Like any guild, group, or basically anything involving multiple people, this guild will need some ground rules. The purpose is of course to prevent conflict and allow peaceful and enjoyable experiences for all here. The key is to have fun of course, that's what I really want out of this guild, so let me know if anything is too restrictive, or if there's a problem. I'll do my best to resolve things. With that out of the way, the basic rules follow:
1) Of course, follow the Gaia TOS and forum rules. If you need that explained you didn't read them when you signed up your account ^^; I'm not going to repost them, but if you're having trouble I'll help you find them if you ask me.
2) No spam. Please. The last thing I want in the middle of an interesting discussion about Tolkein or Frank Herbert or Dr. Seuss is some advertisement or chain posting or something. Please, if you really want to share it, start a new topic or take it into the PM realm. I think it will prevent hard feelings all around that way.
3) Please keep things literate. By this I mean spell out words like "you" and "are" and minimize your use of webspeak. If it gets to be too much and people have trouble reading your posts, someone may let you know. This is just a general policy. And after all, this is a group made to discuss books and literature. I'm not anticipating problems, but just putting that out there now.
4) Be nice to each other, and have fun. Seriously, that's a rule, be nice. If you have problems with each other, don't take it up here. Again, not anticipating problems, but I also don't want to have to be the one to delete posts and take you out of the forums if there is a problem, so I'm just saying that up front.
That's all I can think of, and I hope that's all we need. I don't think it's any more than most guilds will ask of you either, but please, if you have questions or concerns or complaints, let me know (PMs work best) and I'll do my best to address it.
