like some morbid punching bag. Given no choice but to obey his Master's orders, unless he wished to suffer a brutal beating from his trainer in exchange for the Pokemon.

"Use Ember, you worthless mutt!" Commanded the human, quickly growing impatient by the Houndour's hesitation. When the Pokemon didn't step up, he flung it toward the massive green beast with another kick. "Stop cowering!"

The torture went on, to the Houndour the weeks felt like years. Luckily, his strength did grow, and he slowly began to become more resilient to the undeserved punishment he was constantly dealt. It was under the bright light of a full moon that he finally evolved, into an intimidating Houndoom. His body held all new power. He was bigger, stronger, and vowed that he would never let his Master torture him again. He would get even, he just had to bide his time...

"Well, I suppose you need a name, now that you're not a useless little runt anymore." Micheal commented with a smirk, and the Houndoom merely gave a growl. "From now on, you are Genken. When I'm through with you, you'll hold true to your namesake."

I'll show you. I'll show you how vicious I can be... The demon hound told himself, and he'd already formulated the plan in his mind. Once the Master dropped his guard, once there was an opening, Genken was going to attack. Then he would be free, and he would never again have to deal with bending to the will of anyone again. Or, so he thought.

So, it was only a matter of time before the Houndoom turned on his cruel Master, retaliating against the abuse he'd been subjected to since the day he'd hatched. After crushing his own Pokeball between his jaws, he left the mangled body to the scavengers. He doubted anyone would ever find him, but he didn't care if they did. He'd be long gone, and he wouldn't stop until the scent of his deceased Master was no longer drifting on the wind.

Little did Genken know, it wouldn't be the last time he'd endure torture from humans... And the next time he would be captured, there would be no escape. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.
Strengths: He fears nothing aside from fire's one apparent weakness; Water. Otherwise, he'll stand up to anything and everything in his path, convinced that he's powerful enough to take down the world. This keeps him from freezing up in stressful situations, and he can react in the blink of an eye most times, if the situation permits it. He is very skilled in his attack and defense, with powerful jaws, toned muscles and lightning fast reflexes. While he doesn't take his elemental abilities for granted, if threatened he will use both fire and poison in self defense.
Weaknesses: His fearless attitude is very likely to lead him into trouble. Rash in just about everything he does, even though he does his best in plotting he's far too confident to take much resistance into account. He, like all fire Pokemon, is highly intolerant of water outside of drinking. As a result, he has steered clear of any remotely deep bodies of water and has never learned to swim.
Future Plans for Character or Any Extra Info: Genken will slowly adapt to his human form, in the sense that he can still harness some of the power he held as a Houndoom. He will grow protective of Yasha, and be quick to defend her even when it might not be needed. He will still have an unpleasant attitude, and despite his change still hold a strong distaste toward humans and even other morphs. It is doubtful that he'll ever willingly learn how to swim.

In the case that I achieve the awesomeness that is extra stages, this would be suggestions for a possible human/final stage: Pale skinned, tall and foreboding. Well toned muscles, but still thin rather than bulky. Arrogant, with the goal to always hold himself in a manner that is intimidating. Bright crimson eyes with round pupils, tipped ears, elongated canines, very short black hair; Spiked. If permitted, Houndoom's tail and some variation of the horns protruding from the skull. Other bones that the Houndoom carried may also stick around, ribs likely to only be partially covered by clothing if at all, while those around the ankles and wrists may or may not be covered. Clothing suggested dark, colors of black and blue or black and maroon. Feet bare, with fingernails and toenails filed to sharp points. Any metallic accessories should be silver.

Japanese Name: Blacky
Evolves from: Eevee
Evolves into: None
Generation: Second
Species: Moonlight Pokémon
Type: Dark
Height: 3 ft 3 in (1.0 m)
Weight: 60.0 lb (27.0 kg)
Ability: Synchronize

Umbreon (ブラッキー, Burakkī, Blacky in original Japanese language versions) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon from the Pokémon Franchise – a series of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. Umbreon is one of two Eevee evolutions that require special conditions first featured in Pokémon Gold and Silver, the other being Espeon.

