When I CGed my last picture (okay, it was my first) someone commented that my lines looked wiggely. I didn't practice much with the new tablet I got so that may be why. But DAMN was it hard to trace the lines with it... Is it okay if I ink the lines and go from there or will it mess things up?

You should just make sure that you do a good job inking it. I've seen incredible pieces done with pens so it shouldn't be a probem.
