This post is a bit long, but since this isn't the GD I'm sure you'll be fine.
wink
I'm also sparing you my font formatting.

Have you ever noticed traits about the members of Queen that remind you of yourself? Hair? Eyes? Personality?
Explain please!
We can learn more about Queen and each other!
Or obsess like fangirls who actually have brains.
Whichever.

Okay, mine.
It's probably pretty obvious by now which member I fancy.
Yes, it's the incomparable Deaky.
To make this make sense, I have to explain myself. My current Queen obsession was brought on by watching a special about Freddie on Vh1Classic.
At first, I was just hoarding pictures of the group, and of Bri, because he was originally my favorite member in terms of looks. But, as I kept looking and looking, more and more I was noticing how sickeningly cute that John Deacon guy was getting.
And, I noticed that for some reason I was gravitating more and more towards John.

-I've heard that John's shy and a bit of a recluse, but there were some rare occasions where he was spontaneous and outgoing (there appear to be anyway). That sounds just like me. Shy and reclusive at times, but get me a wine cooler or two comfortable, around the right people, and I'm the most hyperactive, outgoing person I know.

-Particularly during some section of the Queen visual chronicles where Queen receives an award and John tries to keep off to the side and out of the spotlight.
I do that all the time. I sing, and I love doing it and want to do it in front of more people, but at the same time, I want to stay off to the sidelines and give other people the limelight, whether I should be taking it or not.

-When I read lyrics John has written, it makes me think that if I'd been around in his day, we would have gotten along famously.

-I find it a bit scary that when I watch his commentary on things, more often than not, I agree with what he's saying, and it's not even a fangirly thing either... I honestly agree.

- His nerdyness. He was a dweeb, but the lovable, cute sort. I've heard that's what I am. I agree with the dweeb part but I'm not sure about the other parts. I've seen pictures of Deaky where he looks very sexy, but you can see in his eyes that he doubts himself in that area. I do that so much, I practically coined the term.

-I have no idea what his voice actually sounds like (I'm trying to find a clip so I can hear it for myself), but what I hear about it generally isn't positive.
I feel like an egotistical maniac for saying this; I have a great voice, but I didn't always believe so. It was only because people saw my promise and had faith in me that I got where I am today.

-(This is all speculation of course) I can't help feeling that if John had had the support I did, maybe his voice would be a bit more refined, and he'd feel more confidence in it. Confidence has a great deal to do with it. Maybe the reason he doesn't sound so appetizing is because he doesn't have confidence.

I don't know. Is it natural to think and wonder all this stuff, or am I just a fangirl on a rampage?

Alrighty...

I've heard Deaky's voice plenty of times. So much so I can easily imagine any sentence in my head with his voice (it sounds like a school boy). Have you ever ventured through YouTube? Or QueenArchives.com? Plenty of video interviews there >w<

Back on topic, I'm probably a little bit of Freddie and Brian XD

Freddie: I'm artistic and a perfectionist. I would sit at my desk all day, not coming out to eat or anything, until I'm happy with my work. I've also a bit of a mixed up personality, I can be kind and bitchy, nice but mean, naive but mature XD The way Freddie's sentences come out resembles the way I speak, but instead of 'you know' it's 'like' and 'darling' is replaced with 'babe' xd

Brian: I resemble him the most, even physically; skinny, pale, curly hair, I even look like him rofl I'm pretty forgetful and the most difficult to get out of bed, I can't focus on reality because I'm living inside my head too much. I'm not a hippie or vegetarian, but I do believe that killing animals for fun isn't the kindest of sports. I tear up when I see strays and even more when they're little puppies or kittens gonk Anything I buy from the stores might resemble something Bri-Bri wore in the 70's (like a pair of glittery, rainbow toe socks *w*), songs written by him I can sing with little to no effort and still sound decent. Oh, and we both softly, because we're so polite XD

I also ramble a lot, as evidenced in his infamous Soapbox XD And our nicknames are three letters long, 'Bri' and 'Ean' XDDDD

...

Omg, 'brean' XDDD *gets punched lovingly by Popo*

Is this during any concert?
Or a certain one?
I watched the Wembley performance and I think I can sorta hear it...
But, I mean, the impossible; hearing Deaky sing on his own, which he'd pretty much, never do.
Which is sad!
crying
I mean honestly, he can't be that bad.

i'm with Brian on the whole vegetarian thing, and also on the astronomy bit. i'm no astrophysician, but i do have a very nice telescope which i use every clear night i can. There's just something about the night sky that calls me to look up.

My lizard, however, may in fact be Freddie's reincarnation. He looks at you the same way, kind of that sly look you see in Freddie's pictures. (Although he's glaring at me right now, because i just clipped his toenails. He hates that.) He's also very affectionate if he knows you, but rather shy and reserved at first. This is not really normal bearded dragon behavior- they're usually either very outgoing from the start, or just plain misanthropic. (The one at my old school, Sergeant Pepper, HATES people.) He also recognizes Queen music- perks right up when he hears it. There's a longer list... i'll see if i can find it. It's kind of amusing.

Strange.
Speaking of strange.
The other day, after work. I walk to and from work when I can. I had just ended work and was walking past the gravel part of the hotel's driveway when a small bright red patch of color on the ground caught my eye.
It was a cherry red guitar pick. It had a couple small knicks on it, but other than that, it was perfect.
And it's one of those harder ones, too.
I was like
LOL!
It's a sign!
XD
Because I've been trying to get better at guitar, but I can't find my stupid guitar book, and I don't play often because, just fifteen minutes into it my left arm/wrist hurt so bad, I can't play any longer.
And I've been a bit discouraged, because I keep looking up tabs and chords for songs on the internet, and I can't play hardly any of them.
Crazy Little Thing called Love is one of the only possible ones in terms of chords... So maybe finding the guitar pick was a sign I should keep trying!
That's what I'm calling it anyway.

I can definitely relate to Freddie, in the sense that I'm shy on the inside, but seem like an extrovert to everyone else. His birthday is also the day before mine, we have the same favorite color, we both love cats, and we're both Virgo. He just seems like someone that I could easily be friends with.

And Brian a little bit, too. Because I love to ramble.

Molly did an interview with Freddie...He always wears that hat...

But back to the topic! I am realizing more and more that I'm really a mixture of Queen: I tend to be more intellectual and deep-thinking like Brian, I'm crazy and a bit of a pain like Roger, I'm eccentric (love that word whee ) like Freddie, and I can come off as shy to some people like John.

Yep. I'm all over the place.
