Skie had the idea of adopting EGL's monthly themed picture contest.

We don't have access to any gold really (not without charging you guys to enter) but we figure you'd all like bragging rights whee and if all goes well perhaps we could make a calender with loli dollies (deviantART could help with making actual calenders)
so here's the deal before we start any contests, we need your imput:
We can now vote for a our monthly themes that you guys came up with.

Also it will be a art and photo contest. The only guideline is that it has to follow theme and be lolita of course. If you want to draw something instead of taking a photo that is fine though photos a strongly encouraged! Due to this- there may be 2 winners a month and no limit on the amount of times you can enter.

I've changed the poll so we can vote on themes now.

Style theme:
Jan- Sweet
Feb- Gothic
March- Punk
April- Country
May - Guro
June- Ero
July- Sailor
August- Shiro
Sept- Kuro
Oct- Cosplay Loli
Nov.- Classic
Dec- Wa-loli

Birthstone theme:
January- Garnet- dark red
February- Amethyst- purple
March- Aquamarine- light blue
April- Diamond- white
May- Emerald- dark green
June- Pearl/Moonstone- creme/antique white
July- Ruby- red
August- Peridot- green
September- Sapphire- dark blue
October- Opal/Tourmaline- pink (really it's multicolored but still has pink)
November- Topaz/citrine- gold/yellow
December- Onyx- black

Style and birthstones:
January- Garnet [dark red]/Gothic
February- Amethyst [purple]/Romance or Aristocrat [Classic?]
March- Aquamarine [light blue]/Sweet
April- Diamond [white]/Shiro
May- Emerald [dark green]/Wa-loli
June- Pearl/Moonstone [creme/antique white]/Hime
July- Ruby [red]/Punk
August- Peridot [green]/Ero
September- Sapphire [dark blue]/Sailor
October- Opal/Tourmaline [pink]/Cosplay Loli
November- Topaz/citrine [gold/yellow]/Ero
December- Onyx [black]/Guro

Seasonal theme (didn't quite know what to call it):
Jan - Winter
Feb - Purity, sweet lolita to the estent of giving an angelic like purity and innocence.
Mar - War, aka punklolita or severed lolita.
Apr - Venus, beautifully feminine
May - Spring and the begining of summer, flowers
June - Longest day, sun
July - picnic and friends
Aug - Heros dress in lolita
Sep - Goodbye summer
Oct - Im the scariest of them all
Nov - Childrens Day
Dec - Santa's little helper or unhelper

Flower theme:
Flowers can be decided monthly for what's in season.

Now when you vote please keep in mind what you'd be able to do

Couldn't you just do a different style loli for each month?

Example:

Jan- Sweet
Feb- Gothic
March- Punk
April- Country
May - Guro
June- Ero
July- Sailor
August- Shiro
Sept- Kuro
Oct- Cosplay Loli
Nov.- Classic
Dec- Wa-loli

See I think the only problem with that is I'm pretty sure we don't have that many different styles available here in the guild. We could make those the theme for some of the months unless we really could get all those different styles.

I couldn't participate due to a lack of suitable clothing, but I'd gladly offer my assistance in photographing anyone in my area if necessary. ^^

See I'm debating whether we should try seasonal or color themes. I'm just not sure what everyone would be willing to do.

Color themes might offer a bit more variety to the guild members, all things considered. Most of our members are pretty set in sweet lolita from what I've seen, so it might make it a bit more accessible to have themes for each month set on colors.

Perhaps you could base the colors off of birthstones?
Seasonal/Monthly themes are awesome as well, but a bit harder for people to have easy access to clothing that would suit.
