+Doesn't look very appetizing
Have you guys read any other good vampire books? What's the author's name? And maybe a breif summary of what it's about?
I really like the Vampire Kisses series. I just saw yesterday that there is a forth one! I have to go to the library now.
And I just picked up a book called The Vampire Diaries. It's a corny title, but it's a really good book so far. I'm almost done with it. But it's really good so far.
If you you guys have any more vampire books, let the rest of us know!

anne rice's vampire series. like queen of the damned, interview with the vampire, and pandora. she has tons, and they are spectacular!

have you guys read The Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine?
book one is called Glass Houses
book two is called The Dead Girls' Dance
book three is supposed to come out in october and is called Midnight Alley
>>theres going to be a manga that goes with the Vampire Kisses series

Miko Yuki I love the Vampire kisses series but the fourth book does not come out until July 3rd... biggrin biggrin I cannot wait Actually, I have recently went to Barnes and Nobles and saw the forth book of Vampire Kisses there. I wanted it, but didn't have enough money.

I love the Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson. The last one "Undead and Uneasy" came out earlier this month.

I've read all of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. There are quite a few books and characters. I loved them all, but they are VERY different from Twilight. The vampire mythology is different and the overall writing is different... very not fluffy. But excellent.

Try reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton
or the Darkangel Series by Meridith Ann Pierce

I like most of the books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Most of her books include Vampires, I liked Demon in My View best.

The series Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan is really good, also called The Saga of Darren Shan. It's about the life of Darren, a young vampire's assistant, and his life revolving around vampires and the circus his mentor works for.
The Vampire's Promise by Caroline B. Cooney is pretty good. Only three books in the series, and they aren't too long, so the series is nice for light reading.
Another is Salem's Lot by Stephen King. This was an okay book, and didn't start to get interesting until halfway through the book (and it's a very long book)
Hellsing is a pretty good manga series so far. Though I've only read the first volume, I have seen all of the anime, and it is very good. It's about this organization that deals in destroying vampires, though it has two vampires working under them: Alucard and his young new underling, Seras Victoria.

Hey, shiko_me, The Vampire Diaries book you've picked up, is it by L.J Smith? Well, if it is, I've read all four in that series and they all are good, but looking back they are just a little corny in my opinion.

She's also the author of the werewolf novel Blood and Chocolate
((The movie rapped and tortured the novel!))
Any ways, The Silver Kiss is awesome its the book that got me into vampire novels, and then vampire obsession...

Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles are very good. And also Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber is a WONDERFUL vampire book.