When Umbreon debuted as a Pokémon types#Dark-type Pokémon, it was the only one in Gold and Silver to not be paired with a secondary type, compare Houndoom and Murkrow. Umbreon has the distinction of being the only Dark-type starter Pokémon, but other than that has only played very minor roles in the anime and manga.

Umbreon's name comes from the Latin word for shadow, umbra and the -eon suffix which is common to, though not exclusively shared by, all names of Eevee evolutions. Its Japanese name, Blacky, is a reference to the color of Umbreon's coat as well as its Dark-typing.

The drawing and sprite design of Umbreon was created by Ken Sugimori for its 2001 release on the Game Boy Color.

Biological Characteristics
One of Umbreon's most noticeable features is its yellow rings. The Pokédex states that the rings will glow when Umbreon leaps to attack, becomes excited, or when there is a full moon. Umbreon are also said to evolve as a result of love for their trainers and the moonlight, forcing one to walk during the day can also cause stress. They are described as preferring to lurk in darkness while waiting for their opponents to make the first move.

Houndoom
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Japanese Name: Hellgar
Evolves from: Houndour
Evolves into: None
Generation: Second
Species: Dark Pokémon
Type: Fire / Dark
Height: 4ft 7in (1.4 m)
Weight: 77.0lb lb (35 kg)
Ability: Early Bird / Flash Fire

Houndoom (ヘルガー, Herugā, Hellgar in original Japanese language versions) are one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the Pokémon media franchise. The purpose of Houndoom in the games, anime, and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.

Houndoom's name is a portmanteau of the words hound, which refers to dogs, and doom, which means unavoidable misfortune and destruction. The name Houndoom refers to the species as a whole, as well as individuals in the games, anime and manga.

Biological Characteristics
Houndoom is canine in appearance, resembling the Doberman breed, but some of its features closely match the stereotypical image of a hellhound. Houndoom has two long curved horns on its head, a tail that ends in a spaded tip, and two bony rings around each ankle. These horns are larger in the male. It also has three bony semicircles on its back and a bony collar around the neck. A Houndoom's fur is mostly black, but its muzzle and underbelly are reddish brown. A "shiny" Houndoom is dark blue instead of black, which is sometimes also seen in Dobermans under certain lighting conditions.

Houndoom live in packs, whose leader is decided by fierce fighting among its members. The leader develops horns sharply raked towards its back to display its dominant status. A Houndoom's body is filled with toxins. It releases these in the form of a toxic gas through its mouth, and, if inhaled by other Pokémon, is quite deadly. Houndoom is one of the most feared predators among Pokémon. Just the sound of its howl is enough to send all other Pokémon which hear it hurrying back to the safety of their nests.

Houndoom is particularly infamous for its fiery breath. While most Fire-type Pokémon have the ability to breathe fire, Houndoom's flame has a special property. Thanks to the toxins in its body, a burn inflicted by a Houndoom's pungent flame will cause persistent pain that can never be alleviated. This is why Houndoom is so greatly feared; if it burns you, you'll feel the pain of that burn forever with no hope of relief. Nevertheless, the burn status ailment caused by a Houndoom in the video games behaves in the same way as all other burns.

Funds & Progress

My goal is to get the same artist for the both of them, and hopefully to receive both certs at the same time. Or, at least have them both considered on the Island at the same time. I'm not exactly sure how much is an appropriate bribe in this shop, so I might be shooting too low. If the artist would prefer a higher offer, just say so and I would be happy to oblige.

Preferred Artist: Anyone! 8D
Goal in Funds: 500k in Gold; Offering 250k Each

Progress: Complete; 500k+ in Gold

ACHIEVED: August 17th, 2008 - Thank You, Teigra!
