Feel free to introduce yourselves - if you really want to. I've only ever bitten anyone once, and that was in self defence. wink
I'm 24, I'm from the UK, and I've been a Sonic fan for the last 12 years, ever since a poster of Tails in a pre-release promotional display for Sonic 2 made owning a Mega Drive/Genesis look interesting.
Since then, I've been found dipping into all of the various other continuities - although a refusal to stump up mass amounts of cash on upgrading consoles every year has largely reduced my game knowledge to retro-gaming, a borrowed GC and the ROM market.
I suppose that after that, by default, my specialism should be the Fleetway comics I saw through a complete run of; but I've had an Archie subscription for over six years now, so things evened out.
I do some work at Sonic HQ as part of my spoare time, but don't make the mistake of thinking that Sonic's all I'm interested in. I'm far more likely to be found writing my own fantasy fiction, drawing cartoons or with my nose in a book.
I'm a freelance journalist, but also a qualified librarian. If it's legible, it gets read. smile

Hello, my name is Keptan, and I'm an Eggmanaholic. Because he's like, cool and stuff.
ANYHOO, I've been a Sonic Fan since Sonic 2 on the Genesis, and I got even deeper into the fandom with the Saturday morning cartoon and comic series, which I still collect. My favorite character is Dr. Eggman, my least favorite character is... um... Monkey Khan, I guess.
Uh... that's all for now?

*Waves* I'm Samwise Chubb of the Shire Folk ;p
Seriously, I'm an all around Sonic fan, specialising in Fleetway and SegaSonic, with a bit of interest in the cartoons and Archie comic (still catching up on the latter)
I'll often be found burning Shadow plushies, grabbing people off the street and yelling "CALL IT MOBIUS IF YOU WANT, BUT IT'S EARTH!" and hugging my Milesy plushie.
I am Samwise. I am insane.
But you all knew that, right?
In real life, I'm a 20 year old office slave who locks himself in a room and takes photographs of empty packs for the company website, used to do image editting and am still responsible for training others on that.
Fairly eccentric and enjoy spending mass amounts of money on travelling up and down the country in search of a good time with my many online friends, or just treating them to some stuff they want because they deserve it biggrin
Spend my spare time in my bedroom surfing the internet for forums, such as this one, or chatting with people via AIM, or if I'm really bored, I'll play a videogame or read a book.
The term is "Too busy doing nothing"
Got a Mega-Drive when I was 9 and have been gaming away at Sonic ever since.
To be honest, I'm not as interesting as I sound. But, hey, who is?

Hey! I'm Joanie the Climbing Gecko, but you can call me Joanie. I'm a total Sonic freak! I love the games, comics and cartoons.
My specialty is anything AoStH (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog) but I love talking about everything else to.
I'm hoping to move to Burbank come June and get my first job in the Animation business. smile

I'm Joseph. I'll be 18 years old next month on the 23rd, and I've been a Sonic fan since I can remember. I didn't have a Genisis back in the day, but my friend did, and I loved to play his Sonic games. I did have a GameGear, and many Sonic games for that. I also read early issues of the Archie Sonic comic, and watched SatAM. Years later, when I was in middle school, I traded a Blastoise card to my friend for his Sega Genisis.
Now, I collect the Sonic comic monthly, among many other comics. I'm a huge comic book junkie, spending around $80 per month on them. I love the Sonic games, as I'm a big gamer too. Sonic X isn't bad, but I never have time to watch it due to work, school, and social life.
I'm a fan of all things Sonic.

Hi, I'm Kiwi :p
I'm 18 until next April, and I live in the UK.
My fandom is mainly STC, and I am quite attached to the STC personalities of the characters, as I find them significantly more entertaining, and fun to work with.
My favourite character is Espio the Chameleon. I have a bunch of other favourites, including Rouge, Amy (as Kitching wrote her) and Morain.
I do a lot of fanwork :3

Gwen here. 21 year old, pale-faced Scandinavian.
Big fan of the Sonic games since I was a kid, and still am. While my favourite lies with the old-school Genesis games, I'm quite fond of the newer installments as well. I don't like the comics much at all, but I won't poke fun at those who do. Barring the really shoddy dub-work, I quite like the new anime series. Moreso if I can get my grubby mits on a raw version.
Favourite character would be Sonic. Oh, aren't I the original one with that?

