Maybe Boone took the water under to guise of showing Jack to be less than perfect just so the resulting episode could be some pushing and contact with Charlie?
I hate to say this because I don't really like this idea of coupling but Jack has had slashy moments with all the guys...one noticible one would the be on the moth episode. Charlie and Jack...in the cave and Jack reassuring him he isn't useless and that he's a good person etc.
I'm sure there will be some Sawyer/Jack pairings going on. The inevitable enemies become lovers fandom which I sometimes fall prey to...not sure how I stand on this particular pairing however.

Nolah Maybe Boone took the water under to guise of showing Jack to be less than perfect just so the resulting episode could be some pushing and contact with Charlie? Did anyone else notice how in the Moth, when they were in the cave, how Jack looked suspiciously like Viggo Mortenson? It was kinda creepy...But yay slash!

We don't know his story. As for the Sayid/Sawyer...that is a beautiful image.
