I love those books, but I'm kind of worried about the movie aspect. .___.

I heard they were making a movie of that book.
I dunno how I feel, they tend to muck up books that I like when they make a movie of it.
Case in point: H2G2

Hey, I thought they did a good job movie-fying Hitchhiker's...
I want to see the movie, if only to compare it to the book, and for eye candy. Shiny airships make me happy in the pants.

Golden Compass and the rest of His Dark Materials ARE by Pullman.

The Golden Crazy Spiny Watch Thing would have been a better title. :<
Besides, the books are named after the most important things in the particular book.
The entire thing started because of the Northen Lights, not the Aletheometer.
And the movie looks far too high tech and shiny, and I think the castings are all wrong.
I'm very fussy about my literature. D:

I personally think they're using CG like it's photoshop filters. WHEEEE FILTER FILTER FILTER FILTER
D: but if they were to cast real animals for the movie it couldn't be done without spending millions of dollars and wasting tons of time. x___x so there's no way they could do it any other way.
