Since it's summer vacation and I'm not marching a brass instrument this marching season, I've found that my nails have become long and pretty like they used to be at one time. The thing is, I'm so paranoid about them breaking now. Once one breaks, I have to cut them all. It'll be interesting to see how long they last.

Heh-heh. A big chip of my thumb nail broke a few days ago and now it's a sharp and claw like, and I use it as such. mrgreen

my nails are to fragile to be long. They normally stay pretty short. And they're all different lengths, cause when one breaks off, I just trim that one, and not them all cause I'm to lazy to trim them all. The one thing I hated about Marching Band season was that you weren't allowed to paint your nails pretty colors. Nail polish helps to strengthen my nails, but I don't like just clear nails, that's no fun. They must be loud, and semi-noticeable from a short distance.

I keep mine short because I play video games so often. Once I was playing a game and my nails were kinda long. I got so into it and I was working so quickly that one of my thumb nails bent and chipped off like, really far up. So I've kept them short ever since.

I had a similar incident with one of the thumb nails in 4th grade. I was using a paper towel dispenser and my thumb nail caught onto the thing that you pull down. That hurt...

That's why I'm not scared of breaking them. sweatdrop They break when they break. Sometimes it hurts when I'm being reckless, but usually they break and I don't notice. xd
