Now, looking back (at the age of 22) I fondly remember several things I enjoyed about the 80's. Though I cannot remember everything about the 1980's, such as what the president was like, or what was really happening in the world... there a few things I do remember.
1.Teddy Ruxpin 2. The Ghost of Faffner Hall 3. Fraggle Rock 4. GEM 5.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 6. My Little Ponies 7.Popples 8. Side Pony Tails 9. Scrunchies 10. Lisa Frank 11. Neon Colored Clothes... lime green, hot pink... 12. The Domino's Zoid 13. Pee Wee's Adventures 14. Robert Palmer Music Video's 15. The song wild wild west 16. Socks and Pumps
Now I think some of these things may be early 90's... what do you remember in about the late 80's early 90's? Did your mother make you wear the side pony tail? What did you used to watch on TV?

I'm 22 as well as of June 20th. I remember all of those things except the ghost of Fafner Hall. Frankly, I was an only child so when my parents watched the news I watched it with them and asked questions about things. I remember Regan. lol As much as a preschooler can. I remember being in Kindergarten for the election of 89. That was pretty cool. ^_^ But all in all...the fashion, the tv, etc....I kind of want to forget. I didn't like the music much. The fashion was attrocious (as a whole but somethings are worth keeping...such as lace gloves ^_^). And the culture was...just...weird. I like the late 90's better. At least the music got better and so did the fashion. sweatdrop

I remember Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and Smurfs to name a very limited few.

Ohh yeah. Let's see... some great and not so great things...
Teddy Ruxpin was my best friend
Fraggle Rock kicked a**
The show with the dinosaurs and the baby said "Not the mama!" -forgot the name-
The Ninja Turtles -had the lunchbox, action figures, pajamas, video collection, and bedding set-
Acid wash jeans
Snap bracelets
Dayglo colored everything
GUMBY!
Thundercats
Popples were great
Pound puppies and pound kitties
Those stuffed animals that had a random number (1-4) of offspring velcroed into their bellies. They had a dog, cat, pony... somethin' else...
Skinnamarinky dinky dink... skinnamarinky doo...
Scrunchies that were too big to actually hold your hair
Side ponytails and ponytails right on top of your head
Scary things I remember would be:
Oprah- I was babysat by my grandmother and we had a daily regime of shows to watch General Hospital when it was good Jenny Jones
