Alright, I think I have a pretty clear understanding of what RMTs are... That they are gill sellers/account buyers. Please correct me if I am wrong. But what does that mean in how they play the game, exactly? From what I've seen they all /follow their leader, have no linkshell, and make parties together. How do they find each other to begin with or... how do they know they are RMTs to start a party to begin with? This whole matter confuses me greatly... can someone please give me a detailed explanation of what an RMT is?

They all work for one person, gil farms if you will. Ussually, it is one person controlling an entire pt, maybe 2-3. They ussually are all in one place irl, at a "job" if you will. They are ussually located in china, though there are a few losers in the US who do it for profit.

RMT is an acronym for "Real Money Trading" Yes, they try to find gils and trade money in game for money in real world.

Easy things you'll see RMTs do :
1. They equip no LP, and usually put up /anon
2. They usually have a PL for their pt, if they don't, expect them to wipe soon.
3. Ppl controling RMT chars belong to a company, and they play for work.
4. They are usually rude... Steal other's mob, then when they wiped they ask us to raise them. (I usually fake AFK for this...)
5. They have their names in a series, for example, toyotabmw, nokia, ericson, etc. in Titan. Or Applea Appleb Applec Appled and so on on another server... I think this Apple series are on Alexander or Sylph.

Thank you, both, very much. Now I have a better understanding of what RMTs are. They are very good at partying, but it's really strange at the same time. No talking, no nothing. .___.

Most RMT I know of aren't really that good at partying...or anything really, aside from claiming NMs >_>

Usually the ones I've seen horribly undercamp (Like level 55s camping where 48s would be normally), are very poorly geared, and basically are just extremely rude to most everyone around them...

...then again some RMTs helped me get my Optical Hat >_> my party was killing Hakutaku somewhat slow so they helped us out for 3 or 4 runs o_o;

Yea... somehow, not all RMTs are bad but most of them are...

My friend got his AF coffer from RMT's help too, but another friend's claimed NM got stolen by an RMT... So idk..... sweatdrop

RMT is called monster capturing in china and it is actually a buisness like job in CHina. There is mutiple computers and they all work out of the same office generally. They have shifts for each character that's why most rmt's never log.

True..... They used to inflate the prices to around 2-3 times of our present price.

I still remember the Sole Sushix12 = 70k until now........

But luckily SE banned the ones the screw up the money... the sushi is back to 34k now...

I miss RMTs. Inflation = good thing for crafters.

Now it's just annoying to make gil for EVERYBODY.

So about 3 days ago i was in a party with a bunch of RMT's (dunes i was filler) and they didn't have a pl and all still had their lvl 1 gear, well i was tank and i had food plus great gear (pld) and the war kept voking it away from me. Finally i let him have the hate (tried to tell him multiple times that I had food and such and to let me tank but he wouldnt listen) so he dies and then it heads after the whm, two hits and whm is gona so it moves for the thf, they had spammed SA and hoped to kill it, it just got them killed, the blm was next to go and it took 1 hit and was gone (aoe killed most of him) and the only ones left were me and the sam and we were both not RMT's and so i voke and invincible to finish off the mob. BTW it was a high lvl gob over by seceret beach cave, we were all lvl 15ish

RMT are part of the reason why i quit the game. They ruined my endgame experience. The use hacks to steal Nms before they even appear on screen. because my ls had trouble getting the NM, it would take longer and longer to get the valuable items that everyone has their eyes on.

Also they were part of the cause of the messed up economy(another reason why i quit). There the reason what things became so expensive. Boy i hope the game changed.

I hate RMT.

Now, it's not the RTMs who you have to worry about claiming over, but other HNMLS who use bots to outclaim.

It's really quite agrivating.

It baffles me as well but the RMT parties I have seen are usually all blm tarus with one bard and they all look the same and have similar names...oh and they are on auto follows as well.

edit: the economy has gone down alot.As for end game I dont know if it has changed since I took a break from end gaming. But yes it was a horrible feeling when a bot would take the HNM from your LS after all the effort and waiting your LS put in.
