So, I'm married to Gustafa right now and we have a kid.
When I went to the kitchen to talk to Gustafa, he said that cooking was a form of "art".
I wanted my kid to become an artist, but I was wondering if befriending Ruby would affect his art (or any) career?
And does anyone know what else could help my kid become an artist?

i want my kid to become a farmer like me. You should show him flowers or something.

To be an artist, befriend Cody, Casey, and Patrick. Take your son to them almost everyday, especially Cody. I think that's all you have to do.
If any, Ruby will influence your son to be an athlete. Her friends and family are the people who influence the atheletic career.

Does seeing any random Daryl events affect your child's career of becoming a scholar?
Because I'm not even friends with Daryl (nor have I ever talked to him), and yet, I see events of him trying to catch Mukumuku(?).
I never talked to the people at the Dig Site either, but I saw an event of Flora relaxing at the waterfall.
And I didn't talk to Chris or Grant.
Plus my kid is starting to get an interest into becoming a scholar.
He's saying his ABC's.
But I have no freakin' idea where he got that influence.
And I've always encouraged him to be an artist by giving him flowers and taking him to see Cody.
D;
Okay... done whining...
So... anyone got any advice on what I can do to avoid the scholar career?

Everyone sees the Daryl vs. Mukumuku events. They're pretty much unpreventable. I'm pretty sure they have little to no effect on your child.
Avoid going to the dig site or Daryl's house. Don't buy him any toys, since you start out with the artpad. Any other toys will influence him to look into a different career.
My kid is interested in being a rancher in AWL. I'm fine with that, since I want him to be a farmer. A rancher is the second best thing. He's always talking about animals and the proper way to feed animals or brush them. It's cute. <3
In AnWL, my kid is going to be a farmer, I think. He's only a toddler, but I take im to Vesta everyday and I show him flowers and crops.He has a little farming bonus because he's Marlin's son, so he's interested in farming.

I still don't know why my kid has ANY interest in becoming a scholar.
I've never went near Daryl, Flora, or Carter, nor their houses.
But I guess it's because of Gustafa since he sometimes goes to the dig site.
: P
I married Marlin once and directed my child to the rancher career.
So now that's why I'm marrying Gustafa next, then I'll try out Rock for the music career.

Okay, I made my son the artist before...
This brings back memories...
Inuyash rest in peace...
Okay, Inuyash's son Terry became an artist. This was for A wonderful Life. But, what you do is not only do you take your kid to see Cody, Kassey and Patrick, put in all the toys that you can buy from Van, and give your son Jade Balls from Carter's dig site.

4th of July and Independence Day both work.
A Wonderful life and Another WL are pretty much the exact same thing. There isn't much of a difference.
If you want him to be a singer, befriend Lumina and she'll give you sheet music. Give that to your son to influence him to be a singer. And befriend Griffin.

I took him to Cody's home most of the time, sometimes he would just wonder around the village to find something to draw.
Also, leaving only the sketch book in his toy box will help also"...
