The summer seemed like it was never going to end. That it would go on forever and winter would never come. At least that is how it felt to the pale faced stallion. He pondered over autumn and winter. Things he hadn't yet seen in his life. Spring had come and gone, now the long summer with it's hotter and quite longer days.

Yiska had taken up his notion of moving away from his mother's land. He would of course go back and visit her, but for now he just needed to find himself. Find his little niche in this vast world that seemed to never end no matter what direction or path he followed.

For now though, he found himself lounging underneath a large shady tree. But he wasn't sleeping. Just watching with those light green eyes lazily as the day rolled by. His curly tail flicked across the grass a few times as a hot breeze ruffled his equally curly mane. The heat had started to make him a bit tired, but he didn't feel like napping. He napped enough normally. And if he napped too much he might miss something.
