The Dark King For many years now the lands of thyrant have raised there young on the tales of the dark king Lord Tyberius His rule over this land was by far the most prosperous time the kingdom had ever known. His incredible wisdom and guidance lead the people under his watchful eyes into a new era. Often choosing to resolve conflicts with words over weapons his peaceful ways inspired many who walked in his shadow. His words carried much weight with the surrounding kingdoms as did his sword when it was needed but few cared to war against him since he had never lost a battle in all of his 75 years ruling the kingdom. However that was many years ago and as all things do times have changed. The once great kingdom now on the brink of destruction due in part to the years at war and failing leadership. To make maters worse king Geoffrey the current reigning king has taken deathly ill, and the wicked have decided this is the time to seize the throne for themselves.
In the good kings absence prince Andrew sits upon the throne as the last descendant of the dark king. Seeing that even his rule may well meet an untimely end if things continue as they have been prince Andrew sends out a call for help unlike anyone ever expected he has called for any brave adventurers in the kingdom to go on a quest for him.
Will you answer his call?

Since I've been summoned by the King, I will heed his summons. I enter the big throne room, and approach, a bit nervously, as I am unsure about his intentions.
- Greetings, My Liege. I've been sent by the Priestess. She tells me there is something that troubles you.

Arriving ant the castle in thyrant you are greeted by one of the few remaining servants to the royal family, who escorts you to the great hall and makes your introductions to the prince then leaves the room.
(Andrew begins to speak) So is it only you few who have come to answer my call? This really comes as no surprise for some years now adventurers have stayed clear of these lands due to all of the fighting. Unfortunately the economy of my kingdom has suffered greatly from it as well in fact the only merchant still able to pay taxes is the blacksmith. But that is not why I have summoned you. I have a quest I desperately need to have completed. I wish you to locate the 5 mystical items that once belonged to my ancestor the dark king tyberius and bring these items to me with them I would end this fighting and hopefully be able to restore the kingdom to its long awaited glory. It is time for a new king indeed the dark kings may once again make this kingdom great.
Unfortunately the items were scattered around the continent when tyberius died so that no one person could take the power for wrong doing and the only clue to the locations of the items rest in the resting place of tyberius himself as he was buried with a map leading to the first location.
His tomb lies deep beneath this castle and the only entrance to it is a magical portal which only those of his bloodline know the location of I will give you this knowledge and swear you to secrecy about it as there are many who would violate his tomb if given the chance.
I beg you make this journey for me as I would not survive long outside these castle walls Will you accept this quest?

Yami rubbed her wrists, rubbed raw from the shackles she'd been wearing for a few nights now. "This sounds like a suicide mission to me," she grumbled. She was one of the few who didn't have a choice on whether she was going or not. It was either this or rot in jail, and she wasn't fond of the latter. "You can't be serious, right?"

Studies the other adventurers intently.
"My liege, your house has always supported the temple of Artemis. You honor her in your yearly hunt and the girls in your family have always served at the temple. It is my duty as a servant of Artemis to heed your call. So I will dutifully accept this quest".

Accepting the quest Andrew leads you all to the library and opens a secret passage behind one of the many book cases (Andrew says) Nothing inside his tomb but dust and statues this part is easy 100 feet down this corridor you will find the portal to the tomb after you have retrieved the map you must return here before setting out on your adventure He hands you 2 torches and tells you that once in the tomb you will find torches that can be lit along the path

Yami stares into the musty darkness, and swallows. "It's official," she said darkly. "We're all gonna die now." It was easy to tell she wasn't of any presigious blood from her rough speech. She inspected the first part of the tunnel as she walked for traps.

As you walk down the corridor lighting torches along the way you notice that this area has remained untouched by man for a great many years cobwebs and the remains of small vermin are all that you encounter before approaching the actual tomb
Looking in from the corridor you can see that there are 2 chests resting at the foot of the dark kings tomb and two large clay statues appear to be watching over the chests

I look intently at the thief and wonder if she'll try something. I wonder if her intentions to redeem herself are true.
"Have faith, little sister, and the gods will protect you".
I take out my quarterstaff and cautiously follow her.
"I take it you know what you are doing, but two pairs of eyes are better than one".