My name's Vero. I'm 16 until January 24th. I live in Northeastern Michigan.
I've liked the Sonic series for a very long time. My dad bought me a Genesis when they first came out, and the nerdy boy who mowed our lawn gave me a copy of Sonic 2, which he eventually had to take back (oh, how I cried), but luckily my dad liked the cartoon, and didn't mind fostering my obsession by buying me the comics. A friend of mine who was into the Sonic series let me have Sonic 1 & 3 'cus he had doubles of the games or something~
Unfortunately, time passed and my Genesis got old.. we had to "put it to sleep" so to speak, and I lost my games in the process, so I was out of the StH loop for a while, until I got my own computer and learned the joy of Sega emulators and ROMs. I was happy with that, until one day my boyfriend offered to give me his old Genesis along with the original Sonic game.. and that leads up to now: I bought more Sonic games off of eBay and my friends gave me their old games 'cus they weren't really into Sonic anymore.
..and that is my incredibly long-winded Sonic story. v_v;

Wow, you've all got really neat and cute character pics... Mine's just a bit plain still... And naked. o.รณ
Ahem! I'm Eon, an 18-year-old student from Nottingham (in the UK) on his gap year, who spends far too much time on his computer and not enough time looking for a real job. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I work(for nothing) in a local charity shop for two hours in the evenings, which can be quite enjoyable... But I'd sooner do a job that actually pays. :p
I've been a Sonic fan since around 1993 when I think the AoStH series started in the UK, and gradually my knowledge of the Sonic universes has expanded since then to encompass all of the mainstream Sonic universes (Japanese, European, and American) to some degree. It's hard to pick favourites, and they've shifted over time, but I'd say I like the gaming universe best (which is implied by the fact that my sprite comic is primarily based on that universe, albeit altered somewhat to suit my own designs).
My sister owned a Master System with about two games once, and I think I played on it more than her. I myself got a Gamegear with Sonic Chaos (Sonic & Tails), but could never finish it and now I've misplaced both. Eventually I got a Megadrive (Genesis) off a friend who let me borrow it for so many years that by the time he had a Playstation he didn't want it back, so I got to keep it. The collection of games that came with it were just a little more impressive than the Master System and Gamegear. Finally, in February 2001 I got a Dreamcast, exclusively to get Sonic Adventure, because it was on offer, and luckily Sonic Adventure 2 came out that very June. However, had I known that both games were going to be ported to the Gamecube and that the Dreamcast was about to die, I might've excercised some patience. Got a Gamecube with Sonic Heroes this year, and I'm hoping to get some more games for Christmas.
As for comics, I collected over 100 issues of Sonic the Comic, but stopped getting it at #200, because I was wasting money on stories I already had once it went reprint. Despairing of StC at that time, I came upon Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog in Forbidden Planet in January 2001 and became a regular customer there, though by summer 2002 I was collecting the new Transformers comics, not StH, which I'm sorry to say was disappointing. I guess I was hoping for a comic book version of SatAM.
Anyway, yeah, I have more interests than just Sonic. My other great obsessions are Transformers (which I've loved even longer than Sonic, so long I can't remember not loving them), and anything written by JRR Tolkien. His world is a fascinating place and I love reading his works. Besides that, I enjoy a good read, I have a wide taste in music (just not stuff where the artists insist on screaming into the mic or swearing every other line), I like various films too (my tastes aren't really genre-specific with them). My long term career ambition is to rule the wor--Ahem! become a journalist or reporter of some kind. It'll become clearer when I've been to university I hope.
Anyway, I'm done now, so you can wake up. :p
