ITT Discuss your favorite foodz.
~ ~ ~
Well, I was sitting here eating some ramen. It had polish sausage sliced up in it, a scrambled egg, some boiled bacon, canned tuna, some onion slices, a slice of Swiss cheese, a sprinkle of crumbled Feta cheese, a few pickled jalapeno slices, and various spices and hot sauces, all cooked into what I call Ramen Gumbo. There's no okra or file powder, but I still call it gumbo.
Anyway, I was thinking to myself... "Man this is good ramen. I wonder what the folks a the Conlang Guild like to eat..." And another Off-Topic thread was born! I mean, books and music and stuff are great, but food is on a-whole-nother level.
So, of course, I'll start...
I LOVE spicy food. I'm all over the hot sauce and peppers like Serali88 on a cool new script. XD I'm willing to bet I'm the craziest in the guild when it comes to spicy food.
Japanese Food ~ Sushi's great... Especially with some pickled ginger and, of course, some wasabi. I like ramen (of course) and udon. I love sticky white rice so much I bought a cheap little rice cooker so I could make it myself.
When it comes to pizza... It's usually a choice between "supreme plus jalapenos" or simply "chicken, ham, jalapenos and pineapple." Yeah, I'm one of those crazies who like pineapple on pizza, but I've never had anchovies before.
I don't like tofu, lima beans, cottage cheese (never tried it, actually), sweet pickles (but I like sweet relish...), or canned pears.
Oh, and I won't eat any kind of melon, be it watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, etc. I love the flavors, but I can't stand the aftertaste. It's like drinking diet soda.
Ooooh, ooh! My absolute favorite thing to eat (sweet thing, anyway) is TRES LECHES CAKE. It's so cold and wet and soggy but so sweet and creamy at the same time! If you give me a good tres leches cake, I'll love you forever. heart heart Tres leches makes me giddy. eek
And I'll stop there. I could go on forever, but I'm sure I'm boring most of you out there...... Or making you hungry?

All I have to offer is Tuna Helper, still in the box.
We're gonna try to run to Target for some groceries in between the storms.
Stupid Texas weather. *stomach grumbles*

Forgedawn no like teh spicy verh much. We like... hmm.
We like things that are spicy if they taste very good! Like at that ONE Monterrey biggrin They have very good food, better Mexican food than most places. As does that little place just out of town.
I like fake Chinese food, non-buffet style. And Thai! 3 King Rice, ordering a 0 on the spice scale. For serious. I get called a wimp sad
Chicken and Rice is good. So is lemon soup.
Sunkist = sweet nectar of the gods. Also, I drink UNsweet tea eek be amazed!
We hate most fruit and vegetables. It is deadly to us.

So many people are picky about what they eat. I'll eat damn near anything, enjoy the whole process, then make sure my plate is practically licked clean.
I take forever to order at restaurants, because I know that no matter what I order, I'll like it.

Spicy food makes Rebecca sick. ;( For the most part, I can't eat hot stuff. I have to be careful at restaurants because of that.
Otherwise, I'm not really picky, but there are some things that I can't stand, bell peppers being on the top of that list.
